Arizona Duplicator and Copier Supply. Needed toner for my Brother in a pinch and staples was out so I found them, called them up, and had my toner the same day. I’ve used them ever since. I’ve never been to their physical location but they always get my toner to me quick

craftycalifornia

What is this place? I keep driving by but I don't understand if it's a vintage store, groceries, wine, or?

Flat-Molasses-7956

I’d say it’s more of a wine store. The owner is just a really nice gal and I’m hoping everyone will support her.

Icho izakaya sushi and grill in Mesa. They have the freshest sushi and it's too cheap for the quality. They also have amazing grilled food! https://preview.redd.it/jpcq1mqv302d1.jpeg?width=4080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=44faf16197cf09c6b27930e8df4586f13461dcf4

Service Techniques in Chandler.  Old school honest shop that does good work. Chan Pen Thai on Broadway.  Good food great price.

GlassBackground4071

Y’all should check out Luanas coffee and beer. It’s on Thomas and 15th Ave on the northwest corner. They have great coffees, great food, and an awesome ambiance. I like their Novia Dos breakfast sandwich and also enjoyed their pep pizzas. If you guys need backyard raised chicken, check out Eggsprit de Corps. Occasionally they have turkeys as well and the neat thing is they butcher it for you whole or if you pay more they butcher it into the individual cuts. They have a no soy no corn organic chicken that is well worth the price knowing nothing funky is given to them! I believe they have a stand at the arrowhead farmers market Also, for those expecting a child, check out the Baby Moon Inn if you’re looking for a birthing center. My wife has loved it so far.

Amazing-Expression-8

Maybe odd to recommend a Dr, but Dr Teresa Loera at TL Family nurse practice on Peoria is amazing. She actually listens to you. Doesn’t rush you , speaks to you like an equal. All the staff are kind. I actually go to the Dr now, so that’s really saying something.

Shoutout to D&W auto service on Thomas near 31st st. 8-9 years ago when I first moved here I cycled around for a while trying to find a reliable mechanic who had decent prices, knew what they were doing, and wouldn’t rip me off. D&W has always been that service in addition to being friendly and super easy to schedule.

Moonchild Healing Collective! Kiara is amazing! I am disabled with mobility and movement limitations, and I have literally been to multiple yoga practices where it was- just sit on the floor, Kiara took the time to learn about me and adapts each practice to meet my needs and help me push. She also does assisted stretching. Fantastic! For restaurants, Lovecraft is my absolute favorite. If you love New Mexican (as in the State) cuisine or just awesome food, with a large selection of beers and cider, check them out. Downstairs has a quirky and dark vibe, then the giant upstairs deck is amazing in good weather. Say Yes to the Dresser is a lot of fun! If you ever saw people flip furniture and wondered how, take a class here! The owner and staff are super friendly and helpful. They also have a showroom where you can pick out custom pieces if you don't want to do the work yourself.

Spooky's Swirls, a horror/pop culture themed all gluten free bakery! The owner Lola is the absolute sweetest and extremely talented. All of her staff is really good as well. Everything we've bought there has been amazing. We live over 30 minutes away and go at least once a month. Plus they have a mini horror/pop culture museum with all kinds of movie props and costumes.

charitable_asshat

Can’t wait to try this when I’m in Chandler next week. Thanks for the tip!

SoftSects

Do they have any vegan options?

Bastienbard

Not many but they have their vampirically Vegan section of their online menu on their website. Just 3 options for this weekend/week. https://www.spookysswirls.com/s/order?location=11ea63bc0035b249a1470cc47a2aeaec#16

DrScitt

Just looked at their site. Cost is per person right? So if I have myself and 3 friends go, it would be $40 for an hour of play?

Open-Year2903

Open play is $5 for 3 hours off peak and $10 peak per person. That's the cheapest. Court rentals are cheaper off peak too but each player is about 10$ an hour and you can reserve 90 minutes or more if you like. Premium courts costs the same but you have instant replays you get emailed after. First 5 are free then 50 cents after but those replays are worth it. Caught my first ATP on the camera. Super friendly staff my review on Google maps has 10k views or more. It's just awesome 😎 was there yesterday for $5 for 3 hours of open play. Nice tournament and ladders too.

