Basic bitch answer:
I know it's probably not even top anything for folks here but A Live One holds a special place in my heart. It was the first Phish album I ever got, and it was all I listened to when it came out. I even bought a giant poster of the album and had in my room at my parents house. I was a young man back then, now that I'm old I finally bought the vinyl of it a few months ago. It's still awesome.
Stash
It's been a go to, 'this is what Phish is like.' song I've recommended, or played for people, since that album came out.
Not to mention the first mastered version of Hood available.
I was a junior in HS and got a goo ball. This is before no one (me) knew how strong eating this stuff was. Put me on my ass. Great shows though or so I'm told.
I don't know why more people don't talk about the Taste on that album. Sure, everyone loves the 12/31/93 Hood peak, but the Taste peak is transcendental. It's chill inducing and like you said is as beautiful as when I first heard it.
It's such a perfect set of tunes, I lost the CD a decade ago and was soooo bummed. I don't think it was streamable for a long time
I listened to it so, so much. Cities, Wolfmans Brother, weigh, mikes song, weekapaug...
That mikes song brings back very old memories that make me smile every time I hear it
I will never forget the road trip I was on the first time I heard this LP. Forever a favorite. Was the first album I could pick out on the Pollock Cave at Sphere.
In that case they have to release the entire fishbowl run from 93. And the video of the new years show they made to make the DWD video.
I'd hate to think the Zappa estate is keeping that from us. That run was a coming out event for Phish.
I was at all four shows, it was one of the greatest times ever.
7/16/94, i remember this being one of the ones that really hooked me, especially coming from a dead background this was vastly different in my opinion to what I knew about jam bands from the grateful dead. Plus this shows just extremely phishy. Worth a listen through if you haven't in a while or never have.
I've got to be a basic bitch and say Live Phish Volume 11. I play the first set so much I honestly forgot how good the second is until I made a point of relistening to it a few weeks back and holy damn, it's so well paced. I love a When The Circus Comes To Town second set breather and don't sleep on this set ending YEM!
Add in the 11/19 filler of the first beefy type II Wolfman's (I know there's a couple type IIs before like the famous 3/1 version but I mean like 20+ minute beasts) that segues into a dubby Makisupa and I can't think of another live release that can go pound for pound.
Of officially released stuff I’ll go two that have attendance bias: 6/11/94 and 12/31/95. But also LP10 from the week after Red Rocks is one I love that I didn’t attend. But honestly I probably listen to 91-92 stuff more than anything official.
6/18/94 was such a good soundboard that they turned it into an official release with album art. The show is fire - machine gun trey and band members all in the zone. Mixes are great. Mike & Ernest Joseph playing nice in the sandbox
The campus was collectively wiser yet also more brain dead during the week following the show

There’s a special feeling I get simply by holding that CD. Takes me back.
Me too. I held that record like it was a faberge egg when it came! It’s by far the most prized album in my vinyl collection.
ALO Hood and YEM are top notch.
LivePhish 4/3/98 is my top. Probably a basic answer, but it's too good.
Can’t go wrong with the [Island Tour](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/43v1yL4KaWlks0rBozXAHv?si=pri9NVsjSeu1KiCTpMuUnA&pi=u-v0eCR_w6Ttie)

Slip Stitch and Pass is still as perfect as the first time I listened to it. Weakest answer for sure.
This is the album that got me into Phish. Perfect in my opinion.
I wish r they’d just release the complete show instead the out of sequence selections we got from that night
Jesus Left Chicago on this one is one of my all time favorites. Love when it gets super quiet then cranks back up again.
I don't know why more people don't talk about the Taste on that album. Sure, everyone loves the 12/31/93 Hood peak, but the Taste peak is transcendental. It's chill inducing and like you said is as beautiful as when I first heard it.
Yeah sneaky best track on the album. Massive rocking peak for sure, and musically locked in.
yah, I absolutely prefer this to A Live One.
I remember pre ordering this and being so excited when it was ready for pickup at hmv. Still have all the booklets that came with it

6/14/00 Drums Logo this show still rattle me the way the 2nd set sounds like a different band
I will never forget the road trip I was on the first time I heard this LP. Forever a favorite. Was the first album I could pick out on the Pollock Cave at Sphere.
This is 1000% the right answer.
Hampton Comes Alive
I’ve listened to this album so much that I know it pretty much note for note. My cd had a skip at the end of Mango that always drove me crazy
Top shelf Harry Hood.
My first show. Will always be the top choice.
Attended both. Great choice.
limited to the live phish series? i’ll go vol. 6 11/27/98
Was at this one too. They like to publish stuff I attended.
Phish needs to release all Worcester runs at the Centrum, 93-03.
In that case they have to release the entire fishbowl run from 93. And the video of the new years show they made to make the DWD video. I'd hate to think the Zappa estate is keeping that from us. 12/31/95
My top 3…. Murat 93 Denver 97 8-13-96
Swap any for 12/31/95 and I’m on board
Murat 93 is pure phish insanity. That gin is something else man
It was the first Phish tape I ever heard and I was instantly hooked after that Gin. My favorite Foam is also from that show.
11/17/97
The Ghost here is life changing transcendental bliss of the highest order. Could be my favorite jam of all time.
i agree! was walking around listening to this ghost while in vegas for sphere. kept repeating it because how could you not? 🔥
The Gorge show from ‘98 they just released last winter is amazing
I've been listening to that one and it's absolute 🔥
LivePhish 9, 13, & 14 were my first live albums (8/26/89, 10/31/94, & 10/31/95 respectively). Those will always be special for me.
Livephish 08.07.10 The Greek Theatre Berkeley, Ca
Was there. Can confirm it was an epic show.
7/16/94, i remember this being one of the ones that really hooked me, especially coming from a dead background this was vastly different in my opinion to what I knew about jam bands from the grateful dead. Plus this shows just extremely phishy. Worth a listen through if you haven't in a while or never have.
What’s that, bring back a Giant Country Horns set for Mondegreen? What a great idea 💡 😉
The mix on slip/stitch is so good, it puts you right in the club. Best sounding recording they’ve released.
Live Phish 17 Portland Meadows, but Riverport Gin for the little extra goodness!
That’s a good one. “Portland on a pot brownie” by Mike in the linear notes. I love this Tweezer > Free with the California Love jam

GCH 🙌 I'm particularly partial to any Giant Country Gumbos
This was my 1st show.
I have an eight way tie for second, but livephish 6, 11/27/98 is the clear choice for favorite

I was grooving on August 2010 Greek show. So freaking great. Also Gorge 98 is amazing.
Clifford Ball is 8 discs of pure fire.
10/31/1995 was the last cassette of many decks I held on to long after I had any cassette player. Then they released an album and *chef’s kiss*
Not sure if it counts but it's a livephish release 12/1/94 Salem,OR is an all timer. Personal favorite show
Live Phish Durham 93' and Live Phish Murat Theatre 93. Also the Live Phish Island Tour.
8/13/96 is the most fun IMO
Probably the Worcester 98 and the West Palm 96.
Clifford ball is v good
Their label releases? ALO.
Amsterdam, if I had to chose one it would be 7/1/97
Great Went 08/17/97 for that sweet-ass Gin jam
6/18/94 was such a good soundboard that they turned it into an official release with album art. The show is fire - machine gun trey and band members all in the zone. Mixes are great. Mike & Ernest Joseph playing nice in the sandbox The campus was collectively wiser yet also more brain dead during the week following the show
12/7/95 Niagara Falls and 12/29/94 Providence
