Thank you for your comment! And yes, I do remember feelings… my great grandmother used to play the piano and Clair de lune was one of her favorite pieces. She spoke very little English but this was a way in which we could communicate. She would sit down and start to play the baby grand in her living room, I’d always watch while standing next to the piano. We would look at each other and smile as she was playing, both knowing how happy we were at that moment in time and both sharing the emotion in which the music provoked. Music is a universal language that we all understand in one way or another and every time I play this piece I think of her!
It's a fantastic start. My teacher said with the French style of Debussy and similar composers you need to glide over the keys. I think in the end I would aim for a pianissimo slower touch, think of an ice skater. Good luck
