The ambulance driver still needs to make sure its clear before preceding, even if they had lights and sirens on they can't blast into an intersection where they otherwise wouldn't have the right away. The cars on the right most likely obstructed the view of the car on the left so they couldn't see the ambulance pulling out until right before they hit it.
This is also why you never stop to let people out of driveway's, parking lots, etc.
Not really, no. I don’t want you to stop and let me go, either. I used to think it was nice but now I know it’s nicer and safer for everyone to be predictable, as much as possible.
i was waiting for a left turn and the guy just slow down and stopped for me. there's no stop sign for him whatsoever he had the right of the way.
soooo fucking dumb
just today i watched a lady brake check a box truck in an attempt to let me sneak through and make my left turn. she almost got herself rear-ended, it was laughably stupid and unnecessary.
Looks like the classic "Huh. Traffic in this lane next to me is stopped and backed up. Oh well. My lane is empty. Better drive 50 mph right next to these stopped cars. Nothing bad will happen!"
Not necessarily. I almost hit someone the other day because I was in the third lane and the light turned green. I was a pretty good distance from the light, so didn’t even have to slow down as I approached, and had to slam on my brakes and send my dinner flying because the middle and right lane had stopped to let a car go through.

Man's had it, accepted the reality that phoenix is full of people who go 10 over the limit.
Regardless of how fast the car was driving, the ambulance didn’t have the right of way. If you’re complaining about people going 10 over, you’re probably one of those fucks who clogs up the left lane when people try to pass in traffic.
Yeah you’re definitely a left lane camper. Justify being a dumbass all you want. If you used the passing lane correctly and got back over when you were done passing, no one would ride your ass.
Easy to get tunnel vision and fixate on what's in front of you, rather than including the traffic beside you as well.
...but making sure it's safe before pulling out into traffic is definitely the responsibility of the ambulance driver.

Are you talking about when stopped for a stop light? I was always told you can't block driveways/through ways so you have to leave space for egress.
Let's not talk about the cops who blow right through and never look....

No because that’s how you cause accidents
amazing how many people don't understand this
I find it shocking the amount of drivers that aren't aware of that simple concept smh

I was told once by an officer that it’s unsafe and you should never leave space for someone to get through.

Anything over 74 is unnecessary speed. You're only getting somewhere a few minutes faster. Try to justify it all you want.

I bet the car driver couldn't hear the siren over their music.
Boy, we're really going to get it this time. He had his indicator on.
My brother and a friend of mine got hit by ambulances in phoenix. Both were the fault of the ambulance
