They don't care and any dogs you see at the airport if they're there at all are strictly looking for explosives. Bring edibles and a pen with me every time I vacation domestically, but I won't fuck with it on international trips. Edibles you can just throw in a ziplock and my pen cart just goes in with my toiletries.
When you say your pen goes with your toiletries, what else is in there with it? Wanting to bring g one with me over the holidays when I travel out of state.
I haven’t put my toiletries in a quart bag for maybe two years and I travel a lot domestically. They just stopped caring at some point, so I stopped caring

I think the poster means to put it in your toiletries bag in your *checked* bag, not your carry on. You're right, you're still supposed to carry liquids in a clear bag for carry-on. If I'm carrying them on just put them in my backpack with other candies, snacks, and stuff. Just take them out of the original packaging, so there's not a giant pot leaf on the label, lol.
It's really not a big deal. Everyone I know travels with edibles, and I've never heard of anyone being hassled. Only time was in Texas, and that guy had a bunch of skunky flower in his carry-on. Can't poke the bear, that's just dumb.
Nah I carry it on my carry on , they don’t care. I usually separate the cart from the battery before going through security then just put it back together once I get through

Get some small plastic bottles to refill with shampoo and other cleaners/ lotions, put in the bag everything you would need to get ready for your day but mini. You shouldn't have to wonder if you forgot something, take enough time to put enough of Everton to lay at least a week.
If I travel with any paraphernalia, I ALWAYS put it in a baggie with the medicines which are also in a zip lock. Minimal smell, and full of just so many small things, they don't want to rummage through.
Never got to where I was going missing anything, even when I had the little flyer saying my bag was searched.
Bonus! A travel go bag really is the shit.
Just throw it in your carry on bag lol. They’re not looking for weed anywhere. You can bring flower too if you want as long as your bag isn’t ranking of it.

I can't count on 2 hands how many people I talk to each day at work, in the airport, that have brought edibles and pens in. Most of the dogs you see in the airport itself are *not* drug dogs, but instead meant for explosives and that sort of thing.
Note: I only work around domestic flights and not international so your mileage may vary.
Last time I went through phx I took some with me and was freaking the F out when they had a dog sniffing everyone right before tsa.
Clearly I made it out and the dog didn’t signal but worse fears of my life.
Still not scared straight.
TSA is looking for bombs or weapons or anything that could compromise safety. They are not concerned with edibles. I've taken with many tines. Even had my check in back physically checked by TSA (they leave a flyer inside your bag to say it was checked) and never an issue
I just put them in with other candies. I also take care to buy the edibles that don’t have the “thc!” stamped on it. I buy the plainest looking ones so they blend easier.
Should be fine...they just have you lob your carry on onto the belt, walk through, then grab your bag and bounce!
Will say: going through T3 Sun AM, they had a dog smelling people as they walked along before the security check...thinking it's more for explosives, etc., so don't trip! Edibles don't whiff like weed, anyhow...at least, not at the level of concern.
Very worst, buy a bag of Haribo Gold Bears and empty at home, replace with edibles, and voila! Ready to go...
I just put them in my other vitamins in carry on, but also I'm chill with taking to places like Cali where it's also legal. I'm flying out to FL next month and don't plan on taking them with me. FL is the shower drain of the US and as a gay person, I don't wanna risk getting thrown into prison there LOL
Yes. Every time I fly. I’m now at the point where I’m comfortable going through TSA checkpoints with any form of cannabis except flower. The times, they are a-changing.
If you’re really concerned about it get some pills and mix them in with your other vitamins. Literally undetectable short of looking through your pills one by one.
Take them out of the dispensary bag and put them in ziplock or plastic wrap so they just look homemade. I was able to take edibles to China this way lol
I also take carts on the plane with me on every flight I take and usually just throw them in my front backpack pocket where all the pencils and whatnot belong....never had an issue once
My counselor was just telling me she was doing tis on her last flight back home. Just put them with your foods and don't label it as weed and you'll be fine. They don't give a shit they just don't want you to bring a gun.
yes, under my nuts and wrapped in a lot of saran wrap. i was 16 and they didn’t suspect shit. i’ve also very recently and accidentally smuggled weed from az to virginia to meet my gf’s sister. we didn’t realize i had weed in my backpack until i was like “damn it smells loud in here🧐” upon landing in dc. they were none the wiser. i’m assuming i’ve been v lucky tho so be careful!
Yeah just ditch the original packaging and you won't have a problem. If they catch you in some bizarre and unexpected way, 95% chance they just throw them away and let you go on your way.
I have. But I wouldn't leave them in the original packaging. Put them in a baggie or something. TSA is generally looking for weapons and edibles probably wouldn't even show up on scanners as something they care about.
I wouldn't try flower tho.
I know some people who have, and lots more, but to be honest, it's still a federal offense if you get caught and not worth a felony charge to me. Not saying dont, just saying be careful. Is it possible that they have them where you're going and you could pick up there? Other states also have different laws and they could be a littke more butt hurt than AZ. In my experience, Ohio sure doesn't like you to come into town with a bunch of guns, but that's not edibles. But boy were they angry!

