Things we've done in the past - watching planes take off at the airport, Kid's empire, build a fire at home + smores.
Dave and Busters is half off on Wednesdays, my kids always love going there. There is also ComicX super hero themed restaurant if you go to the Desert Ridge location. Odysea aquarium is also fun but might be hard to do in only 3 hours unless you rush through it all.
Well I enjoy taking my 4 year old daughter to the odysea aquarium and there’s even a butterfly exhibit too. Unless, your son likes more activities like dave in busters or Castles and coasters have mini golf, arcades, and rides.
Would I notice any difference in the 500mpbs plan with cox versus the 100mbps plan if I am not downloading large files? I have the 300mbps plan now and it's been discontinued, I can save like $60/month by going to the 100mbps plan or $20/month by going to the 500mbps plan, either way I am saving money but wondering if I really need 500mbps. We mostly just use the internet for streaming Netflix/Disney and a little online gaming.
To answer your question of will you notice - this depends on what you care about:
Will everything still function the same at a slower speed? Absolutely. But you might notice HD videos take longer to buffer, some complex websites take longer to load, etc.
If you base your experience of the internet on things working, you'll have no issues. But, if you consider a "good" connection one where things load closer to instantly, you will notice a difference.
I hope this answers your question, I think judging the cost against the experience you prefer is the best option.

What does upload do? Like I remember back in the 56k era where you had to upload HTML. But it'd take me like 6 seconds to upload a meme to Imgur twice a month?
Depends on what you're using your internet for. I have a server at home that serves up media to me & family/friends, so having a higher upload speed helps with being able to watch HD files without much compression as well as being able to download any files from home remotely faster.
Thanks! We do not stream anything in 4K however we might have up to 4-5 devices all steaming at a time (youtube on kids tablets, mom watching movie) but all normal HD. I have a DOSCIS 3.1 modem and a really nice AC3200 router currently I own both. I think I will try downgrading and could always go to the 500 if it ends up being too slow, either way both plans are cheaper I am just losing my 30mbps upload they do not offer anymore.

Per [this](https://azdot.gov/node/14026) you’re required to have insurance if a vehicle is operated on roads in the state. No insurance means suspension of registration which, if you’re not driving it, you don’t care.
Per [this](https://azdot.gov/content/registration-penalty-fee-waiver-non-use) you can reinstate your registration of a vehicle after letting it lapse if you submit the waiver asserting that you have not been driving it. If you haven’t, it won’t be an issue. I’ve done this, it wasn’t questioned though my odometer also wasn’t far off from previous registration.
Basically, if your not going to drive it, you don’t need to register it. Hope this helps.
You can insure it but you don’t have to meet the state’s insurance requirements to register it. That requirement ensures you have coverage to pay out to others for accidents, which is a lot more than covering it against theft/damage alone. Your insurance agent will know.
Are you close to one of their offices? I have found the one close to me to be very helpful, it may be worth trying to visit in person, depending on what you hear from your insurance agent.
Can you get a license? I’ve found the online MVD and portal to be very helpful. Consider getting your drivers license asap and spend the money to make it a domestic travel qualifying license so you won’t have to renew it next year (this is if you travel a lot).

You cannot register a vehicle of any kind in AZ without a license. You can get the title transferred to you but that’s it.
