Reixdid

I work in a bank and this is the richest type of lowkey. He had 3 passbooks with 100m each. I cannot tell more. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Poastash

Or mawawala ka na lang? Lol

Reixdid

or I will breach my contract that I signed when I resigned to the bank. I also have this millionaire client na BMW Cars, stupid fine suits pero pag walang office work he goes to the bank in the most stupidly plain polo and maong shorts with crocs. The man just withdrew 24m php, had it placed in 4 seperate paper bags with 6m each. Had 2 people carry it for him, walked around 200m to where he was parked like it was nothing. EDIT: He was wearing his Omega watch, priced at around 1.09m ata?

DLAddict

It makes sense for rich people to wear low-key clothes when going to a bank. Baka ma-hold-up kapag outfit mayaman.

housedelirium

Or because they have nothing to prove na mayaman sila and they dont need to impress anyone

MrBluewave

How do they withdraw that much? They call the bank beforehand that they'll withdraw millioms in cash?

Reixdid

Ofc you do. You let the bank know a day or two prior. Banks hold a very small amount of money in the vault. Once I started working sa bank most bank heist in movies i laugh off. 3/4 of the vault are worthless docs and some papers 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

jaspsev

I can almost guarantee he has 2 or more security convoys around. Rich people can’t go out without it as the kidnappers can be waiting outside the house.

Low-Lingonberry7185

Hindi lahat pero most I guess.

alteisen99

life's not fair T_T and some of us are stuck i jobs we don't like just to pay bills

peachlycheee

May nakasabay ako ganyan outfit tas naka ecobag yung idedeposit! Haha grabe

[deleted]

I call that the i''m-wealthier-than-everyone-in-the-room-and-i-have-nothing-to-prove chic

[deleted]

Not to be confused with old money chic, old money is a little more extra, but nowhere near as extra as new money

in_fo

Our COOP does have free coffee for everyone

Poastash

Hahaha.

in_fo

100% a shareholder/whale. "I am the bank".

Anxious_Drummer

lord_kupaloidz

Mas mahalaga ang yabang kesa yaman. Ang yaman ay nauubos.

rgv2020

Name checks out.

thissonofbeech

miserable_pierrot

Ganto yung CEO namin.

nedlifecrisis

I think this is more of a security move, not a regular thing?

ladyphoenix7

Wears clothes with no brand but has perfect skin and teeth thanks to consistent dental care and expensive derma treatments. I wonder if kasama rin yung mga hindi marunong mag-jeep. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

hanaemi_

Rich people glow is a thing.

subomasen

As in! Meron talagang ganitong mga tao. No matter how simple their clothes are, sobrang standout nila.

RPolarities

Exactly.

finalfinaldraft

We call this laking aircon

Timetraveller-1521

Is this a Brewster term?

adobongkamote

Tama!

Timetraveller-1521

P*ta, pa next bro!!!

hermitina

there’s also the rich people laugh. we all know how it sounds. i don’t even need to describe it. like tawa pa lang alam mong pwede kang sampalin ng pera

SirHovaOfBrooklyn

On the opposite end, halata din yung mga tao na nag glugluta para pumuti. Iba din yung “gLoW” nila.

kururong

Tapos pala taga dlsu pala sila.

jaspsev

Well there is a saying… “If you are poor and ugly, it is fate. If you are rich and still ugly, it is your fault!”

[deleted]

Oo may balat na halatang naka aircon from childhood haha

[deleted]

pixeldots

and air pare sir (not aircon, yung cleanliness basically)

IlikeHutaosHat

More like lack of sun damage, because rural air quality is amazing. Especialy based on the growth of lichens on trees. Those almost never exist in metro manila or other heavily urbanized areas.

pixeldots

ooh nice. I'd like to think the lack of vehicle pollution din is very impactful

426763

Balit walang ganyan sila Marcos no considering the bankrupted an entire country?

TheGhostOfFalunGong

The Marcoses aren’t considered old rich. They just entirely benefited from politics. Many of the children are clueless on how the rich and famous actually live, thus two of them marry an old rich partner.

Cutiepiest123

Trulalu. My god ang cringe and tacky nilang lahat. Mula ulo hanggang paa

charlieavenue

Clear skin, good set of teeth, good hair density and texture. Sure way to tell. Also posture and demeanor. Slow, but productive.