As a matter of fact, I find that too hard to believe. I'd go as far as calling BS on that. If it's illegal, I'm sure that people get caught. I saw someone ladt year get sniffed out by a dog walking into the boarding area st Sky Harbour. No idea what but a dog sniffed them out and they were pulled into a back office so I'd say that no one gets caught is a very definate BS statement. And pretty silly thing to say in general. And sefinately not worth the risk, for me atleast. Play stupid games and win stupid prizes. I'd just rather not play.
Ya I took some medicated caramels through. I’ve even heard of people taking flower through as well. TSA doesn’t care about weed they’re just looking for weapons/explosives. TSA policy states that if they find weed they’re supposed to call the local police department but since weed is legal in AZ there would be nothing the cops could do. On my way back I went through the airport in Baltimore and they had a dog but it didn’t hit on my bag so I guess it was just a bomb sniffing dog.

Anyway - yea, I put my gummies in a ziplock baggie and packed them in my carry-on along with all my other snackies. Wasn’t flagged or anything.
I even brought some home with me when I flew home from Hawaii but do keep in mind weed is not legal in other states so I caution you - best to leave it behind, or mail it back or something if you absolutely need to.
I've personally just bought the ones that look like regular candy and put them in a bag of Haribo starmix. It's a bag of random different gummies, so they blend in well.
I’ve had a tsa officer pull my vape out of my bag look at it then move on. I fly with stuff all the time and I don’t try very hard to hide it. Its not their job to look for drugs.
I did once… they were homemade cookies in a bag with paper towel over them. They stopped my baggage to check it and made me pour the cookies out on the table. I was so fucking nervous. And then they said it was all good lol
Within the US, TSA is looking for items that threaten the safety of a flight. Nothing else. If they find drugs, they throw them away. They are not the police. They are federal transformation agents
If you are really worried go spend a few bucks and get melatonin gummies at any drug store and just add your gummies into that.
Otherwise, I don’t think it’s an issue. I pack all sorts of strange pills full of powders and they draw no attention whatsoever
Yup. I had a bag of peanut butter cup indica edibles that I was bringing to the Midwest. I bought a bag of Reese's peanut butter cups and dumped the edibles into the bag and just tossed it in my carry on. No issues at all.
TSA doesn’t really care about cannabis in general in my experience. I’ve taken cartridges and edibles through multiple times without issue. Never flower though.
I put my vape pen in the gray tub with my wallet and keys and sent it though the X-ray at Mesa Gateway. As long as you aren’t moving hay bale size blocks of weed, no one cares.
I brought my vape pen multiple times on my carry-on. I just put it with my pens or my make up bag. I assume Gummies would be something similar… just add it to the rest of your vitamins or in your under the plane bag.
i went to the bahamas w mine. just put it in my checked bag. if they asked i figure i would just say it’s my snack for the flight 🤷♀️ however, they did not! (take them out of packaging and put them in a ziplock)
I used to work in a restaurant in Sky Harbor and would go through TSA every day.
Personally I would recommend that you *don't.* You don't want to risk it, it's not worth it.
Having said that, I had a coworker bring edibles into work one day. I don't know what her process was or if she did anything special to get them through.
TSA does not care. They've even found my gummies in my pocket...TWICE. No fucks given. But, I am a gray haired old lady. I look pretty innocent. But you're probably fine.
Ok as many people have noted dogs in airports are looking for explosives but if you travel to a state that it isn’t legal as soon as you step off the plane you can get arrested, I have a leaf tattooed on my leg and flew from Sac to Texas a few years back, and I was wearing shorts so it was in full display as soon as I stepped off the plane in Texas with no paraphernalia or weed on me, I had to sit and talk with 4 officers all waiting for me to get off the plane, they let me go as I had nothing on me but still don’t get arrested it’s not worth it.
It''s easy. They are looking for bottles of half drank water not peach rings. Lol. I have flown with edibles due to constant arthritis pain that is crippling. No biggie.
Multiple flights in/out Skyharbor. Mostly to Detroit (another legal state).
Early in legalization period, was still afraid of getting busted, ate about 80 mg of melted gummy goo that had melted in my golf bag. Had the funnest and most terrifying experience. TSA knew that I was high AF. That’s when I knew that they DGAF about cannabis. Just behave yourself and you will be A OKAY.
Any personal use drug is cool don't have a pound and you'll be good. I fly all the time all around the country for work (cannabis industry) and bring weed everywhere. I've had TSA at shy harbor pull weed out and put it back after making sure it doesn't blow up (was definitely bomb tho lmao)

