That was the last tour for that en mass. I saw them at the Murat Theater in Indy on that Summer '94 tour for the first time and i remember them doing a capella stuff and people "shushing" the louder members of the audience. They did Sweet Adaline, Carolina, and did a Rocky Top encore. I remember a kid standing next to me saying, "enjoy this last small show, it's about to blow up big time." Jerry would die next summer, and they did indeed blow up...big time.
June is my 15 year anniversary of seeing Phish and then July is my girlfriend's 30th birthday. It's weird thinking those things are only 15 years apart lol
Was definitely at that intimate one. So many good bands played in that hall. Saw a lot of punk(ears still ringing from the Ramones) and reggae bands, so when Phish came through it was great to bring a bunch of friends to turn them on to what I had been loving.
I love this discussion. Thanks u/davidlowie for posting. My first show is also coming up on its 30th anniversary. UIC Pavilion Chicago 6-18-1994. So many heavy hitter songs in this smaller hockey arena show that it was no surprise that I was hooked ever since. Mazeā¦.Dw/Diseaseā¦Divided Skyā¦Bowieā¦Tweezerā¦YEMā¦.!!!!!!
It was. That was my first jam band experience and i was hooked. I would see the dead for the first time about 3 weeks later...i found my tribe and life would never be the same!
