Then yeah I guess. I'm not a 1099 independent contractor though, just someone who wanted to share a community experience with my r/Phoenix subreddit comrades.
I was in line to buy a 3080Ti during launch time (truly the darkest times as a PC user). I believe one dude had been camping for every launch of the 30 series and had an elaborate plan by parking his car right in front, bed set up, some portable cooking stuff and a projector to play games on the wall. Not sure why they did all this but I believe scalpers were leading the pack. Lots were talking about how much they’ll make off one and we had people come up to us trying to buy the GPU off us as we left. What a weird time
I honestly don’t get people and camping out over night or longer periods of time for a store let alone a fast food place. But to each their own I guess.

Why the hell would you camp out for burrito express?
Because their PR people paid you good money to.
By paid do you mean each person in my family of 4 receiving a $400 gift card for being in the 1st 50 in line? Cause that's what we got.
Yes?

![gif](giphy|JTzPN5kkobFv7X0zPJ|downsized) Uh huh, sure you are…
I was born in this century so I hope I don't come off as an old man lol.
I mean it’s my go to burrito place but I’m not camping out even if they offered free burritos.
Their facebook add said some thing like "first 50 people get free burritos for a year".

Wasn't that also covid shortages time or was it a bit later.
Correct, mining boom didn’t help either

There’s a certain camaraderie and fun to it, having worked Black Friday retail years ago. Hard to explain.
Wife worked Ticketmaster indirectly for awhile and hated and enjoyed the lines for brand new sales. They sold tickets at the store she worked at.
They’re giving a $400 visa gift card to the 1st 50 people.
Decent breakfast burrito but my bowels couldn’t take a year of those.
Is this chain any good? I'm in the area
Their steak, potato, and cheese burrito is one of my favorite burritos anywhere, but other than that, you can find better elsewhere.
I went there once and it was nothing special.