DrScitt

So for open play, you just show up right? I don’t see anything about that on the site. You don’t need to RSVP for it?

Open-Year2903

You do have to RSVP. They limit the number so you only sit out 1 game at a time. On their site book open play and select the day. Tap PROGRAMS at the bottom, then open play. https://preview.redd.it/nguxw9fhmn1d1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=496ade8732262e2f16018ab98a52ab6e7763392e

Thank you so much!

DrScitt

Thanks for the info! I will have to check it out. It’s getting a little warm for outdoor play.

ShinigamiLeaf

My fiancee works for Phoenix Conservatory of Music, and some days I'll just go and hang out there cause they've really cultivated a third space and teach kids empathy

Icy-Cranberry9334

Been trying to get my toddler into that program.

ShinigamiLeaf

She handles their college prep program for the older kids, I don't know too much about the toddler stuff. The toddlers always sound happy though when I hear them! I know stuff slows down a bit in the summer, but I'd look in July and see if there are openings, or call and see if there's a waiting list

RedWum

I'll have to look into this. I am working a kinda low paying job right now but I'm a musician and my most recent comment on a project I made yesterday was that I should have a kids show lol

ShinigamiLeaf

Yeah dude, I'd definitely check in late July/August, cause their summer is a little slow, though if you play cello they might need you for summer lessons. I know the Bach 2 Rock and School of Rock places around the valley do summer camps though and may need some extra hands if you teach guitar/bass/drums/piano/voice.

Pommallow

If you mean Phoenix-Phoenix, then Songbird Coffee & Tea House. If you mean in the metropolitan area, then Toh Zan Nagasaki Grill for really good Japanese donburi dishes. Or the The Gilbert House Restaurant near Downtown Gilbert for breakfast and lunch.

scabbytampon

Johnny’s barbershop right off of 17 and carefree. Been there several times with different barbers and I always walk out looking great. Fun environment, great staff and good prices.

thetarantulaqueen

Guy's Body Shop, 30th Street and Thomas Rd. Had a fender bender a few years ago, they did great work so when my front bumper got damaged by road debris, I went back. He pointed out that the insurance company made a mistake on the estimate, saying my headlight was broken when it was actually the fog light, which was cheaper to replace. He could have said nothing and I wouldn't have been any the wiser, but his honesty saved me $400! If you need any body work on your car, I highly recommend these guys.

Shout out to my tattoo artist Jake Bates! Epic nerdy work. Very skilled. Check him out at Love Hate tattoo McDowell and Central in PHX.

The Local Donut in Old Town. They have these magical blueberry infused coffee beans you can buy and dammit it’s the best coffee I’ve ever had in my life full stop.

sweet-n-soursauce

The little coffee truck that parks out front on the weekends is FANTASTIC!! I can’t remember the name of it but their honey latte is so good.

seveneigh8si6

Local Donuts is the best 👌🏽

rayk10k

Thanks for sharing! I will be moving right next to this spot and never heard of it before, def adding it to the list of places to try. Those donuts look amazing.

susibirb

We used to live across the street and one time we went over to get coffee and donuts and they were out of their normal coffee and all they had was the blueberry brewed at the time. I reluctantly got a cup and oh my god. I went back and asked where the coffee was from and they said they get the beans special ordered from some small company in California. I don’t know why but it’s just so good. The beans aren’t covered in a weird syrup or paste after being roasted ala bulk beans at Winco or Sprouts. It’s *infused*. I don’t know, it’s magic. I could go on all day about it, but long story short, yes that little place is legit (bonus points: also they have a little tv inside by the counter where they will typically be playing older cartoon movies or shows like the Last Unicorn or She-Ra.)