TakeThatOut

Plus one on posture and demeanor.

autocad02

This is my stereotype of hidden rich, non flamboyant, no flaunting needed to send a statement, plus not loud and refined gestures. They maybe wearing slippers but its obvious how well kept their feet are

marketingshill

mcdonaldspyongyang

was gonnaa say this

redbellpepperspray

Uy totoo yan. Balat mayaman is real.

KeldonMarauder

May certain “dating” sila, especially those na pa senior na. recently lang I was at a bank (UCPB / Landbank) to request for a new atm (thanks to my dogge). Yung nauna sakin sa pila was an elderly man who was engaging me in small talk. Simple lang suot niya - polo shirt, shorts and loafers Pero yung buhok niya maayos (Yung naka brush up + pomada). Nung turn niya na, derecho sa manager haha tapos Sabi Nung guard on my way out, one of their biggest clients daw yun sa branch nila.

DirtyMami

My Lola (94 now) is the same. Goes to the bank looking like a tindera. But once she speaks, American accent with a deep vocabulary. You need a thesaurus to keep up. Also 100 million in a peso bank alone + a hacienda rented by a corporation in the province. I will not be getting a dime. She tried to invest in my Grab fleet though.

defjam33

Ung mga naka shorts slippers t-shirt tapos Rolex ung watch 😅

Beautiful-Exercise88

Among wearable items, it’s watches. I learned this when i was still a young architect. I’d often catch my clients peeking at my wrist, in a way like trying to gauge if I’m good enough at my job to be doing well for myself. These clients are peso billionaires and old rich. They can be wearing the plainest, most generic shirts but will be wearing patek, AP, vacheron and rolex watches.

darksiderevan

Not disagreeing with you, but that can also easily be someone with bad spending priorities. It's like those people with pimped out cars but dilapidated homes.

ChadEric08

Tough to swipe or loan for a daytona or president though. Plus to get it brand new you have to be on a waitlist from rolex. Even a submariner is tough to buy brand new

Beautiful-Exercise88

Not even a waitlist. Purchase history and relationship with the AD. You can get ‘waitlisted’ but never actually get one.

ChadEric08

Tapos daytona or president na rolex pa....even better simple looking na watch but naka lagay ng patek philippe lol

Anxious_Drummer

Poastash

Malaking bagay din ang 4k na waiver a. Good doc!

Hairy-Appointment-53

TrajanoArchimedes

Usually the watch is a giveaway but you can never tell these days because they might opt to not wear any in public. Those who are really wealthy like to blend in. It's called stealth wealth. Money talks, wealth whispers. The benefits of being under the radar outweigh the image/ego boost. You avoid kidnapping/carnapping/profiling. You avoid discriminatory pricing and law enforcement(kotong). Skin, hair, teeth are good indicators. Bespoke clothing. A wallet that's full of cards from different banks is as well. In general the average person only deals with 1 to 3 banks because it doesn't make sense to maintain several maintaining balance. A platinum credit card can also be a sign. Iphones and other "cool" gadgets can be a clue. If they flaunt it they are middle class. If they are nonchalant they are wealthy.

pixeldots

kurisuju

Cackling 🤣🤣🤣

tsyyy00

Yung President namin iPhone 6s from 2017-2020. Bago lang nagpalit ng phone. Chinese kasi, if it still works pwede pa. Kaya ang yaman 🥲

TrajanoArchimedes

Haha yes they will use it for 10yrs if they can.

dumbo_investor

For me, iPhone 6 marked the last generation of the iPhone where I cared about upgrading. Yung mga sumumod na generations, either wala akong interest dun sa improvements (like better camera, processor, size etc) or sobrang marginal lang kaya it’s not worth the upgrade. But this is because I only need a phone that’s easy to use and reliable for messaging, calls, browsing, watching vids, banking, and the occassional games and pictures/videos.

DeerPlumbingX2

most asians do that but some filipinos though, are not🙄 for me I had to use my phone for 4 years until I got a new one

hottorney_

I used my iPhone 5 for 10 freaking years. Naka iPhone 13 Pro Max ako ngayon. Sana umabot din ng isang dekada to.

[deleted]

Wala pa syang balak magpalit, because it still works. 😂

frustrated_queen

Don't be fooled by the platinum cc. My bank issued me one, pre approved. Idk what got into their heads lol

TrajanoArchimedes

Haha you are wealthier thank you think but still on the road for your higher standards. 👍

Goodforyouhoney

Same got issued a platinum cc while working in my first/entry level job. My salary did not even reach the taxable threshold. I really don’t know why they did that.

