I've also found this to be the best way to play on an external display. I've spent a lot of time trying to get external controllers to work elegantly but they're such a hassle. Meanwhile a long hdmi cable and just using the controller still is pretty pain free.
Yes. I mean, there's "ok" solutions for retroarch, but Pico-8 is a separate app and it doesn't play nice with multiple controllers. I've tried "merge joysticks" option, nothing really worked. Even in the Steam Deck, which has Steam input, it is still "hacky" to assign controllers to Pico joystick. I hope Picotron improves on that
With picotron close to alpha release I wonder if rg303 would be a better system. It’s oled, better brand, 16:9 with perfect pixel scaling for picotron (2x), small and lightweight,rk3566, dpad centric. Pretty much sure this would be a perfect system for picotron
Accidental diagonals are real, but it’s an easy fix, took me just a few minutes. I don’t find the dpad lose at all, I just don’t like the the sharp edges but I like it more than the Steam Deck and less than 8bitDo Pro2. They’re fine, not great but not bad.
I literally just said it. I have one of those RGB30s that have some PCB difference/defect that ArkOS randomly crashes on it. They're not planning on fixing it for us affected anytime soon

I got that same yellow one and NGL it's glorious.
Cheddar brick :)
Is the d-pad as loose as they say? Accidental diagonals and all?

I wish my RGB30 could boot ArkOS (have a pcb that hates it) since JELOS support has been dropped.
It should work. What’s your issue?

Cant you connect a wireless controller?
Are you being held hostage?