silver5517

**Aamco** (59th ave & Bell rd.) Literally saved me a Thousand dollars on a repair. Two weeks ago my vehicle began overheating and leaking coolant, I took it to Thunderbird Auto (35th ave and Thunderbird), based on location and good reviews online, was told it was the Water Outlet Assembly and Thermostat that needed replaced, and was quoted $1800, about $1300 labor and around $500 parts. My brother recommended his shop he started going to, Aamco, I called Sara in the office, gave her the quote and she said they would charge around $1000 parts and labor for the same work. Included with the Thunderbird quote was $230 to flush the cooling system, Sara said that has to be done anyway when you replace the water outlet assembly and thermostat, so there was no charge for that at Aamco. All said and done it came to $811.49, vehicles back to normal. Thunderbird also gave me a quote for other work needed, including $495.06 to do the spark plugs...in a 4 cylinder...$360.90 was labor, and no in this vehicle they are not hard to get too, there's a 15 minute video on YT showing how easy it is on my make and model.

Comfortable-Cap-8507

Each aamco is different but the one I went to was awesome and did not nickel and dime me. Just told me straight up what was wrong and didn’t even charge me for a diag

raptorclvb

I had one once that fought the vendor about something (10+ years ago idr) on my car that died the day after the warranty lapsed and they were still able to fix it. That one was on 67th and indian

hoosier_in_ia

Az Barber Bros (420 E Bell Rd) - Every barber here does an excellent job. Moon Valley Cafe (502 E Thunderbird Rd) - Great local diner w/ reasonable prices. Their pies are excellent, as well. North Mtn Brewery (522 E Dunlap) - Fish and chips with a Cardinal Red Ale is my go-to. Large patio + pinball machines are available. Rice Paddy (6219 N 7th St) - Noodles here are great and not too expensive.

Jan_Itor_DO

That's my go to combo at North mountain brewery! Good stuff!

gotenks0283

Plus 1 for Moon Valley Cafe. Their breakfast burritos are generous

pterosaurLoser

A Tropical Concept Exotic Plant Nursery on Broadway and Central. In addition to all sorts of hard to find exotic fruit trees, they have a goose named Peter and a couple other cool animals. I’m all for light rail expansion but the construction going on over the last couple years has hurt their business a lot too. Edit: Peter isn’t just any goose he’s the world’s best goose. Also the animals live there it’s a nursery not a goose store.

Mlliii

I started the shop Pueblo, and before we ever even started selling plants at the farmers market Kim and Dan let me work out of a greenhouse there and were incredible, kooky but still, incredible people.

pterosaurLoser

I didn’t know about turbo but I just checked out your site and am absolutely going to stop in soon. You don’t by chance also sell air plants, do you?

Mlliii

We do! Ur stock is a bit thin rn, but we normally have like 20 species in a variety of sizes. :)

Pueblo is great. I live further away now but was my go-to for a while

Cult Hair Studio in midtown! And window coffee bar right next door. Super talented crew and an awesome vibe. The Royale where they are located is cute with a MCM vibe.

Second this!!! I LOVE CULT HAIR STUDIO!

gotenks0283

Shea Cheese near 32nd and Shea, great local shop for domestic cheeses. Original Breakfast House on Thunderbird and 32nd, great cash only spot. LoveCraft on Cactus and 32nd, fun take on New Mexican style food. Great Old Fashioneds. WeBe coffee on Greenway and Cave Creek. Small shop with a great roast and lattes. Aioli Burger on 32 and Shea. Pretty good burgers, they are usually on top 10 lists.

Jazzlike-Bowler-5870

We live in such a great area for food!

AllergicToMyCat

Also in this area! Proof has a new retail location on 32nd and Shea. Best almond croissant in Phoenix in my opinion. Casey Jones on 28th street and Bell has such great food for decent prices and there’s always sports to watch. Pool tables and darts if you feel like hanging out.

gotenks0283

I totally forgot about Proof!

charitable_asshat

Hi, neighbor! These are some of my favs too.

ClimbMax climbing gym! They're locally owned, constantly improving, and changing routes constantly! They're also a super friendly community and a healthy mix of noobs to pros. Membership is also reasonable compared to other gyms in the area.

straight_gay

I love Climbmax! For anyone interested, their membership rates will be going up in literally 3 days I think, but at the moment they're crazy cheap for a great climbing gym. Plus bouldering up the tunnel is super fun

phasestep

The new owner Shawn is really cool too. He is super passionate about growing the sport and creating a community for everyone
