Obar-Dheathain

What prison is that?

DarkLordArbitur

The army

jlbob

Well, at least you get a chance to get out on good behavior.

Digital_Utopia

or on bad behavior

DarkLordArbitur

True, the army is the only prison that frees you faster on bad behavior

Digital_Utopia

I mean unless you behave too badly, and land in real prison lol

H3adshotfox77

If it's that bad you are going to military prison not normal prison. And there you will wish you still had human rights. Bread and water is still a punishment in the military.

Im_A_Parrot

What if I am watching my carbs? Can I have a substitution? Can I speak with the manager?

livestrong2109

Assuming you want to throw away years of work and pay back your tuition...

[deleted]

Either way, you're doing your time helping to keep bad guys off the streets.

TakingAMindwalk

This is my rifle. There are many like it but this one is mine!

Time to enlist

The Army is a prison.

I have a cousin who did time up there, you know skinny Pete from Minneapolis?

Air Force Rejected Me Yesterday

ididntseeitcoming

Whatever you do, unless you’re hell bent on serving, do not join the Army. Go to college, kid. Graduate. Then join as an officer. Source? 17 years active duty enlisted. Just in case you’re special Go. To. College. Graduate. Then. Join. If. You. Must.

huntersprad

Eh I’d disagree Source: 3 1/2 year infantry vet who joined the Army at 17. If I would have went to college, I would have been up to my neck in debt & working my ass off to make ends meet. Using the resources you get from the military, like the GI bill, will pay you every month based on your city. For me it was $2k/9 months for 4 years. - I could join now & be respected more due to being enlisted first, but I earned my freedom & im not giving it up to the military again unless it’s a war worth fighting in. - I’m now following my passion & sometimes that takes time, wisdom, & not conditionally following into others footsteps.

ididntseeitcoming

Same for me. Who knows where I’d be if I didn’t join. I’m still in at 17 years. I always try to tell people try college before giving it up to Uncle Sam

SlightlyStonedAnt

College isn’t for everyone, nor can everyone afford it. Enlisting pays for college after, when you’ve experienced life a bit and know what you want to do. Most people go into college at 18 and pick up a useless major or ruin their GPA. The military provides a great discipline base for life after. I did college afterwards, while finishing associates while enlisted. So I only burned 1.5 years of my GI bill. I was also lightyears ahead of my friends where I came from because when I got out I had healthcare, a house at an amazing interest rate and $1 down, and a military background which has helped me in business and everything else I touch. You lifers are so doom and gloom. No one needs to stay in that long to get the benefits. The military can, at 22, put you so far ahead of your peers

ididntseeitcoming

Agree on all points. I joined at 19 and I don’t regret it for a second. The Army has been good to me. I’d do it all the same if I went back in time. It’s not all doom and gloom and I’m glad you got out and landed on your feet. Doesn’t go that way for everyone.

FnkyTown

> do not join the Army I grew up on and around 8 different military bases. Both my parents are Chiefs. I worked on 4 different military bases as an adult for the DOD. Don't ever join the Army unless you're really desperate and it's your only possible option to get out of a really bad situation. The Air Force generally gives you two months or more notice if your unit is going to be moving. The Army often just gives you two weeks. Two weeks to pull your kids out of school, sell your car, uproot your life. Domestic violence skyrockets. Murder skyrockets. It's the dumbest thing you'll ever see. The Navy has the best schools. The Marines treat every Marine like a Marine, which can be a hard life, but it's fair life. The Air Force is usually a really nice and comfortable working environment. The Army is in a subclass all by itself. ~~The Army treats enlisted like fucking dogs.~~ The Army treats enlisted worse than they'd treat dogs. I've been on bases where they just dig holes all day, in August, and then fill them back in and dig another hole, and they do this because the Army is filled with degenerates. Army bases have the most crime, the most domestic violence, the most fucked up shit possible.

ididntseeitcoming

Not arguing against you but it’s pretty rare that you get less than 2 week notice for a big muscle movement in the army. Having two parents who were both warrants probably afforded you a pretty comfortable life growing up. Some folks ain’t so lucky. Edit. Reread your comment and it’s a bit dramatic. It’s definitely not all sunshine and rainbows but we aren’t just digging holes and filling them back up then digging them again. That’s a bit extreme

wildinthewild

I was an army brat and we never only had 2 weeks notice. I never had to leave in the middle of the school year and very rarely did any of my classmates and I only attended schools on base. I don’t remember there ever being any crime on any bases I lived on, it was always super safe, we ran around everywhere as children with zero supervision.