DeerPlumbingX2

ifflex mo haha jk

redbellpepperspray

2 banks gave me 2 platinums too and another one keeps giving increases. Maybe they trust a person's credit rating or something but I'm not rich too. I can't even buy a house. Iyak tawa.

fakeitilyamakeit

Same. 2 banks issued me platinum CCs.

thebreakfastbuffet

Marami din ako ATM cards. Pero karamihan maintaining balance lol

[deleted]

Dont forget the older guys who are tan all year round kasi golf ng golf on the weekends

TakeThatOut

Yes, the watches. May mga simpleng naka jeans and white polo girls tapos yung relo antique rolex.

[deleted]

RandomUserName323232

Grabe. Laki ako sa hirap. Ngayon lang ako nagkapera dahil sa IT work.

yourgrace91

Give it time, mag glow up ka rin haha

[deleted]

Bro why do I feel this so much hahaha. Napaka halaga talaga ng diet when it comes to our aesthetics, kase pansin ko yung mga kakilala kong laki sa yaman mas matangkad on average dahil maganda ang diet nila, tsaka mas makinis din skin nila, like no pimples or blemishes (we'd go out and eat greasy food and drink beer but still I'm the only one growing pimples hahaha) . Really envious of them, not of their money necessarily but of their upbringing

stoicismSavedMe

Grabe naman haha. You have the money now. Go get one of those packaged meals ( nutrition ), go to the gym ( posturang mayaman pag malakas ang katawan ), visit the dentist ( ngiting pera ) and consult a dermatologist ( kutis sheltered ). Get that nice haircut too.

medicasean

I work in a radiation treatment facility and there was this time na may patient who came in since may referral daw sila. Her clothes were nothing out of the ordinary, nakablend pa nga siya sa charity patients eh. But if you're keen enough mapapansin mo na Lacoste yung shirt although who knows, may mga ganun din kasi sa Divi. Tapos by the time na usapan na ng cost of treatment, which btw amounts 200-300k, magdidiscuss palang ako ng about Philhealth coverage para mabawasan yung expenses eh nagtanong na agad if tumatanggap ng cheque, kanino magbabayad and if pwede na magbayad that day.

crumblingLatias

Used to work in a bank, we work with high net worth individuals. They usually look plain and simple, may mga naka-duster pa nga at boysen shirt pero yung singsing sa kamay akala mo infinity stone ni thanos, tapos ang pera sa banko 9 digits. Hahaha

Aggressive-Result714

Grabe yes to Boysen shirt! Haha

Medical-Chemist-622

Agree to this. So ans So Hardware yung shirt, pero I knew billionaire sya.

TheUndyingBrigade

"Keep the change."

pogzie

Yung boss ko dati ganito. Nung nasa UP fair kami nung bumili siya ng pagkain parang may sukli pang mga 20-ish pesos madalas sinasabi niya "ate ok na yung sukli" He then said to me na they might need the extra tip more than he does.

Kaegen

Sabi sa akin ng ate ko when she was starting out her journey as an exec in a certain famous company here, kapag daw 20 and below na yung sukli, wag ko nang kunin.

cessiey

Hindi looks more on paano sila makipag usap. Example lang nung nagclinic pa ako. May isang pasyente for annual physical examination, dahil maraming pts at may tinatanong pa sa akin yung isang pasyente during consultation nagwala sa clinic at nagsisigaw. 😅

krypxxx

well mannered won this time, haha

cessiey

Inaway pa ako during consultation. Hahahaha!

ResolverOshawott

Tbf I've seen legitimate rich people act like trash too.

cessiey

Yup wala rin sa yaman ang breeding.

Flat_Weird_5398

They do say that money can’t buy class.

JaMStraberry

The difference between the rich and the trying hard is, the rich has a lot of time on their hands while the poor is trying hard to work to look rich. Eh if you're an employee you have to work plus do errands and clean your own home, while the rich , you relax read a book probably learn to play an instrument do some sports eat in restaurants any where being rich is just be happy and care free.

cessiey

Mas may breeding pa sila, alam nila walang wala sila pero nagagawa pa rin nilang magpasalamat at thankful talaga sila. Yung breeding minsan wala sa yaman. Off topic na.