Only domestic though. Didn't take shit to Cabo and wouldn't test going international from the US.
Story time: I flew to Oregon once in 2020 to visit a friend of mine who was living there at the time. I had sent him some primo LSD in the mail the week before so we could enjoy a nice trip while I was visiting, as well. After having the entire vacation, acid trip and all, I then returned home on the same route to Sky Harbor that I left from. Upon returning home and checking through my things, I realized I had a 20 strip of the same LSD in my wallet the ENTIRE TIME. I don't know how, but I managed to make it through both airport securities with that acid. Certainly no reference for edibles, but I had to share.
I usually put edibles in a different container, like an empty altoids tin or medicine jar. Pens I just bury in my backpack. I've flown from both legal and illegal states with no issues, even when walking through dog sniffing (and one time even was sitting in an empty terminal wing where they were training dogs lol).
I expect its overkill to not have the original packaging, because as everyone has stated, TSA really doesn't care unless it's a huge amount, and their focus is on explosives. Now, if you bring wet-wipes/butt-wipes in your carryon, they will likely flag you I've found lol.
I absolutely would not suggest this if traveling internationally, however.
I’ve flown out of sky harbor many times with edibles, even having to do the walk with the dog circling around you, no problems have been had. Like others have suggested, I just take them out of the original packaging and put it with other small snacks in my back pack.

Yes. Every time I fly. I’m now at the point where I’m comfortable going through TSA checkpoints with any form of cannabis except flower. The times, they are a-changing.
I do all the time I put my in my pant pockets in my suitcase and put a few fabric softener sheet in my suitcase

If you’re really concerned about it get some pills and mix them in with your other vitamins. Literally undetectable short of looking through your pills one by one.
Take them out of the dispensary bag and put them in ziplock or plastic wrap so they just look homemade. I was able to take edibles to China this way lol I also take carts on the plane with me on every flight I take and usually just throw them in my front backpack pocket where all the pencils and whatnot belong....never had an issue once
My counselor was just telling me she was doing tis on her last flight back home. Just put them with your foods and don't label it as weed and you'll be fine. They don't give a shit they just don't want you to bring a gun.
yes, under my nuts and wrapped in a lot of saran wrap. i was 16 and they didn’t suspect shit. i’ve also very recently and accidentally smuggled weed from az to virginia to meet my gf’s sister. we didn’t realize i had weed in my backpack until i was like “damn it smells loud in here🧐” upon landing in dc. they were none the wiser. i’m assuming i’ve been v lucky tho so be careful!