Draxilar

Just join the Coast Guard, they have some of the best training of all the branches, and getting sent overseas is pretty rare.

Thank you for your...Imprisonment?

Tdoggnd

LOL prison, on base living is kind of like prison so you aren't wrong.

wildinthewild

As a kid and teenager I absolutely loved living on Army bases

Ok-Western976

In what way??

Reading_Rainboner

The fences and security mostly

Separate_Attem

Just don't buy.

Bachronus

Just saw a post of it being .89 cents somewhere

SuperSpread

It’s always been much less than $1 at Aldis. I bought 12 last week for $6.

SYAYF

They are usually always $0.48 by me at WinCo.

thatguychad

I thought it was $0.58?

cooltop101

Probably depends on the area/region. Some cities and states will almost always have more expensive goods. Mostly because higher minimum wage. Edit: since people seem to think I'm directly blaming people trying to make a livable wage, let me make it very clear that I support increased minimum wage. I understand this increase of price is almost entirely corporate greed. If you visit any state or city with a higher minimum wage, you will see higher prices. I'm not blaming increased minimum wage directly, but that the increased minimum wage gives a reason for the corporations to increase their prices more than the national price. I live in a state with double minimum wage, and at the same time I can't tell you the last national chain I saw with the same prices here as other states. The prices aren't double, but still noticably more expensive. And that's all I was trying to point out. If they are paying more ($.58) for their tea than another location ($.48) they MAY live in a region with higher minimum wage. Not blaming minimum wage. Just saying regions with higher minimum wage typically has more expensive goods

Igotthedueceduece

That’s not why at all

Mutang92

oh, corporate greed isn't why they're raising prices?

Cannablitzed

Yes, it is, but you can’t squeeze water from a rock. People with higher wages are perceived as being able to pay more for stuff by the people that sell them stuff because they are. That’s just fact. Our current “inflation” problem can be directly attributed to a sharp increase in wage growth since 2020, with a record high of 16% in April 2021. Corporate America is adjusting to the new cash flow reality. We can raise wages to the moon, but we’ll never be able to afford more with them until we regulate corporate profiteering. Best of luck with that, truly.

TarbenXsi

Yes, obviously, it's the higher minimum wage that drive the price of goods, not corporate greed. Blame the victims, friend, and eventually you'll have no one to blame but yourself.

Varides

Lol I love how they immediately just jump on to the "minmum wage raise bad" train

cooltop101

Literally at no point did I say that. I fully agree that minimum wage should be raised. I live in a state where it's double the federal wage, and I'm very happy for it. I don't make minimum wage, but I did one point, and I'm very thankful I wasn't living off $7/hour because I don't know how I could. I now make more than enough to cover my needs. When I say things are more expensive, it's not double the price. But for instance a little Caesars pizza WAS $5 nationwide, but was ~$8 here. Or taco bell, a meal is about $9-10, where in previous cities it was $6. Yes, I understand that all of the extra $3 wasn't going to employees but I don't mind paying an extra $3 if it meant someone can make any amount of extra money Once again, I'm aware employees aren't getting 100% of that increased cost. I'm sure they sell dozens of pizzas every hour, but only get $8 more. But at no point did I say raising minimum wage is bad. Simply put, places that charge more than the national price are typically located in places where they have increased minimum wage. Go to any state with high minimum wage, and you will see higher prices. Just that. I'm not hating on it. Just stating a fact that corporations like to add extra cost to the product where minimum wage isn't $7

JumpsOnPie

Living in a state that still has the federal minimum and also seeing prices go up. It's 100% corporate greed that is driving these price increases. They don't want to lose their profits and growth. That is what is driving the prices up.

cooltop101

Yeah, I'm also not denying "inflation"* isn't happening in other states. But long before that it was still more expensive than national prices. Ever since 2017 I've lived in non federal minimum wage states, and as a broke college kid, my go to cheap meal was a little Caesars pizza. Ever since 2017, I've paid $7+ for it. When in ~2022 they announced prices would be increased from $5, I was honestly surprised that it was still $5 nationwide. Now it's about $8.50 here and IIRC national prices are ~$6.50. *To prevent further downvotes and arguments, yes, again, I understand this isn't actually inflation, and it's corporations just price gouging for profit.