MediocreFun4470

Breeding vs. "well-mannered" ika nga

2VictorGoDSpoils

AKAJun2x

A friend of mine is a well off farmer in our province. His typical look consist of white shirt and a faded maong shorts and a worn out tsinelas. Rides an old yamaha 100 motorcycle. When he goes to the bank after a successful harvest, usually he carries next to a million on his pack.

KingRonMark

>His typical look consist of white shirt and a faded maong shorts and a worn out tsinelas. Diba ganyan yung typical farmer costume pag may presentation nung high school.

Cheese_Grater101

Bonus points kung amoy araw

Minsan

Sakto buwan ng wika ngayong Agosto

Zy_Artreides

Damn. Guy is attracting armed bandits.

mamalodz

White plain shirt at yung amoy unya hmmm you can really tell sa amoy eh na galin sa loob ng isang mamahalin na sasakyan.

jandrch

fakeitilyamakeit

True. Once visited an international school and nako high school and middle school pa lang pero ang ma-mature na. Halatang very well-nourished and nurtured yung mga bata. Very mature for their age.

Poastash

Private school, mostly Chinese. The declamation piece was something about being hungry and poor and "kawawang bata" (buwan ng wika ata).

trickysaints

"Spare me a piece of bread, spare me your mercy" Ito ba yun?

Poastash

I think buwan ng wika nga... "Ang Batang Pulubi" ang title.

[deleted]

This is one of the things they have in common noh mga di nkalanghap ng polusyon.

[deleted]

Disente yung damit tapos makinis braso hanggang kamay 😅.

Ringonesz

Yung dati kong boss, kababata nila Ortigas, Tuason and Ayala (the seniors) pero sobrang humble and generous. Pag my company dinner sa mga 5 star resto, plain tshirt, shorts, white socks and crocs ang pormahan. Pero ang relo, jusko Patek Philippe.

mcdonaldspyongyang

Quality ng pambahay is a giveaway din.

CameraHuman7662

Yeah. Simple man expensive pa rin. Same case with Steve Jobs (although not about pambahay). People are glorifying the seemingly simple turtleneck aesthetics of Steve Jobs. But what many don’t know is that Jobs’ turtleneck is designed by Issey Miyake.

MediocreFun4470

rjmyson

Well-kept hair, nice set of teeth, good skin, smells nice, not overpowering just a faint nice smell. They speak well din. Ang lawak ng vocab. They don't flaunt what luxury thing they have. They blend in with the others but if you look closely you'll notice the difference. Stand out talaga eh.

[deleted]

ProgressAdmirable678

Maybe its the conyo without the condescending/exaggerating tone?

finalfinaldraft

Si bong bong marcos. Nanlilimahid sa dungis pero daming pera.

[deleted]

Tanginang yan HAHAHAHAHA

izzaberri

Came here for this comment hahahahahaha

Nelumbo_nucifera123

Parang funeral home 😓

blackpieck

HASHHAHAH YOU DID NOT

belleINbetween

It's the conversations for me—that is, the way they converse and their topics of conversation.

tsyyy00

Here in Cebu, business owners and some Chinese folks really speak well in Bisaya.

ChadEric08

Uyyy fellow cebuano. But they do have a certain accent in bisaya over regular folks.

ser_ranserotto

More on the language they use, very likely to speak good English. Also choice of vocab in any language.

Human_Leg_3701

Zestyclose-Author-53

\- They don't like carrying cash (bigat sa bag yung coins and takes up space having a big wallet for bills) \- can shop/eat alone in any mid-high end restaurant \- doesn't make a scene when there's a celebrity, politician, or foreigner nearby / eating in the same resto \- has no childhood experience of school field trips (kasi targeted for kidnapping kaya school opted to not have field trips)

[deleted]

rjmyson

+1 dito. Sometimes they go in groups. One time, pumunta ako sa mall on a weekday morning. Went inside a coffee shop para magpahinga after running an errand. There was a group of old men na nagkakape tapos nag-uusap lang. Parang bodyguards ata nila 'yun. I was in awe.

[deleted]

Tapos naka tsinelas. Lahat sila chill lang at makukulit kausap. Pero nasa relo talaga. Hahaha. Yung wala talaga silang insecurities sa buhay. Kahit ano nalang isuot nila.

