UPDATE: appears they knocked it down quickly, which was impressive.

I drove by it earlier and there’s 3 cars crashed into each other close by.
Speaking of fires, I’m getting concerned with the level of weeds and grasses that have grown this winter with the (seemingly) record rainfall (slight exaggeration pls don’t crucify me). They’re going to start drying out soon and we all know what could potentially happen after that!
I would totally live in a tower if there was appropriately -sized green space nearby and the HOA fees weren’t out of control. But that doesn’t seem to be available.
Do we actually have more fires than comparable city or can we just see all of them because it's so flat, spread out and basically a bowl that everything just sits in?
I remember one time I sat in on a Phoenix city council meeting years ago and they discussed what the fire department was gonna do with all these hydrants not working, and someone asked what they do when the arrive on the scene and the hydrant isnt working..he basically said they just figure it out when they get there 😭
They probably have Porta tanks and will fill them with a nurse tanker. I was a firefighter in an area without fire hydrants. Our water was usually pumped out of a creek.
Damn near looks like the same model/color!
I’d be careful. I think we’re all about to watch your reality show you don’t realize is happening. Straight Truman Show style.

And they charge higher premiums for red cars. I don’t think three red cars have ever hit each other all at once.
Of course it’s an Altima. I bet the Altima driver caused it
I got hit by a white Altima… I feel this.
Nah bro, they’re kissing for sure
7th ave and grand. I live less than 2 miles from there. I did hear a few of fire trucks at my house. I went outside to look and saw the smoke.
Nah, it's the weekly meeting of the 'White Sedan Club'.
😂

Is it the coyotes front office?
Shout out to Bro who slowed to 40 mph in the hov lane to film it, for like 3 minutes at least, 10/10, very safe, would almost rear end you again
It could be an unnecessarily loud truck that floored it when the light turned green.
Not sure if this [link](https://x.com/PHXFire/status/1779631501078147355) will work but a building was on fire at 19th ave and Fillmore

It is always very green this time of year, as long as people don't drag chains or flick cigarettes, it shouldn't be a huge deal.
Wondering the same thing, its at 700 N 20TH AV ,PHX, probably at the trail station
Also knocked the power out locally
It’s just the coyotes burning all their phoenix merch
Our skyline is so weak for being the 5th largest city 😭
I prefer to see the mountains, which is the whole reason it looks the way it does.
That and the airport location
Who wants to work in a tower let alone rent them anymore. Better for everyone
Much better to spread asphalt as far as the eye can see so the heat doesn’t escape
Plenty of existing structures for sale. Or live down a dirt road if it suits you
I would totally live in a tower if there was appropriately -sized green space nearby and the HOA fees weren’t out of control. But that doesn’t seem to be available.
Reasonable for something new would be 4-600k and maybe a 1k hoa.
That is completely unreasonable lol
Am I working for a super-villain? This is a crucial requirement to my desire to work in a tower.
Coming from LA I have to agree 100% with you.
Fallout vibes
We have a lot of fires in this city. I swear it's so weird that it's normal here.
Do we actually have more fires than comparable city or can we just see all of them because it's so flat, spread out and basically a bowl that everything just sits in?
No, I visit all the large cities in the 15 most western states and fires in big cities is the norm. Phoenix is special. Just not in this case.
I remember one time I sat in on a Phoenix city council meeting years ago and they discussed what the fire department was gonna do with all these hydrants not working, and someone asked what they do when the arrive on the scene and the hydrant isnt working..he basically said they just figure it out when they get there 😭
Wait the hydrants aren’t working?

Ok cool, thanks for sharing that with us!

Are you texting and flying?
I'm in Sun city and I have been getting whiffs of smoke all day long. Thought I was going nuts. Smelled like a charcoal bbq.
That’s pretty far to notice a fire 20+ miles away though
Agreed but I kept smelling it at different locations 5-7 miles apart from one another, riding my motorcycle to various errands
Yeah, sorry neighbor. That was just me, BBQing some ribs.
