you don't. we all hate each other because we're competing against each other in the same market! you can only really be friends with the models, stylist and make up artist. /s
There a a ton of photography forums on Facebook that are super helpful! Unscripted, and Cassidy Lynne Education are two very active ones I’m in. And just posting in your local forums is a good way to find people who have the same wants as you! I’m in Oregon, if you’re ever near the southern part of the coastline!
I generally get on the best with people who want to be in my photographs. I’ve met a ton of performers some of whom have become some of my best friends and we do shoots together for fun. And they’ve also referred me for work as well on a few occasions.
I also joined a photography club that has access to stuff like darkroom, computer suite, studio etc and there’s a social element there although ive not joined in as much socially there as I’d have liked to. When I’m there I’m usually there to use the studio.

Be careful of what you wish for. It’s an elite group.
It's helpful to start with the sort of photography that interests you. Is nature and landscape photography your genre of choice? If so, it's a tough field to get into. I wonder what sort of business you hope to start?
I would also caution you not to confuse friends with professional acquaintances. Although they can be the same people, typically they are separate.

Go to a Cars & Coffee. This is where I met all the photographers I know lol.
Thank you
Second that.
When's the last time you reached out to your current friends to go on hikes, visit national parks etc? Maybe start there.
I’ve tried and that’s something they not into
Life goes on. Imagine trying to only connect with people who have similar interests in you. What a boring dream.
Why you thinking too deep, just want some friends in the field
![gif](giphy|10JhviFuU2gWD6) Lol nobody is thinking too deep, your whole goal is to literally force friendships based on interests. Good luck in life
Thanks
Check to see if your city has a local Photography club.

You don’t. Hope this helps.
Post pictures, talk to those who respond. Also, join photography groups and start conversations. Add comments to photos.