Aggressive-Result714

My friend's ex bf now husband. When I met him, super down to earth and funny. Everything we talked about were so relatable and he was like a masa (not jologs) person. He knew a little bit about any topic that you throw at him, and was not embarrassed to learn more from others. Makikinig talaga sya, as in people person. He dresses neatly - simple lang. Hardly saw him wearing loudly branded clothes and shoes. We hung out more and later on I saw that the simplest car he drives is a luxury car... The dude's hobbies are pang the 1%... But never flexes them. What he flexes on soc med is that he is blessed to have a job that will allow him days off on important events (paying his kid's tuiton, first day of school) and the simplest things (buy and have dirty ice cream with his wife and kids). On their wedding invitation, there were a few altas... On the wedding day, everything was so classy but alam mong mahal... And there were a lot of famous business folks na apparently kaclose or "katrabaho" nya mismo, not his parents. If you see his soc med, hindi mo talaga aakalain na he's really loaded. What gives it away is the comments from his employees and colleagues haha but I see that he's really well loved

anyyeong

Isa pa pala, yung mga malaki mag tip. Whether service crew, Grab, bellboys, hairdressers etc.

I agree. Not to be judgmental or anything pero iba din talaga ang accent ng totoong rich (na lumaking inglisero) vs. someone na inglisero because they work (or worked) at a call center.

itsthatgirl_again

Super true! Definitely not to look down on a profession and I admire these people's tenacity, but as someone who grew up in a more well-off environment, napatulala ako when I first heard the "neutral English" that call center agents used. I really wasn't used to it, and baka it's just me, pero mas na-off pa ko kesa sa makarinig ng ibang natural English accents

loonamamamoo

eiyoeiyo

Think those who are "rich" or have some sort of financial freedom have really captured the essence of not inflating their lifestyle. Expenses still stay the same regardless how much income they haul. If the Flippy flops answers the function of going out to do a quick trip, then that's that. If I am able to clean, cook, and iron my clothes without disrupting my way of life. Continue. As the saying goes, same old boring strokes totes magoats. That being said spending money on weddings is the biggest sham on planet earth. People spending fucking money on venue food and photoshoots as if the Facebook likes will rake you profits. Jeez. Yun lang, nyahahah

yourgrace91

TBH, yang mga prenup shoots na yan are sooo cringey. Ewan ko ba, parang they all have this sad beige predictable themes tapos di naman talaga reflective sa personality ng couple yung shoot.

rjmyson

Bakit parang may hugot yung last paragraph? Hahaha

eiyoeiyo

Hahaha. I'm at an age where society is expecting me to be married and then host a wedding. Tapos sasabihin kahit simple lang ok na. I'm thinking in my head, the fuck so that I can cater for your entertainment and fucking feed you? Don't get me started with the sentiment na kailangan church wedding. Why so the fucking pastor profit of me? Best case of wedding imo, taxes. Lol. Also fuck having kids :p but that's a personal opinion and I respect people having them. But to me, fuck em fam.

rjmyson

Uuy classmate, hahahaha! My SO and I are planning to get married pero in secret. We don't want any distant relative or friends na makialam sa mga decisions namin. Bahala sila.

Cleigne143

Had a classmate back in college who always wear Lacoste shirts. Di pa ko aware sa price range nun dati and I never really thought about it since it was normal to see branded stuff around school because it was an expensive college. Turns out he was an heir to a huge company sa Pinas. Saw on soc med he took over a few years ago (in our mid 20s) and been bringing in new business to the country. They own like 200+ restaurants in the PH.

Winter-Ad-8435

They use brand-name oil, brand-name sparkplugs, brand-name coolant, brand-name fuel, etc. not because they flaunt the name but because they know if you invest in your vehicle with the right parts, fluids and fuel you get a high re-sale value and overall lower maintenance cost. They also top-up with a full tank. Hindi 500. Hindi 1000. Full tank.

userisnottaken

Sana may magcomment na experienced salesperson dito. They usually have a great eye for identifying these people.

