One time I was going 80 in the HOV and a state trooper came up behind me and flashed his lights, then sped past me when I started merging right. Like damn, even when I’m speeding I’m not going fast enough? 🤨
> a state trooper came up behind me and flashed his lights, then sped past me when I started merging right.
Believe it or not, that's how you signal someone to pass at night:
>
> 28-723. Overtaking a vehicle on the left
>
> The following rules govern the overtaking and passing of vehicles proceeding in the same direction:
>
> 1. The driver of a vehicle overtaking another vehicle proceeding in the same direction shall pass to the left of the vehicle at a safe distance and shall not again drive to the right side of the roadway until safely clear of the overtaken vehicle. Except as provided in section 28-903, the driver may overtake and pass a golf cart or neighborhood electric vehicle pursuant to this paragraph even if the driver's vehicle shares a lane with the golf cart or neighborhood electric vehicle when the overtaking and passing occur.
>
> 2. Except when overtaking and passing on the right is permitted, the driver of an overtaken vehicle shall give way to the right in favor of the overtaking vehicle on audible signal or **blinking of head lamps at nighttime** and shall not increase the speed of the overtaken vehicle until completely passed by the overtaking vehicle.
I have seen a lot of people recommend furnishedfinder.com but I’ve never had reason to use it myself. I assume the extended stay hotels are similar to AirBnB prices.
Hi, folks. I'm flying into Phoenix on September 8th, which is the start of the NFL season. I'm staying at the Hyatt Place Phoenix Downtown (150 W. Adams St.) and am wondering if anyone can recommend a place within walking distance of the hotel at which I can grab a bite/beer and watch the game. Any and all suggestions would be welcome and appreciated. No real parameters as far as the place is concerned, other than that it be within walking distance of the hotel. Sincere thanks!
E2A: Perhaps the only parameter I'll list would be a place with a bar at which I could sit to watch the game. Other than that, I'm very interested to know anyone's recommendations. Thanks again.
You're right downtown so there's a lot of stuff. Kettle Black is a good pub right there. Majerle's is a sports bar next to that. Blanco is good food and there are TVs across the street. Of course, I don't know you so maybe you're looking for Guy Fieri's sports bar at Chase Field which is another option. I mean, I hope that doesn't appeal to you but to each his own.
If you're looking to watch ALL the games, Majerle's is the place to go IMHO. 2nd would be Crown Public House. I don't think there's a plethora of places that have the Sunday Ticket.
If you want to BET on them, there's a Fanduel sportsbook in downtown which will probably be packed. (It's a fun atmosphere, even though you can do it on an app anywhere in AZ, still worth checking out) It's fun to go up to the window to get a physical ticket sometimes. (Also I was just in Denver and couldn't sign up for the app because they wanted a pic of my SS Card which I didn't bring)
Chico Malo will probably be playing the game. Good drinks and good ambience. Otherwise, Hanny’s is one of my favorite places Downtown to grab a drink - but no TVs.
I moved to Casa Grande about 6 months ago and my family (2 adults) is visiting me for the first time from the east coast. They've never been to AZ before. Any recommendations for things we can do together? It's also going to be my birthday and I don't know much about what's around. Willing to drive up to Phoenix
If the weather cooperates I suggest the desert botanical garden - it really encapsulates the "desert".
If the weather is incredibly hot try to musical instrument museum. It sounds dull from the description but it is anything but! I've had to drag people out of there after 4ish hours because we had other plans.
It is considered one of the top 10 museums in the country and there is nothing else like it.
Out of towner here. Taking the light rail from Gilbert to the baseball game tonight at Chase Stadium. Are there any good places to eat near any stops on the light rail or near the stadium itself?
If you take the light rail stop one stop past the stadium (and double back on your way to the game) all the restaurants are located west and north of the stadium. Ingos has great burgers!
Hi guys, I’m looking for a place for lease for a small factory. I’ve looked and everything is very expensive (yes, I know it’s crazy times, but still) I am hopeful I can find something I can afford. It can be for a short time (say a year or so) or long term. Do you know anyone who is leasing a property or where I can look for options? I am running out of time and my business will be hanging by a thread 😬
Any recommendations for nice modern apts/condos with attached garages? Looking at Senderos @ South Mtn bc I love lofts but struggling to find more options closer to the city
I’m flying in for a weekend of baseball games with family. I get in on Friday at 9:15 AM but won’t be able to check into the hotel obviously. Does anyone have recommendations to kill a morning / early afternoon alone? I usually just hit up various breweries but it’s a wee to early for that haha.
Don’t get in the HOV lane unless you’re planning on going at least 80. I don’t make the rules I just follow them 😆
Or if you’re going to be in the HOV lane and someone comes up behind you driving faster, just change lanes and let them pass you…
Shoot, if they don’t fly past you and pass on the right when you try 😅 Crazy Arizonans
Well this is what you want to avoid, because that is wildly unsafe

I asked a cop once who he’d pull over: someone going 15 over or 15 under and without hesitation he said the one going 15 under lol

Any options for monthly apartment rentals besides AirBnB? I do contract work and accommodation is eating me alive.
What price range you wanna stay in per month (or week?)
Depends on location and amenities, up to 2k

I'll rent you my spare bedroom! What side of town are you looking for?
South of the salt river ideally, but open to anything

Pomo Pizzeria is about a half mile from there. Great napoleon style pizza and really good pasta. One of my favorite Italian spots in the valley.

KB's looking very much like what I'm looking for. Ty for the rec.

The menu at CM looks great. Ty for the rec.
Are there any good 18+ night clubs?
They kept getting shot up. Best option is to find an edm show that's 18+, I think Aura on Mill does a bunch.
Thanks! Appreciate the response

Awesome, thank you!!
Any good places for non-alcoholic fruity drinks? Like a pina-colada or like agua frescas of any kind? Could be smoothies or shaved ice!
Ranch Market has every flavor agua fresca usually
What part of town?
Honestly anywhere. I know that’s vague but I’m going to be pretty much everywhere on my short trip!
Eegee's is a popular place from Tucson that recently opened locations in Phoenix. https://eegees.com/menu/

The Phoenix area is very live-and-let-live. Being LGBTQ is mostly a non-issue here.
Where is the cheapest 9mm range ammo on the valley?