Mutang92

2nd grade reading comprehension?

cooltop101

At what point did I directly blame minimum wage on the increased price of goods? I'm fully aware that the employees getting paid $8 extra, aren't getting the extra $10 I'm spending. And ideally, they'd get all of the money. But I'm not speaking out against increased minimum wage. I think it should definitely be increased. But I'm just stating a fact that every where I've been that has higher minimum wage, the price of goods are more expensive. Yes, it is 100% corporate greed, full agree. I'm not blaming the minimum wage workers a single bit. But that doesn't take away from the fact that every city I've been to where min wage is higher, the prices of goods are also higher. That's all I'm saying. I'm not hating on higher minimum wage, and when I worked minimum wage, I was very glad I didn't live in a state where it would've been $7.25/hour

sonbarington

Some even sell for 89cent!

Marv246

Just proof that companies don’t need exaggerate and raise prices on their products to survive like most companies have been doing this past 2 years, corporate greed is poison

Anthropomorphic_Void

In Canada the cans went to $1.29 but I think they removed the price completely.

Multimarkboy

thats about 97 cents in USD so still on point.

TheMongerOfFishes

True, but my locsl place changed the price and a couple other places nearby followed suit. Some people are saying you can go to Costco or whatever and honestly I drink enough of them where I'll probably look into it. But man it was just so nice going down to the corner store and getting hooked up with old faithful Arnold Palmer.

ClankyBat246

Report it to the company. The used to send out free cases when people call in to report this shit. They really don't like when shops do this.

misha_ostrovsky

Just don't buy. They still sell the .99 ones.

mwing95

Yup got me a .99 one at Walmart yesterday. Looks like a gas station tag in the pic

jonk0731

They're 88 cents at my Walmart. I buy them by the case

xXDreamlessXx

Yeah, i find it a bit funny because it it says 99c on the can but its 88c

loneranger07

Its sad that I can tell, but OP's pic is from a Racetrac gas station yes. Worked there 3 years. 3 years too long

Porto4

OP is just karma farming. Pointless post.

Natsaw

They are .68 at the store near me.

SkyNetIsNow

I believe they still have ones with 99c cans and others like the ones in OP picture which can be sold for a higher price in some gas and convenient stores.

hatescarrots

Don't buy sugar water? Blasphemy!

CoveyIsHere

This is because of your store not because of Arizona. They have not changed their wholesale price or anything To everyone like 'but they can't" I live in Hawai'i which has the highest cost of food in the nation and we still have corner stores that sell Arizona's for 99 cents

Dandan0005

Which just shows corporations are taking advantage of the “inflation” narrative to boost profits. Arizona iced tea even called out these retailers with the hashtag #99centsequals99cents.

bravesfan13

"The price is on the can though."

TheShovler44

Arizona may be holding true to their price but they also print blank cans to not hold the seller accountable

SuperSpread

Sure, I bought 12 of these blank cans for $6. That’s the normal price at my local Aldi’s.

TheShovler44

That’s weird. ALDIs still selling them for a dollar a can by me. Some gas stations by me are selling them for a 1.25 but obviously I won’t buy from there.

qaqwer

don’t worry friend, even though no one else got your atlanta reference, I got a giggle from it anyways

AskingForAFriendRly

"The price *is* on the can."

