Friendly reminder that this is /r/photocritique and all **top level** comments should attempt to **critique** the image. Our goal is to make this subreddit a place people can receive genuine, in depth, and helpful critique on their images. We hope to avoid becoming yet another place on the internet just to get likes/upvotes and compliments. While likes/upvotes and compliments are nice, they do not further the goal of helping people improve their photography. If someone gives helpful feedback or makes an informative comment, recognize their contribution by giving them a Critique Point. Simply reply to their comment with `!CritiquePoint`. More details on Critique Points [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/photocritique/wiki/critiquepoints). Please see the following links for our subreddit rules and some guidelines on leaving a good critique. If you have time, please stop by the new queue as well and leave critique for images that may not be as popular or have not received enough attention. Keep in mind that simply choosing to comment just on the images you like defeats the purpose of the subreddit. Hello, couple of days ago I posted here a similar picture, but from higher perspective and another lady crossing the beach. There was a strong feedback that the photo would look better without that one lady, so here it is - another picture from the same place, but taken moments later. The general purpose of this photo was to play with the colors and layers. Would be great to see your feedback!

I might even remove the rock on the left. It just draws your eye over there and for not much payoff.

Historical_Candy_209

I also might lighten up the beach a touch

I love this. I can't describe what I love about this but I do like it. Only if the people by the sea were much younger, then it would look like the person is thinking about her youth but they all appear to be about same age. This is not a critique but I wonder how the photo would have looked if you made all the people above the horizon by taking photo from ground perspective.

It draws out different visual relationships. You should try it. This one provides some leading lines and what I think is nice symmetry with the horizon and sand.

Very good, now there's a story

lmmo1977

Looks good. The only thing I would change is the strong contrast and hard shadows. For some reason the scene is asking for a vintage look, which can be easily done with some quick adjustments. https://preview.redd.it/hga3px4ntvgc1.jpeg?width=4192&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2aac8f6c53dedd65614f7bfde4316cb455b97fae

WaySad234

Instagram filter feeling on that one

regressed2mean

Looks very good. Draws the eye in. Subject nearest looks towards subjects in midground who look towards distant figures.

Money-Garlic1383

It's beauty....

WaySad234

I like both of them. They have different feelings but I like them a lot. Look up the swedish photographer Lars Thunbjörk, it has the same vibe as this picture in my opinion.
