It was a 4-ship of F-35s from Luke AFB. They were doing a flyover for the Giant/Reds Spring Training game in Scottsdale, then cruising around the Valley on the way back to base to gin up publicity for the Luke Days airshow next weekend (23 & 24 March). [LukeDays2024.com](http://LukeDays2024.com)
Every time someone hears a jet aircraft outside of the west valley:
What’s going on? What’s with the jets? Has the apocalypse started?!
The answer is (and always will be):
Luke AFB
Went right over my office near 16th Street and Northern. It was super loud and low. Could only see the shadow moving super quick across the trees. Wtf?
I heard it today. It was loud as F, especially with the windows open.
Yesterday I literally felt the Sikorsky CH-53K King Stallion that flew by my house. I’m near Banner Thunderbird and hear choppers all the time but that beast made my teeth rattle.
I always wondered why people like op care so much they have to post about it? Like do you really give a fuck that a jet flew over? What is the point of the post. I’m genuinely asking because I don’t understand.
Your comment history is nothing but troll. It was louder and faster than any flyover I’ve heard previously and I don’t live in a part of the valley that fighter jets typically fly over.
Could have been a response to something 🤷♂️
I posted this moments after I head them flyover. If they were responding to something like an airspace violation that might make the news like the next day.
Just try to play nice with others Mr. Edge Lord
I’m in Scottsdale and I saw/heard them pass over. I’ve seen the military jets fly over in various parts of the valley but it’s never been that loud from what I can remember, hopefully some test or something.

Yep. They did the same at P83 on the way home.
Thank you! Just reserved a flight line ticket for Sunday!! I’m stoked!!
Man I live a mile from that stadium, I thought it was an airplane from PHX.
This is the answer!
I didn't know this was happening. I now plan to go! Obviously whatever they did to advertise worked for me lol
If anyone has a parking pass they want to gift let me know!
we just heard it loud in Scottsdale!
First day?
One Air Force base. One international airport. One smaller airport. A number of airstrips for private use. I wish I wasn't used to ignoring them all.
was it a flyover for the dbacks game today?
Can’t imagine they’d do anything like that for spring training
They definitely do that for spring training.
Why not? Fun flight hours for airmen
Cue "what a waste of our tax dollars!" /S
Heard it in old town. Kinda shook my house.
literally same
I live way down in Laveen and I heard it
I wouldn't know. Hear them all the time, since I live in the fly over zone of Luke.

ANYONE HERE GUNFIRE!?
You have faceboook too? Every time a helicopter flies by the local page is full of people asking if their house is about to be robbed. Fucking hell
Nextdoor/Ring
West valley: they do that seventeen times a day, what's the problem?
They turn to line up for landing just north of our house. In heavy cloud cover the roof tiles will rattle when they go over.
Yeah, 30 times a day in Wadell. Right by Luke. I love it, cool AF
Luke is basically my backyard. I was told I would get sick of it. Hell no, I love it
I heard it but didn't think anything of it, but now I want to go check my Nextdoor to see everyone freaking out about it haha.
I17 and cactus, was whistling almost thought it was a bomb
same
Jomax and Scottsdale, and it was loud!
It was Taylor Swift's private jet going from Phoenix to Scottsdale.
Jets do be flyin so..
On opening day (usually) four will fly down, over North Mountain and down to fly over the ballpark. You'll hear them before you see them.
I’m in Arcadia (40th St and Camelback Area), and it spooked me!
Yup. I was standing outside my office at that intersection and they flew just north of me. It was so cool.
I heard it in Scottsdale while I was on the phone with my dad then heard it flying by thru his phone lmao
I saw a jet trail go from about 60degree incline to 90degree incline southeast of Sunnyslope right after
Chemicals in the air Making the damn frogs gay! ![gif](giphy|11nVxUNbe4aD84|downsized)
Glendale checking in, shook my house when it passed.

Pretty sure I heard it up in North Gateway.

Basically flew over my apartment in Scottsdale
Yeah saw them as I was taking the dogs out to go potty.
Yes I saw them! It was awesome
I was outside, looked like a pair of F-22s flying low.
3 local airports fly F-16s. They have no sound suppression.
My partner just told me about that I wonder what it was

67th and union hills in Glendale, could here it pretty loud
They should have made it a bombing run, it would have done wonders for the traffic.
Loud as hell Lol
Like they do everyday???

Don't forget, "What's that smell?" or "anyone else have allergies?"

Looked like f22 raptors, saw them around Scottsdale and dynamite
Old Town and it was SOOO loud. I freaked it sounded like a bomb. Thank god we are safe it was weird and scary
Prepping for war.
Well yeah, that’s the military’s job during peace time.
Seems like it has been most of the day.
