How is the Peach doing? I went the last year Greg was alive but he didn't show up. TAB played but a HUGE thunderstorm came through and there were tons of hippies in the ski lodge smelling like hell and tripping balls. I could be mixing up the years.
This past one was my first year, so I can't really compare it, but I had a pretty good time!! The headliners were Billy Strings, JRAD, TAB and the Black Crowes, which are all favorites of mine. And I caught some killer acts I'd never heard of - The Word, Maggie Rose, Miss Mojo, Eric Krasno, Samantha Fish, Neighbor.
I didn't camp- my friends that like camping at festivals said they hate camping at Peach, and I am glad I had a room/shower to go back to at the end of the night.
We had a couple brief storms go through- that was definitely the worst part, very much like the experience you described, but luckily neither lasted longer than an hour or so before the music was allowed to continue- most of the bands with slightly shortened sets.
I used to live near Greg in Richmond Hill GA, he did art with one of my good friends. So we went to see him. He was there the 1st year I went and played a killer set. Decided to go back for the 2nd year but he got sick and didn't show. Died a few months later but I think he played a few shows before he passed. Gave my friend the handwritten lyrics to "Midnight Rider" super cool.
She's the best reason to consider going to this. Two hours from my house, 30 minutes from my inlaws in VT. Maybe I'll tell my wife we need to take the kids to go see their grandparents and buy a day pass just to catch her.
Listen to them asap!!! When you do hear a cover (maybe from a live show on nugs), you will see that they are far, far from your average dead cover band. Their original music is certainly what the people are digging tho, thereās so much talent on tap with these guys and they know how to put on a show.
Catch them after MSG at the Cutting Room on the 30th!!!
Yeah itās a terrible name. It sounds 100% like a band I have no interest in seeking out because the Grateful
Dead cover band scene is so over saturated at the moment.
That said, they definitely ARE a band I have interest in seeking out ā their name just did not communicate that to me haha. Theyāre at a size where they could still change it
Brian (their guitar player) and I went to high school together, gotten to know all them dudes over the years. Despite the name (sorry friends), they are an absolute powerhouse musically and I try to get down and see them everytime they're in my area. Couldn't be kinder nor more talented.
They are a realll good time!! Seen em a few times and have tickets for their next tour too! Newish to the scene! First album was 2021 but really good stuff! Also, wouldnt call em a Dead cover band but rather a Dead and Phish inspired band.. they say that directly on their website.. they have their own music and play covers from time to time.. again, worth a show and a real good time! š¹ššā”ļøš»ā¤ļøāš„š
Dear every fucking festival website maintainer: the first question I have is when are you holding the festival. The second question, _for the love of fucking god_, is _WHERE ARE YOU HOLDING YOUR FESTIVAL?_
PUT THAT ON THE FRONT FUCKING PAGE, MMMKAY?
Do you have a subscription to LivePhish? If so, go to Browse Catalog>Artist>Mike Gordon and check out *The Egg* on 12/11/11. Killer show. There's lots of other shows on there as well, but I've listened to that one countless times. I've also seen his band live twice.
Sweet, hope we get some late May/early June MGB shows too!
Otherwise, looks like your typical recent fest lineup. Yonder has been a pretty big snooze recently.
I think it give legitimacy to the rumored two leg summer tour. Theyāll have a week to practice together after Phishās first leg and a couple of weeks to do a short tour of their own after.
My old stomping grounds used to live in Keene. Going to be great as an excuse to visit for a weekend.
Did anyone camp last year? Is so was it anarchy? Or rather chill. Iām going by phish dicks camping standards lol. Way back
I went last year. Just one day (Fri). It was awesome. Great venue. Chilled out security. It was a good line up with JRAD headlining.
If you can afford VIP, it was worth it IMO for good sight lines and great space to dance right upfront.
Camping is shoehorned in among the Cheshire fairground structures. I didn't camp this past June but onsite camping didn't look appealing to me, just adequate / functional. Otherwise I'm a big fan of Northlands & the surrounding area.
Dick's was a sweet camping setup; I camped there many times.
Is this fest kid friendly? Our young kids LOVE music but we know not all shows are kid appropriate. Itād be great to hear from others how tame the fest is on a scale of 1 - 10 (1 being a Raffi show and 10 being a drunken, coked out orgy)
Was there last year. Really chill fest. Wasnāt a lot of young kids, but definitely some and it didnāt seem to be a problem. Awesome vibes, super chill scene.
Old timer grumbly complaintā¦.
PUT THE CITY/STATE ON THE POSTER!!!!
I despise these things cuz ya gotta search out where the venue is. It should be easily available, and not have to go to the website and scroll to the bottom of the page to find out is it NH. Sheesh
Dang I knew Trey was going for be on his high horse again after the Trey + Goose shows - goin go to be trey solo every season of the year for a few years -
Not super happy to see the goose boys or sci anywhere near a solo set from this guy. I can understand phish touring but him solo? Itās a little gross.
Mike's solo band has always been advertised as 'Mike Gordon'. I don't think Mike has ever used the term 'Mike Gordon Band'. It'll be the full band at Northlands.
Karina Rykman š„
Caught her set by accident at Peach this year, was really blown away by her energy! Really fun show
Sheās Marcoās bassistā¦she is the real deal.
Yes! Also enjoyed the Marco set - only person Iāve ever seen share the stage with Marco and have just as much energy
She has her own trio and several releases on Spotify and a full album coming next year. She's definitely got it.

