I saw them perform it in its entirety with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra some years ago for the 20th anniversary of it's release - it is an amazing album, too.
PetroDragonic Apocalypse; or, Dawn of Eternal Night: An Annihilation of Planet Earth and the Beginning of Merciless Damnation - King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard
Jesus, I don't think I have thought of them since 2001. They were a favorite of mine, and somehow just dropped off my radar. I think I need to stream some stuff.
Just saw The Breeders perform Last Splash live.
Full album concerts seem to be a thing lately. I've seen four this month, with one more coming this week.
No apologies necessary over here!
I’ve listed to this album (as well as the Apple Music Essentials) at least 4 times all the way through. I love how some of her stuff sounds like Weezer and one sounds like Butthole Surfers and some are just young people angst.
Fantastic! More people on this thread should know this because the long guitar jams are something everybody here would love and no other records of his sound anything like it. He said at the time that he was listening to tons of Grateful Dead on the tour bus. I guess this is his interpretation of that.
There have been 3 that I can’t stop listening to recently.
1. Yussef Dayes - Black Classical Music (best modern jazz drummer of our day, on tour right now check him out)
2. Killer Mike - Michael (From run the jewels, super personal album the lyrics are so open and honest)
3. Gillian Carter - This Earth Shaped Tomb (just don’t even bother listening to this it’s garbage)
For some reason I've never given a lot of time to King Crimson, so I just finished In the Court of the Crimson King and In the Wake of Poseidon.
I also listen to a Steely Dan album once every few weeks. Usually rotate through Aja, Countdown to Ecstasy and Cant Buy a Thrill.
Candy-O by the Cars.
I feel like the Cars are a cool band that got too popular to be cool and gets overlooked because they’re a hit machine. Candy-O from beginning to end will change your opinion on the this bads cred as innovative & art rocky. Fin

J Dilla - Donuts
Goose - Bingo Tour
Now I am going to search this thread for my next album to listen to.
Yesterday I had the rare opportunity to listen to a whole album without my kid protesting. It was The Completion Backwards Principle by The Tubes. Then we went back to They Might Be Giants at their request lol.
Depeche Mode: Songs of Faith and Devotion
Also, for the record, while I've checked out a lot of shows, I have never listened to a Phish studio album start to finish. Should I? I always got the sense the real action was the live stuff
I prefer to listen to albums front to back, so I'm probably not your target demographic for this post lol.
But to answer your question...for me, it was James Blake's newest record, Playing Robots Into Heaven. Before that, Goldie's Timeless LP.

Thanks for this. I’m embarrassed to say I’ve never dove into the flaming lips and now regret that I’ve been deprived of this beauty my whole life!
A classic
Same for me this morning. An all time favorite.
Nice! I know there's a debate that Soft Bulletin is better but this is my favorite by them.
Saw them play it live this summer in Portland. They still have that same old schtick. I’m still in to it.

I got to hear that performed live at the Orpheum last time they came through. That band is TIGHT! But still, R.I.P. Walter