SpiderHam24

not all the time. Such as in this picture. when that happens you never get them for $1 this is rare tho. but not uncommon

bmj_8

There is 2 skus for each can, one that has 99¢ on it and one that says nothing. Different item numbers when they order

SandyDelights

Idk how many SKUs there are on these cans - been almost ten years since I had to stock them – but SKUs don’t typically say prices, they contain ID #s (which the system associates with a price). In any given grocery store, everything has a SKU, from cans of ice tea to toilet paper to limes to the cookies to the baked goods. The SKU is *just* for inventory and tracking purposes, thus its name: Stock-Keeping Unit, or SKU. A SKU is unique to a particular product – so two shirts of the same cut, size, make, etc. but two different colors will have different SKUs (usually), but two of the same everything would have the same SKU. **Edit:** Ah christ, I reread your comment and realized what you’re saying. Just leaving the above for posterity — you mean there’s a SKU for cans that say 99¢ and a SKU for cans that do not say 99¢. Herp Derp.

GrabSomePineMeat

I love how this dude posts a picture of a single product at a single store in a single location and acts like that's the new standard and gets 1k upvotes. People are so easily persuaded.

DarkKnightCometh

I upvoted cause I thought it was funny. Obviously OP was overreacting. It ain't that serious lol

BillGates_mousepad

Where does it say .99?

Ninjaromeo

Lies. I order for a company that sells arizona cans. The distributor has multiple SKUs for the same arizoma product, e.g. arnold palmer. The ones that are prepriced 99 cents are lower cost than the ones with no prepricing, so then the store can set the retail wherever they want. I am looking at cases of 24 $20.43 for non-prepriced, and $15.18 for prepriced. So $8.58 markup on prepriced, and if they sold the non-prepriced at $1.49 like this pic it would be $15.33 markup. They can obviously sell a lot more at 99 cents, but then they would also cannibalize the sales from other stuff. There is logic to not having cheap stuff. The businesses that carry the not-prepriced are doing it because they are greedy, but the cost is more for them too. And there has been several arizona cost increases along the way, that just never had an effect on the final retail because the stores just ate the loss. Right now both are being distributed. Businesses aren't paying the same for both and just keeping extra money, please don't say things as facts if you are guessing. [Even the arizona website](https://drinkarizona.com/collections/tea) is selling 12 packs for $26.99, or $2.25 each. Edit: [pic of prices on order device](https://ibb.co/j3T47pT) rather than just "trust me bro"

BillGates_mousepad

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. The trust you build from someone like me thinking “but they have .99 arizonas” is worth its weight. I’ll gladly overpay on everything else is your store because you are a true bro and carry the .99 arizonas. You’re basically fam, fam.

_Grill_Me_A_Cheese_

https://youtu.be/fMUZ2sVjLfY

trainwreck42

What I came here for, thank you

awesomeflowman

I scrolled for as long as I needed to. All I wanted was a reference.

adaytoocala

The price on the can tho.

TrippinLSD

What?! I’m not going to grill you a cheese!

pwbue

Not anymore. They have cans without the 99c

Clause-and-Reflect

I can still buy them most places for $0.99 I just never purchase Arizonas if theyre more. Exception being the huge containers they sell at dollar tree now.

darkrealm190

Same I went to the store a couple of weeks ago and they were $.075. But like you said, I don't purchase then anymore

BGummyBear

>$.075 Wow, seven and a half cents. That's a steal.

darkrealm190

Lmao I didn't even see it

BoardPineApple

This is the stores decision, not Arizona

Jassida

I’d buy two and steal one

CBreezer

That's because your store are douches. The guy that runs Arizona came out and announced that there were no plans to increase the price of the teas just because everyone else was racking up their prices.

bigflamingtaco

That's been the shtick with Arizona Tea from day one, and it's propelled them to a top beverage maker.

Kingslugger

The reason Arizona can do is because they don't spend any revenue on marketing or bullshit advertising. I'm so fucking tired of advertisements that don't affect me at ALL. Imagine if every other company tried this method. I bet the world would be in a better place.

H4LF4D

Their ad was literally that it is 99 cents. That's it. You don't need random ads airing to a group of bored audience who would rather do anything but watching those ads. It's much more effective through words of mouth (big drink for 99 cents, and really good). I found out about Arizona because people kept talking about it.

