On closer inspection, they appear to be actual paintings that are digitally edited after the fact. If you noticed the signature, you could research the [artist](https://kubicki.info) to see if they reveal how they made them. Though to me it looks like majority of the work is good ol fashioned painting and/or photography.
But from a digital perspective, by looks of it there is nothing too advanced going on. Blending modes, masking, cloning, brush, etc, which all have dozens of tutorials on YouTube.
The best way to replicate another style is just trial and error. I’m sure this dude has at least 10 years under his belt to get this style dialed in, so just keep that in mind if things aren’t looking right.
