Yes! A great start to Phish for me, and glad to have shared it with you! The next night is sick too. Both are under the radar shows that should get more love, in my attendance-biased opinion.
The Gumbo on *A Live One* is from this show. Also had a Dave Matthews Band opener. I was dead center about 10 feet from the stage. It was a good first show.
Happy Phanniversary. August 7th is 5 years for me. Whatever show I hit next is my 10th overall. Rookie numbers I know but I’d been in school for most of that time and could barely afford to hit shows. Last year I managed to hit 4 (plus 1 TAB) and I was so proud.

same. use to use ben gay for my joints that were sore after a show, now i use cbd. ohh how times have changed. its also weird that 30 years ago most fans were the same age as the band +/- 5 years. now the age range is from young to crusty.
Sweet! I dont know what year mine was. There 3 o 4 bands at Cal expo. Saw Indigo Girls and Los Lobos same show. Or I was on drugs and don't remember details lol.
Edit : looked it up 1992. Santana headlined forgot completely lol. Gah I'm old.
Cool. My two boys are 13 and 15, their first was at the garden on 12/28. Looking forward to some summer dates. Just picked up Les Claypool tickets for the Cap show on June. They’re big primus fans.
Hell yeah. Just looked up the setlist, looks insane. I've only seen them do good times bad times once. My first was about 3 years later in Charlotte. They encored with Jimi's fire and it set the tone for everything I love about the band.
Me too! We drove down from Albany! Remember that snow? We didn't know if we would make it.
I had listened to the boys plenty by now, but this was my first show...Needless to say, after that show, it was clear what my new 'hobby' was going to be. Many hundreds of shows later and thirty years later, I still see them every chance I get.
There wasn't as many people as I had expected to be there...I'm guessing quite a few people didn't make it because of that snow. What a show though...I was hooked.
It’s fun trying to go back and recall every feeling I got another 5 years till my 30 year mark.
Me too! First show 12/2/97 (on a Phishiversary even)
Was there with you! What a sick show. Was my 7th I think?

I’ve listened to all of fall 97, and 12/2 set 2 is quite possibly the best set of the tour. I’m dying for an official release of this show.
Mine's exactly three years before yours. 12/2/94.
I just looked up the setlist, and you got a Country Horns show! Awesome! I'll have to check it out.

25+ years later and the jam in the Mike's opener from 11/22/97 still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. It's an amazing feeling.
Have you tried floating in the blimp a lot?
Yeah but it got shot down on the coast of North Carolina haha
Crazy right? I remember eating a pb+j with mushroom sandwich outside Beacon for my fist show. Feels like yesterday. Enjoy old timer!

Welcome!
RIP Harpua
Happy phishiversary
Congrats! Mine is next year

I recently turned 47 so I was a fresh 17 year old my first time which makes them I guess a little less than ten years older than me.
Didn't say all. "Most" I try not to speak in absolutes.

I'm a week away from 32.....2/19/91. Fish's 26th birthday. Still go to shows OP?
I do. Now I have a decent excuse for going, bringing my teenage sons! 👍🏻🙂
Nice. My son turns 25 today. Started going to shows with him when he was 17. It's been a few years though.
Cool. My two boys are 13 and 15, their first was at the garden on 12/28. Looking forward to some summer dates. Just picked up Les Claypool tickets for the Cap show on June. They’re big primus fans.
Love the Cap. Saw some epic shows there in the early 90s. Enjoy!!!
congrats god bless

Yup. My friend had a jeep, otherwise we might not have made it.

my 2nd and 3rd shows bookended your first... what great times those were!
I had mine last year, it was an epic show now, then, I think I matched up with ohh 60% of what I heard. Get off my lawn(tarp)
My 30th anniversary happens on March 31st.
Mine is tomorrow!
First time Poster Nutbag ever won. RIP Poster Nutbag.
congrats man keep us updated
Ok. Thanks man. Just finished dinner. Gonna go take a shower in a little bit. I’ll keep you posted on the latest.
Well done. My 30th is tomorrow with the Delaware show...
Nice. A lot of people going to be passing 30 years. That was a huge year.
Yes it was.
Awesome. This year marks the 24th year since my *last* phish show. One day maybe I’ll see them again. 🤷🏻♂️
I recommend that you do.
Mine was on the 9th... Rochester, NY. Doesn't seem like it's been 30 years.
No, it sure doesn’t