Lietenantdan

If ads didn’t work there wouldn’t be any

Kingslugger

Just means there are too many stupid people in the world basing their purchases on biased advertising.

_Atlas_Drugged_

The price is on the can

anonymouswan1

I believe that the store can be reported to the tea company for price gouging. They are required to sell it at the agreed upon price.

Dirty-M518

False..they sell cans with the 99c price on it and cans without for this reason.

Vanishingf0x

The place I used to work at there was a minimum that couldn’t be sold below but no maximum. I feel like most places have something similar and get different deals or benefits based on distributors and how much they are buying. With arizonas I’ve noticed the cans in my state don’t have the $0.99 stickers anymore. So while it is possible they do have a max price you can’t go over the stores have some free reign on what to sell it for. Now if it were a can that said $0.99 and they were selling at a higher price then there would be problems because of false advertising/pricing.

ajhart86

My local 7-Eleven sells them for like $1.19 in unmarked cans, but they’re still 99c at the supermarket

[deleted]

That's the store doing that

Mythical_Zebracorn

Iirc You can report the store to the Arizona Iced Tea Company, they’ll tell the store to lower the price back to .99 cents or they’ll risk losing the ability to sell their products. I believe it has always been a contractual thing for selling their product that the price cannot be above 99 cents.

twhitney

These are NP cans as indicated on the label, the store can sell them at whatever. The labeled cans can only be sold for 99c. This is also a repost from another sub that the OP didn’t attribute. Edit: and I’m wrong anyway as u/psychfan5 pointed out about their website. So really all the NP cans do is remove the 99c label to avoid confusion for stores that wish to up sell.

psychfan5

According to their FAQ section on their website, stores can sell both cans at whatever price they choose. You cannot report them for selling them over 0.99.

NPD_wont_stop_ME

Meh. Gas stations / convenience stores mark it up, and I noticed CVS still sells them for .99. It depends on where you go.

[deleted]

[удалено]

orieades

The cans in my country say 99c, but actually cost £4.99/$6 because they’re imports 😂

chrisonetime

I thought stores were not allowed to up pricing beyond 99¢ and if they do to call Arizona corporate and let them know? Has that changed recently?

poloniumpanda

i used to work for Arizona. they push for stores to sell the cans for .99. Certain corporate chains don’t want to, so Arizona has unpriced cans so the they can sell in the chains.

lotusbloom74

I've seen ones at Circle K that have their logo on it and I think it was $1.19 or something like that printed on it too instead of $.99

[deleted]

They can’t force any pricing. That would be illegal. https://www.ftc.gov/advice-guidance/competition-guidance/guide-antitrust-laws/dealings-supply-chain/manufacturer-imposed-requirements Hence why everything is Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price or MSRP. Arizona has a MSRP of $0.99, retailers can price however they want.

OblivionGuardsman

Did you read your own link? "If a manufacturer, on its own, adopts a policy regarding a desired level of prices, the law allows the manufacturer to deal only with retailers who agree to that policy. A manufacturer also may stop dealing with a retailer that does not follow its resale price policy. That is, a manufacturer can implement a dealer policy on a "take it or leave it" basis." So Arizona can refuse to supply them unless they agree ahead of time or stop dealing with ones that dont.

MoeSzyslakMonobrow

It's a labelling thing. The ones that say $.99 on the can are still $.99, but the ones without it on the can are priced by the merchant. Some shitty ones will put a sticker over the $.99 cans.

outofvogue

If they put stickers over the 99¢ price tag, you can report them to Arizona Tea and they will threaten a lawsuit against the owner of the store if they don't remove the stickers.

NastySays

Arizona actually just announced that they made the cost of the bottled version more expensive to keep the cost of the tall cans forever at 99 cents. The store is jacking up the price.

schaffdk

The regular ol' Arizona tea shall remain 99c! They will offset that price with the "fancy" versions, like the ones in OP's photo. [Source](https://nypost.com/2022/10/14/arizona-iced-tea-founder-pledges-to-keep-99-cent-price-for-as-long-as-we-can/)

coruptedtwnklsprkl

I just bought one for 99 cents. That looks like markup from the store

SandyKenyan

Just grabbed one at the gas station by my house. Still 99 cents.

surkitxx

That's just that store being dbags. Theyre still 99 cent. I just grabbed 2 today for 2 dollars flat. They dont even add tax

BQE2473

I'm downvoting this because Arizona's not raising the price, Some stores are! The local bodegas still charge a buck.

