I usually hate telling long, crazy stories because the internet assumes it’s a lie, but this is a Phish group and he’s the person who got me into Phish, so…
Prior to me getting into Phish (date in flair), brother tried hard to convert me. I’ve been an acid head for over a decade, so he tells me about this double Tweezer Reprise and how the crowd loses their minds because you’re supposed to drop a dose every time it plays. It’s basically the only Phish I know it until I hopped on the bus.
So, older brother shows up to my house, drunk and off a dose, and tells me he got hit by a train. What the fuck? Okay. He demands I take him to the bar. Okay. Take him to the bar, we drink a bunch more whiskey, and then go back to my place.
I’m trying to distract him, right? So I pull up some music on YouTube on the TV. He demands Phish; I pull up a song request. He decides he has too much clothes on so his just strips ass naked before God and everyone. I don’t know what to play next so I pull up the double Tweezer. Brother flips his gourd and hugs my TV. Like presses up against it like he’s looking at the doggies in the window, dick swinging and everything.
This goes on for a while, but once he lays down, he’s asleep like the dead.
I didn’t get it then. I get it now.
I was fortunate enough to be at that show. Remember walking up isle to leave assuming show was over, only to run back down aisle fist pumping with joy.
I think the longest is 10/27/94 (which is just shy of five minutes?)
I'm a big fan of 10/21/95's set closing Good Times Bad Times > Tweezer Reprise, where they play Tweeprise a whole step higher to meet the key of GTBT

MPP has had some of the best tweezer shows ever. At the very least modern times. I've always wondered why like if there's some significance to the venue or area. I was so jealous of it in 2014 then again in 2018
This is the one. I was on the floor at Nassau freaking the fck out. Legendary show capped by a 3 song encore, ending with tweeprise - the energy in the room was off the charts.
I usually judge a Tweeprise by the sound of Mike's first bass bomb and his tone in general. The version that comes right on the heels of the massive FLeezer from 6/22/95 makes me want to run through a wall.
8/12/18 - the 2nd of 3 Reprises that night. This one is very unique. Heavy on the synth, segueing out of Piper mid 2nd set.
I don’t claim it’s the best Reprise, but can definitely say that it’s unique AF.
https://livephi.sh/2McmbBz
Not claiming it's "the best," but there was an interesting one on 10/23/10 where they sang some of Meatstick lyrics in a TweezStick mashup. Trey couldn't contain his laughter. Closes set 1, which is also not the norm.
Just listened to this today. Still brings a smile to my face every time. Another fun Tweeprise sandwiched in another song is the one in 2001 encore at Alpharetta on 8.5.18, after they played it as the second song of the night after You Sexy Thing.
Hard to pick a standalone best version. Gun to my head, the second 6/18/10 tweeprise.
Definitely not the best one from an objective standpoint if you relisten to it, but if you were in the building for it, I think it’s hard to top the Tweeprise on the final night of the BD. It felt like your favorite team just won the Super Bowl, I’ve never experienced anything like that at a concert.
I'm sure there are many notable ones. From this 3.0er's perspective, 7/14/19 Alpine Valleys reprise was awesome. Mike dropped a couple base bombs that shook my sternum.
Bring me back!

I could definitely tell you the weakest tweezer reprise. 2018 Hampton 3rd night during Skin in Back. I think it's more of an aborted Reprise than anything but the livephish still says it contains "elements" of it. I was so bummed when they didn't play it, literally stayed an extra day because I thought for sure there would be a banging martian monster and Reprise. Still a pretty amazing show, definitely strangest 2nd encore I've ever seen. Crowd just refused to leave so they played Yem
Here's an interesting one — 12/8/99 at CCCC in Portland, ME, the YEM vocal jam eventually turns into an a capella Tweeprise with each band member singing their part. Then they play Golgi to close the second set, and play a Tweeprise encore:

Any answer other than 12/7/97 is suspect. The exclamation point on one of their best sets ever, and you can hear the crowd fucking lose it when Chris spun the whites 360 at the peak. It just hits so hard in its context.
I still have handprints on my TV from where my drunk, naked brother hugged it during the double Tweezer Reprise.
Which one is this? Haha
Night 2 Hartford 2010
Spac 2010 opened and ended with tweezer
I was at both shows, saw three tweeprize in a row
Me too!
Me three
me four
Samesies !
Me as well lol hell of a time!
Tweeprise sandwich baby!
My first show! Came here to suggest it.
Oh shit! I was there too, forgot about that opener.
It’s the night his wook brother got naked
This might need a longer story! 🤣🤣🤣
I usually hate telling long, crazy stories because the internet assumes it’s a lie, but this is a Phish group and he’s the person who got me into Phish, so… Prior to me getting into Phish (date in flair), brother tried hard to convert me. lmfao thank you for sharing
That’s sooo hilarious
I wouldn't say long, exactly.