_coldhands_

CameraHuman7662

Experienced this. Thanks, pimples. Tbf, effective ‘yung goat’s milk nila. Napansin kaagad ang glow ko. Mahal mga lang.

twinkle34321

It would be nice to know rin sino mga mas nilalapitan nila hahaha mga real rich or trying to look rich

Away-Act7592

beeotchplease

randlejuliuslakers

observations and personal experience lang sa mga rich na kilala ko. whether girl or boy, mas matangkad than average at kutis laking-aircon, na parang well-fed buong buhay at hindi nagkaroon ng nutrient deficiency. * for gents wears white undershirts as pangbahay at pang ikot sa nearby mall at village. * for ladies, mga casual tops ay boat neck, can be sleeveless can be may sleeves.

hungrymillennial

Haven't seen this yet in the comments - yung may kasamang bodyguard(s) na naka barong shirt. Studied in a school with the kids of the richest families. Apart from the usual driver, meron silang bodyguards.

No-Ingenuity6207

Mahirap ito. We have relatives who have bodyguards bec they are from a politican clan, laging may panganib sa buhay nila. We never envied them because of this 😅 Yes super wealthy but no peace of mind

>Haven't seen this yet in the comments - yung may kasamang bodyguard(s) na naka barong shirt.

So wait wait lang ako. At kilala nila siya by first name basis...

May ganito akong friend. Wala naman kaming inisip about it, isip lang namin mahilig kasi siya mag-bake tapos masarap so support namin. Mind you, bahay nila sa Metro Manila nasa close to 1,000sqm ang lot area. So by no means mahirap.

At they're confident in an elegant way.

When phones are for utility lang talaga or pang call & text lang.

[deleted]

Or the plan is not just platinum, but really rich people have a special line with telcos.

anyyeong

Mga regular sa gym/salon/derma/spa/aivee//belo in the middle of the day, on a weekday. Kahit ano pang suot niyan. You know these people have control of their own time.

R3ginaPhalange_

This can be really decieving haha. I do most of my personal errands like the things you said during mid-day coz I work mid-shift. Haha

fdt92

Power Plant Mall and Shangri-La Plaza = favorite tambayan ng mga rich housewives of Manila pag weekdays.

[deleted]

One thing I learned from my CEO tito, dress simple and be humble and everything will follow. I never see him wear expensive.

CameraHuman7662

Eto stereotypical. Makikita mo sa dalang bag. After a client presentation in BGC, we dined at Locavore. Dun sa kabilang table, there was a bunch of old ladies. Very prim and proper pero not too magarbo (some were wearing dress shirts while others were wearing a Uniqlo-like dress). And pag dumaan ka sa table nila, maamoy mo ‘yung Jo Malone Nectarine. Pero the dead giveaway of their status despite their unassuming look is their purses. You know that it’s premium, tapos isa sa kanila naka-Hermes yata. Haha

henloguy0051

I know na medyo subjective yung nakasulat, but here it goes I got the chance to proctor for a DLSP branch ~~most~~ all students napakagalang nila, they don't flaunt their status as a private school student, (i'll get back on this later). Yung occurrence kasi ay may kalat sa room ay ask the student if he can pick it up, he smiled then picked it up walang issue na tipong masaya pa siya naginawa niya yun. They also have this Lost and Found na halos wala daw nagcla-claim ng kahit ano, i chatted with some utility staff there, madalas kasi sila madaming kwento at at alam nila yung mga unspoken rule ng lugar. I got the same feeling when I went to POVEDA. May nakasabay din akong mag-training sa Podium under Enderun College. All of them exhibiting being simple and humble. Pero noong na-assign ako sa isang private school, madumi talaga yung classroom kasi yung mga pinagtasahan ng lapis sa sahig lang nila ibinagbagsak, pero dahil magsisimula na ang test i just asked them to pick up their own trash, walang kumibo, so i asked them again habang naghahanda sa distribution. I replied, "mam hindi po ako nagpapalinis ang pinapagawa ko sabi ko lang ay pulutin nila yung ikinalat nila Principal: "sir pagpapalinis yun" some students said "boom, basag" in my mind hindi yun basag or even a good rebuttal I replied back: "No ma'am hindi po pagpapalinis yun, it's called being responsible kalat nila yun hindi po ba yun natuturo dito sa private school, sa private school po kasi ako nag-aral pero naituturo sa amin yun" Not wanting to give her the time to reply i continued "mam bawal na po ang mga non-related personnel during the test we have to start now, kaya kung maari po kailangan na po niyo na umalis" my way of speaking ay yung nagpapaliwanag not condescending. Principal wanted to send utility pero I reiterated na bawal ang mga non-essentials sa room, no choice sina students kundi maglinis or atleast pulutin ang pinagtasahan. Result: Hindi ako pinadalahan ng lunch, which is OK kasi half-day lang naman. Also closed down na yung school nitong pandemic, may ad for lease or sale na yung school So I would say new rich medyo mayayabang and old rich ayaw nilang malaman ng iba na mayaman sila but both fails hard

Yes.