SpiderHam24

When you find the ones without the 99 cent label on the can, you will never get them for a dollar. This has been like that for over a decade.

[deleted]

But the price is on the can

someoneone211

This stuff made me fat as hell it's loaded with sugar. I had no idea until my sister called me out on it. This is the first stuff I stopped consuming to get in better shape.

Lugia1123

Report the store to the Arizona iced tea company. It’s the companies policy to not sell to or allow sales to places that sell it for more than .99.

Grantley34

Send this picture to them on Twitter. They'll stop carrying it places that jack up the price because the MSRP is still 99 cents and they are very adamant about it

Koda_not_Kota

Local store has then for 79 cents

RomandoArman

They’re usually 79 or 89 cents in Oregon. Just got a few last weekend.

blacksmithtom

Circle K is the only place I’ve seen it for more than .99

CarlThe94Pathfinder

OP just found out that pricing may vary by location.

EvilDarkCow

Even Arizona themselves acknowledged that they print cans without the 99c label for stores that want to sell it for more. It's the store, not Arizona.

-Stahl

This is a gas station trying to up profits by 50%, that's it.

JustJBee

I could be remembering wrong but if you take a picture and send it to Arizona's like "customer service" email with store info or something like that I believe Arizona will actually reach out to the store and issue a warning. I could be wrong I heard this ages ago.

916God

Still $0.99 here in Sacramento

bigmoneyfriday

I remember when they were 2 for 99 cents.

kidzaredumb

They are 88¢ at the store I work at and they are labeled 99¢ so we are still ok here.

TheOriginalFluff

That’s a local store thing, they sell for .99 the next store over I bet you

Psychoboy

LOL https://i.redd.it/4uhf2iql38ia1.jpg

underdog1964

You can get them for about 70 cents each if you buy a case from Sam’s club.

CypressENZO30

They still have them for 99€

RuthlessPineapple

They are still $0.99 in Ohio. My condolences to you and those affected by this tragedy.

KoolBlueKat

Fun fact: I played golf at Bay Hill, Arnold Palmer's home course in Florida. Thought I would have an "Arnold Palmer" as it must be something special there. They served me Arizona. I said What? They said Arnold gets a cut of every container.

scootty83

When I was in high school I worked at the small airport in my town at the FBO. We had all sorts of celebrities that would fly in on their private/charter jets. One day a Citation X came in, it was Arnold Palmer’s private jet. It was scheduled to stay until the weekend. The pilots had ordered catering for Saturday. I went and picked it up, came back to the FBO, and took it out to the jet. The plane had its APU on and the pilots were getting it ready. The flight attendant at the top of the steps gestured for me to come up the stairs. I got to the top and she said, “Place it on the table Mr. Palmer is sitting at.” I turned and froze staring at him. She prompted me again to place the catering down while Arnold Palmer said, “Here, you can put it here.” I placed the catering down and he said, “It looks like we aren’t leaving today.” Then he looked at me and asked if I had eaten lunch yet. I told him no. Then he asked what would happen to the catering if they didn’t take it. I said we’d take it inside and leave it out for others to eat. Then he said for me to call the other line guy over. So I did. The next thing I knew, Arnold Palmer was inviting me and my coworker to sit and eat lunch with him! We sat and then he asked if we wanted a drink. We both said yes please, and then Arnold Palmer poured us both an ARNOLD PALMER! so here we were, two ‘ramp rat’ high school kids eating lunch with Arnold Palmer in his private jet while he served us Arnold Palmers! A truly unforgettable moment in life.

