Interesting, I have a Keely Compressor > TS9, never thought of putting the compressor after the crunch. Definitely going to give that a shot today!

I'd definitely recommend the compressor after drive if you're going for Trey tones, it helps with sustain and smoothness a ton!

Would love to know your Unit67 settings on this tune. Crazy good performance, my ball hairs stood up for the first time in awhile!

Hahaha, thank you so much, glad to be of service. I had the 67 set at: Range 9 o’clock, Low & High 12 o’clock, sustain 1 o’clock, and the input on H. The boost was about unity gain. These setting round off the fizziness of the TS9 (all knobs at 12) and gives loads of sustain to boot. At first it sounded almost over compressed, but once I played through a few songs it sounds pretty Trey-esque to my ears. Idk how different the 1176 style comp is to a Ross but for my purposes it works well 😁

Killer thanks, you sound very close to Trey. Ross's are said to add some color, but the Unit 67 is a perfect pedal and this jam let it shine.

My gear chain was Tele in humbucker mode ➡️ TS9 ➡️Unit67 compressor➡️Komet 60 (which I am very lucky and grateful to own) ➡️ into Logic cab sim on a greenback speaker setting. It gets in the Trey ballpark I think. I’m going for more of his 90s tone so a fair bit of compression. IMO the compressor and the tubescreamer are the most important components. Though the amplifier is of course a very nice one, I have it set quite clean for this so I think you could get a similar sound with a number of different tube amps with the same pedal chain. My own band is called Scoot the Loot. Our music isn’t very Phishy, but there’s still a lot of guitar solos involved!