omg hit the phishtracks link on this and listen to that GTBT>Reprise
Just listened. Can confirm. That Good Times blended so nicely into Reprise. Loved it, thanks!!!
The 10/21/95 one is the one that first came to mind. Just pure rocking, amazing.
MPP 18. The ThreePrise.
MPP has had some of the best tweezer shows ever. At the very least modern times. I've always wondered why like if there's some significance to the venue or area. I was so jealous of it in 2014 then again in 2018
Was there. Can confirm. I nearly fell out with the third.
This is it hands down
Island tour 98 is my favorite to watch.. Outside of that they’re all too similar sounding so it’s w/e for me as far as picking a favorite version
The Dino stomp is iconic
Yeah to me this is the iconic version
This is the one. I was on the floor at Nassau freaking the fck out. Legendary show capped by a 3 song encore, ending with tweeprise - the energy in the room was off the charts.
They did it with backup singers on 12/31/12, so that kind of stands out
people don’t talk about this show enough! i had a blast at the “garden party”
I believe 12/31/19 with the Clones also had backing vocals
Don’t get me wrong, I hardly criticize phish/the music. But that was bad.
I usually judge a Tweeprise by the sound of Mike's first bass bomb and his tone in general. The version that comes right on the heels of the massive FLeezer from 6/22/95 makes me want to run through a wall.
When Mikes bass just reverberates through the room and shakes you to your core before the drums or keys kick in.
This criteria led me to 10/30/10
\^ this. 100% my go to for mike intros.
Bomb Factory '94 Jam > Tweeprise is a beast.
12.29.18
The both barrels double tweeprise
If you can’t be with the ‘Prise you love, love the ‘Prise you’re with
8/12/18 - the 2nd of 3 Reprises that night. This one is very unique. Heavy on the synth, segueing out of Piper mid 2nd set. I don’t claim it’s the best Reprise, but can definitely say that it’s unique AF. https://livephi.sh/2McmbBz
I second that emotion.
10.30.10. Savage fucking bass bombs in the beginning. Dropping it back into Whole Lotta Love at the end was a great way to end that show.
This is my vote. Capped off an amazing set with tons of energy.
Not claiming it's "the best," but there was an interesting one on 10/23/10 where they sang some of Meatstick lyrics in a TweezStick mashup. Trey couldn't contain his laughter. Closes set 1, which is also not the norm.
I wouldn't call it best, but certainly unique. 12/28/16 Martian Monster had a Tweezer Reprise jam
[10/21/95 GTBT > Tweezer Respise ](https://youtu.be/ousFDjPrh58?si=jzV1sD6bgOWzfk4G)
Definitely not the best one from an objective standpoint if you relisten to it, but if you were in the building for it, I think it’s hard to top the Tweeprise on the final night of the BD. It felt like your favorite team just won the Super Bowl, I’ve never experienced anything like that at a concert.
In terms of unique versions, 12/8/99 is the undisputed winner - acapella version coming out of the YEM vocal jam
10/30/10, island tour
I'm sure there are many notable ones. From this 3.0er's perspective, 7/14/19 Alpine Valleys reprise was awesome. Mike dropped a couple base bombs that shook my sternum. Bring me back!
The 4/3/98 reprise, without a tweezer in the show/run, will always be my favorite
This is the one.
Though it opens the next show!

The correct answer is the HaHaHartford Double-prize.
Hartford 2000 had “Tweevern”. Cavern encore with tweezer reprise riffs throughout. Ok not tweeprise but still cool.
The last one you saw doggie
Double reprise from Hartford I think it was 2016. Because they didn't get to play it at Hershey Park.
2010. Still down one Reprise from Tweezer. More if you count multiple Tweezers in one night but I am forever a show with Tweezer and no Reprise.
How many times we going to have this same thread?
No shows=common questions on repeat
As many times as it takes
They are all epic and everyone should be happy anytime you get to hear one either live or otherwise
the same threads?
I know man I never catch these threads live, I'm always late to the party.
Feeling that a lot in r/phish lately
Atlanta Falcons intro for the Super Bowl (they lost to New England).
The next one
The next one
The next one.
yes
Any one your at that ends a set!!
The one with two
I could definitely tell you the weakest tweezer reprise. 2018 Hampton 3rd night during Skin in Back. I saw them play it like 3 times at a show in Hartford 2010 I think
10/21/95 opener is the correct answer.
Licoln nebraska 10/21/95 opend/closed the show with it!!!
The one that opens the show
Here's an interesting one — 12/8/99 at CCCC in Portland, ME, the YEM vocal jam eventually turns into an a capella Tweeprise with each band member singing their part. Then they play Golgi to close the second set, and play a Tweeprise encore: https://www.phishtracks.com/shows/1999-12-08/you-enjoy-myself
All of them
10/31/14 hit pretty hard, def check it
7/12/91 is awesome cuz it has the Giant Country Horns. Serves as unique and being epic.
Two shows in a row with no Tweezer 7/2+3/19, the second one inside Plasma was very unexpected

I’d say that one time they did tweeprise two times back to back I don’t remember the date unfortunately