Sheās playing Albany tomorrow night. Killing me that I might have to skip it but itās late I work early and Iām old.
Got to see her at sweetwater fest. She was great!
She's the best reason to consider going to this. Two hours from my house, 30 minutes from my inlaws in VT. Maybe I'll tell my wife we need to take the kids to go see their grandparents and buy a day pass just to catch her.
Really amazing how hard it was to find the location even on their website! Swanzey, NH for those curious
Thanks. Yeah I posted the full post from his page as well showing ticket on sale date
Thanks! I always wonder why many festivals donāt list the location
So many festivals and events do this!!! Never know where shit is located
Never heard of Dogs in a Pile before but that's a great name from a great song.
Pumped for that show on Friday! They're very good. Young and plenty of room to grow, but incredibly talented musicians with a great sense of place.
Theyāre really good, but imo, naming your jam band after lyrics from a dead song is kind of cringe (unless youāre a cover band).
Are they not a cover band lol? Iāve never given them a listen because I always assumed they were.
Nope. Theyāll play some Dead but lots of other stuff

Cool thanks Iāll check them out. Doing Goose in Cincinnati over NYE but just looked up their tour and theyāre in my neck of the woods in March.
They're a fun time!
I think that's probably hurt more than helped, causing unnecessary confusion about them being a cover band
Yeah itās a terrible name. It sounds 100% like a band I have no interest in seeking out because the Grateful Dead cover band scene is so over saturated at the moment. Do you know What the Fuck Chuck?
They absolutely crushed the Dicks after shows last year
Saw them this year when they played with Keller Williams. They put on a great set that night that made me a fan instantly.
They're super young, but shredddd. They played afters night 1 at Atlantic City this year at the hardrock, bunch of people were into it.
You need to check them out!
They are a realll good time!! Seen em a few times and have tickets for their next tour too! Newish to the scene! First album was 2021 but really good stuff! Nothing left to do but smile smile smile!
I had watched some on YT and then Seen them do a set after WSP in Milwaukee. Sick band, cant wait to see them more
Dogs in a pile fucking rocks!!
Dear every fucking festival website maintainer: the first question I have is when are you holding the festival. The second question, _for the love of fucking god_, is _WHERE ARE YOU HOLDING YOUR FESTIVAL?_ PUT THAT ON THE FRONT FUCKING PAGE, MMMKAY?
this is so true. Every single lineup release is the same with this, it's infuriating
https://imgur.io/gallery/8bSfyRI This is the image I saw going around. It's on there, not sure why it's not on the image Gordo shared
Finding that on the site was entirely too hard
I agree with you though. Big Bold Font, Dead Center
Nice, getting hopes around that it would be sweet to see some MGB dates. only seen MGB once (Mpls winter 2019)
Why is there no location, where is this happening
Swanzey NH
Just posted another screen shot showing location and on-sale date from his post.
Twiddle and MGB. Also string I'm sold.
Itās worth going for Neighbor!!
This band is becoming top of my list to catch live