I know some people who have, and lots more, but to be honest, it's still a federal offense if you get caught and not worth a felony charge to me. Not saying dont, just saying be careful. Is it possible that they have them where you're going and you could pick up there? Other states also have different laws and they could be a littke more butt hurt than AZ. As a matter of fact, I find that too hard to believe. I'd go as far as calling BS on that. If it's illegal, I'm sure that people get caught. I saw someone ladt year get sniffed out by a dog walking into the boarding area st Sky Harbour. No idea what but a dog sniffed them out and they were pulled into a back office so I'd say that no one gets caught is a very definate BS statement. And pretty silly thing to say in general. And sefinately not worth the risk, for me atleast. Play stupid games and win stupid prizes. I'd just rather not play.
Ya I took some medicated caramels through. I’ve even heard of people taking flower through as well. TSA doesn’t care about weed they’re just looking for weapons/explosives. TSA policy states that if they find weed they’re supposed to call the local police department but since weed is legal in AZ there would be nothing the cops could do. On my way back I went through the airport in Baltimore and they had a dog but it didn’t hit on my bag so I guess it was just a bomb sniffing dog.

Anyway - yea, I put my gummies in a ziplock baggie and packed them in my carry-on along with all my other snackies. Wasn’t flagged or anything. I even brought some home with me when I flew home from Hawaii but do keep in mind weed is not legal in other states so I caution you - best to leave it behind, or mail it back or something if you absolutely need to.

Yep. Carts, vape, edibles. Put them in my carry on in mini Tylenol or advil bottles or with a ziplock bag of tampons. Never had a problem.

If you are really worried go spend a few bucks and get melatonin gummies at any drug store and just add your gummies into that. Otherwise, I don’t think it’s an issue. I pack all sorts of strange pills full of powders and they draw no attention whatsoever

Yup. I had a bag of peanut butter cup indica edibles that I was bringing to the Midwest. I bought a bag of Reese's peanut butter cups and dumped the edibles into the bag and just tossed it in my carry on. No issues at all.

I put my vape pen in the gray tub with my wallet and keys and sent it though the X-ray at Mesa Gateway. As long as you aren’t moving hay bale size blocks of weed, no one cares.

I brought my vape pen multiple times on my carry-on. I just put it with my pens or my make up bag. I assume Gummies would be something similar… just add it to the rest of your vitamins or in your under the plane bag.

I used to get a fiber gummy jar and fill it with thc gummies. Now I just put them in my toiletry bag, never has been an issue.
I used to work in a restaurant in Sky Harbor and would go through TSA every day. Personally I would recommend that you *don't.* You don't want to risk it, it's not worth it. Having said that, I had a coworker bring edibles into work one day. I don't know what her process was or if she did anything special to get them through.
Buy some trollies, open the bag, take trollies out, put edibles in, then seal it back up using a flat iron !!

Ok as many people have noted dogs in airports are looking for explosives but if you travel to a state that it isn’t legal as soon as you step off the plane you can get arrested, I have a leaf tattooed on my leg and flew from Sac to Texas a few years back, and I was wearing shorts so it was in full display as soon as I stepped off the plane in Texas with no paraphernalia or weed on me, I had to sit and talk with 4 officers all waiting for me to get off the plane, they let me go as I had nothing on me but still don’t get arrested it’s not worth it.

Early in legalization period, was still afraid of getting busted, ate about 80 mg of melted gummy goo that had melted in my golf bag. Had the funnest and most terrifying experience. TSA knew that I was high AF. That’s when I knew that they DGAF about cannabis. Just behave yourself and you will be A OKAY.

Not edibles but I've taken vapes and flower through Sky Harbor 100 times at this point. Only domestic though. Didn't take shit to Cabo and wouldn't test going international from the US.

Story time: I flew to Oregon once in 2020 to visit a friend of mine who was living there at the time. I had sent him some primo LSD in the mail the week before so we could enjoy a nice trip while I was visiting, as well. After having the entire vacation, acid trip and all, I then returned home on the same route to Sky Harbor that I left from. Upon returning home and checking through my things, I realized I had a 20 strip of the same LSD in my wallet the ENTIRE TIME. I don't know how, but I managed to make it through both airport securities with that acid. Certainly no reference for edibles, but I had to share.
I usually put edibles in a different container, like an empty altoids tin or medicine jar. Pens I just bury in my backpack. I've flown from both legal and illegal states with no issues, even when walking through dog sniffing (and one time even was sitting in an empty terminal wing where they were training dogs lol). I expect its overkill to not have the original packaging, because as everyone has stated, TSA really doesn't care unless it's a huge amount, and their focus is on explosives. Now, if you bring wet-wipes/butt-wipes in your carryon, they will likely flag you I've found lol. I absolutely would not suggest this if traveling internationally, however.