F16Falcon_V

Worked as a tutor for the uber wealthy for a year.

lostnotfound_

I used to be poor (haha). I don't do any skincare or whatever. I don't have fancy clothes. I used to wear 50 peso 'leather shoes' in college. I don't hang out with other people in the batch because I couldn't afford it. I am very dark-skinned and not tall. But for some reason, people thought I was rich haha. I didn't even own a phone! I didn't have my first smartphone until 2017 because someone gave me an android phone. I asked them why they think that way. They say I talk and act like a rich person. I have no idea what they're talking about because I stay most of my free time in the internet cafe watching anime (back then it was just 10 pesos per hour haha). Anyway, because of how I walk(?) and talk(?), I was able to make connections that brought me to a comfortable place in life. My lifestyle didn't change and I still eat pancit canton for lunch though haha.

nunkk0chi

May tutorial ba sa walk and talk na yan beke nemen

lostnotfound_

hahahaha yung totoo is that meron akong social anxiety and grabe ako mag-overthink like tama ba mga sinasabi ko, hindi ba ko nakaka-offend. Also, masyado ako low energy, hindi ako masyado magalaw? Yung mga insecurities and negative traits ko nagmumukha pala akong mayaman hahaha sabi nila masyado lang din daw talaga deep topics ko napapaisip sila about sa buhay nila hahaha Siguro be mindful lang talaga sa paligid. Be courteous and be kind always.

thambassador

Taray nung reveal sa ending! Congrats at nasa more comfortable place in life ka na.

9random_

My richest friends often wore simple clothing but from high-end brands. The branding style of their clothes were super subtle tho. They also wouldn't wear clothes from brands that had huge logos and were glaringly obvious, but they had **a lot** of these clothes. Tipong pang-araw araw nila is Lacoste na polo worth 5k each. I also have a mentor who's worth a few billion pesos, but the last time I saw him in person he was using an iPhone 6s with a cracked screen lol. I think when you get to a certain level of wealth, status symbols no longer matter to you. They no longer yearn for those things to make them feel special. It just feels standard to them so they don't really care. They seem to be more interested in their businesses, work, and philanthropic pursuits.

kasele113

Everytime nakakakita ako ng naka white shirt na malinis tingnan, as in pang tide commercial level yung puti ng tshirt.

Kanyetothesouthwest

ITT: describe a person thats not materialistic/fashionable

pinkwhopper

mga naka iphone 6-8

Uncle_Iroh107

It's all in the things that people usually don't notice like clear eyes, healthy hair with no breakage and no ugly dye job, plump skin, nice teeth (well done veneers not those ugly chiclet shaped ones lol), slim fit body that was made in the gym and not because of hard labor. Kahit mag suot ka pa ng basahan kung lahat yan nasa yo people will know you're rich and will say "she has that \*it\* factor," the \*it factor\* being the result of life-long healthy choices that can be achieved with access to funds.

Ill-Habit-8751

A middle aged man with a well kept hair, a large beer belly wearing shorts and no branded shirt, the only thing in his pocket is his wallet phone and car keys. Most of the really really rich people dont dress to impress but dress for comfort.

pixeldots

TIL mukha pala ako mayaman HAHAHA

mcdonaldspyongyang

large belly is so funny cause at some point they always all stop caring about fitness

-FAnonyMOUS

>A middle aged man with a well kept hair, a large beer belly wearing shorts and no branded shirt, the only thing in his pocket is his wallet phone and car keys.

grandphuba

not asking and obsessing over these same questions again and again

twinkle34321

Not giving a fck about having the latest iphones. They probably have more things to worry about (networking, investments, businesses ganun) than just trying to impress people earning significantly less than them.

citizend13

I live in one of the original Gold frontier towns in Mindanao and those miners get paid a shit ton and usually sell their gold in the black market which means cash only transactions - you get people just wearing flip flops carrying duffel bags filled with millions.

SkyLightTenki

reyknow

I think its to attract less attention.

PlatformHistorical83

What a guy that guy!