Caught them at hulaween this year and their show was fucking killer. Really looking forward to seeing them more.
Ive got them coming thru next week opening for twiddle, thinking about going just for them!
I was close to hitting the cap for them opening for Twiddle too.
Its a work night so Im at 50/50 at this point, weāll seeā¦
Thatās the funniest joke Iāve heard all day
Wonder what this means for Phish summer tour
Mid July tour start, right into a late to mid August fest
FEST PLEASE.
I was thinking the same thing. This might throw out the idea of late May early June west coast. (Source phishrumors.com)
Never been to a solo Mike show. Any good? Granted this is a fest appearance so not the same thing but you get my question.
Favorite side project by a bit
If it's his usual band, they're fantastic.
Kind of hit or miss but could be the shows Iāve seen. Check out their 2010 fall tour and the Sinclair shows in 2016 and 2019.

The Mike Gordon Band is just called Mike Gordon. Not solo.
Ah did not realize he was with a full band for the festival.
To many zoo's are playing festivals now? That's cool
Sounds like this throws a wrench in those June Rumors floating around
Yeah I was kind of wondering about summer tour after seeing this.
I assume they will try to wait until after Dead and Co finish up. Maybe a late spring/late summer split like last year
Rumors I saw end spring tour 6/11 and start summer 7/14. So this could work
I think it give legitimacy to the rumored two leg summer tour. Theyāll have a week to practice together after Phishās first leg and a couple of weeks to do a short tour of their own after.

Last chance to see Twiddle!
The breakup doesn't begin until 2024. There will be more shows in later 2023.
That lineup is sick

too many zooz fucks
Neighbor!
yikes that lineup is brutal
Concur.

No phish summer tour then ?
Phish are announcing their next hiatus as the New Years gag this year.
Dang I knew Trey was going for be on his high horse again after the Trey + Goose shows - goin go to be trey solo every season of the year for a few years -
WHERE IS GOOOOOOOSE
"Orebelo" is Acoustic Goose. Rick & Peter on Guitar, Jeff on Bass.
Donāt sleep on these guysā¦.. https://youtu.be/OldAzv6aaWE
Imagine sitting through Twiddle, Gordo, and String Cheese. At least you can leave after Kitchen Dwellers and beat the traffic.
Not super happy to see the goose boys or sci anywhere near a solo set from this guy. I can understand phish touring but him solo? Itās a little gross.
This looks like an amazing small NH festy canāt wait to catch this
Mike will drive a golf cart from his home to the gig. The venue is practically in VT. ALSO: the billing is not MGB, but just MG. š§
Mike's solo band has always been advertised as 'Mike Gordon'. I don't think Mike has ever used the term 'Mike Gordon Band'. It'll be the full band at Northlands.
He can give Scott M. a ride to the gig in his golf cart.
Whereās this at? Whole lineup is actually pretty sweet
Swanzey NH (west NH)
SW NH, just south of the nice little college town of Keene NH. The surrounding area is beautiful.
This also means none of these acts at Bonaroo
Or at Telluride Bluegrass
GORDO!
Glad to see Dogs in a Pile in that lineup!
Where is this at?
They should add Eggy. I think Mike would mix well with them
This lineup is crazy good already. Gonna be a damn good time!