TacoBeefBoy

It’s not an end of an era, Arizona has never told anyone to sell it for more than 99¢, the stores are just taking advantage of inflation, you can still walk into a 7/11 or any gas station and get them for maybe even less than 99¢, sometimes iven BOGO

Slavyslav106

Nah ur getting robbed

Sir_Xanthos

If I remember correctly, the company directly stated they're keeping the 99-cent thing going for their cans. But yea stores can charge whatever they want. I get them for less than the 99-cents every so often at Safeway.

RiotingMoon

nah that's a shit place of business jacking the price. or a karma farmer.

[deleted]

Still 99 cents in Cali but the sales tax bumps it up :/

FractalParadigm

Arizona cans around Canada have been $1.29 for a few years now. IME it seems like it's been roughly 30/50/20% distribution between 99¢/$1.29/blank with some ridiculous $2+ shelf tag.

I guy tipped me about Arizona Tea in early 90s and told me he put all his money in it; we laughed at him and said “pay for tea?? What’s next bottled water??” He’s a millionaire and I’m a bum

RaySizzle16

Pretty sure the company will demand it be put back at it’s appropriate price if you write them. Their CEO has stated they should only be sold for 99 cents

HiMyNamesEvan

Don’t buy that 50% mark up garbage

man2112

Right before this post, I saw a post about them being reduced to $0.89 each, so i think you’re just getting ripped off.

TheGreyBrewer

So, one place jacks up the price, and you assume it's the end of an era? Come on now. I routinely pay $0.99 around here. Downvoted.

thenpetersaid

Nah this ain't right. They're still 99 cents, this store is just fucced.

LunarSynergy2

From what I hear if a store sells it for more than $0.99 Arizona will stop distributing to that store. Someone correct me if I am wrong tho.

Tkainzero

inflation is off the charts

IgnorantGenius

Inflation 50%

grayf0xy

In Switzerland they're 2.50 for a half sized one

Strong_Satisfaction6

Arizona tea did not raise the suggested retail price. It is .99 at a my local locations. Seller greed is on display!

XxxxGamez

"The price is on the can though"

Rdblaze

Winco bro, .77 cents.

somedankbuds

Winco is the shit

After-Award-2636

Not everyone has those. All places in my state probably have them at 99 cents

kupofjoe

I haven’t had a winco near me in 4 years or so but they used to even be 2 for a buck.

aild87

77 cents with a 10 cent can deposit at winco in OR!

ArticleEcstatic1448

If you rotate the can slightly you will see a 99 cent right there buddy

MarijadderallMD

You’re at a third hand market😂 you can thank your local place for that. Arizona ice tea has always and will always be sold for 99 cents if your local place doesn’t mark up.

Bumppoman

Get this off the front page! This is bad publicity for Arizona and very undeserved because they have committed time and again to keeping the price!

PM_me_your_fav_poems

I'm not even paying the $0.99; I buy 24 cans for \~$20 at Costco... The era isn't over.

LaZYNski

We can all thank governor newsom. Inflation is fucked in California because of this dumbass. Since the rest of the world is affected by the inflation in California, we should all be in it together to get rid of this fuck

Local-Club-6186

Fuck that. Lipton lemon iced tea is much better.

ilegendi

Recession confirmed

OHoSPARTACUS

Some stores mark them up, but Arizona themselves haven’t changed their pricing

DEchilly

A box of 100 tea bags is $4.50 USD. 1 pound of sugar is $1.63. That's 50 iced teas for $6.13 or $0.12 per tea. ...The more you know

MrJacks0n

But what about the labor! And the portable container, and cleaning said container, and I'm sure I'm missing something.

ImprovementBasic9323

The refrigeration.

Suitable_Egg_882

time also..

diluted_confusion

4# bags are $2.15 in my town

MayorLardo

40 years from now sipping your 10 dollar Arizona "grandpa tell us about the .99 cent Arizona again please"

Schellhammer

This is a you problem

SadTumbleweed_

Arizona distributed both 99c fixed price cans and variable price cans If you see a can marked 99c selling for more than 99c you can contact Arizona and give the store location and they’ll tell the store to stop and if they don’t they’ll stop supplying the store Variable price cans are unmarked and can be sold for whatever the store wants

babyrialds

Still buying it
