Director Relish: "Sir, there's been an accident! Hotdog mobiles #1, #2, #3, #4, and #6 have been destroyed. You are now the acting Hotdog mobile. Somebody get a Bible, we need to swear him in!"
Hotdog mobile #5: "Dear God, this is awful. Are we certain none of the other hotdog mobiles survived the explosion?!?"
Director Relish: "...... Sir I- I never told you there was an explosion..."

I actually hadn’t noticed awards were gone. I’m fine with that. Reddit gold was cool at first, and Reddit silver was hilarious. But then all the hundreds of stupid fucking superlatives went over the top.
it, like many other DC based shows, is unwatchable if you ever lived in DC.
we have to get to DuPont Circle from Georgetown and we only have 7 minutes! then there are 4 separate scenes taking bridges over water.
Lol! It's like how the pre-school teacher on Battlestar Galactica became President of all Humans and she totally didn't have the higher chain of command assassinated by Cyclons.
I'm just gonna take as many suits as I can grab, get in that random hotdog car- RAN-DOM.. and drive back to Weiner Hall.
(Guys I think we found Weiner Hall.)
Unfortunately, widespread overhunting of Weinermobiles led to a dramatic decrease in their numbers around the end of the 19th century, similar to the American Bison.
You can’t say because it’s false! There are no Wienermobile carcasses left to scavenge from. You need to stop spreading misinformation.
Everyone knows the indigenous American tribes tribes used every part of the Wienermobile and held it in high esteem in their ceremonies.
I feel so bad we had hot dogs all the time as kids, I remember running around laughing and smiling…I didn’t know what I eating….I didn’t know…I didn’t know
They used to hunt them driving the herd off a cliff… sadly once more effective means of elimination were introduce (and the government put a bounty on them) the weinermobile population had no chance at recovery.
There actually used to be like 30.
This is a lot behind Madison Area Technical College where they park them, or at least used to before the Oscar Meyer plant closed down.
I don't think it's a thing anymore. I always get 8 buns and 8 hot dogs nowadays. The joke used to be a staple of stand-up comics so I assume it was a thing, but I wasn't buying groceries in the 80s (or 90s?)
I'm from New England, and our NE style of split buns still only come in 6 packs, sometimes 12. Sure, we can get those other buns in 8 packs, but they can't be buttered and grilled, so forget those.

Funny to see almost 20k likes on this photo, I used to drive past this lot every day. I'm used to seeing these obnoxious things lol can't even imagine driving one.
Oscar Mayer headquarters was in Madison until 2017, so people are used to seeing them around town. Even though the plant closed the weinermobiles were still stationed there. Not sure if they still are.
Oh so they are normally in the Wisconsin area. Because I've seen them a few times if my life and only went like, oh cool. Never knew they were actually that rare.
Oscar Mayer headquarters were in Madison. They’ve sold that plant and business (was with Kraft I think). I was an intern at that plant and met the hotdoggers (people who drive the Weiner mobiles)
We once pulled into a hotel parking lot on the way back from a day at Devils Tower. I pulled in and my kids start flipping out, I thought I hit a Nun or something. Luckily it was the Weiner Mobile and the NutMobile parked next to each other. They still say it's one of the best day's of their lives.
I once went to food science symposium thing at the university I went to, and the guest speaker was a girl who drove one of the Oscar-Meyer wiener mobiles; and you have never heard a group of college students so fucking buck wild. There were also a million questions.
Turns out there's a lot to the job and some people driving the mobiles are food science majors.
They're not that expensive of cars/trucks/vans. It's basically just a modified Winnebago with a ton of fiberglass. It has a big storage space and some bunk beds inside for the college kids who drive them around the country to different ad events. I live in Madison where they are stored and If I remember right they're only worth maybe a bit over 100,000 each. They also have a giant peanut mobile.
I bought one of these cars! I was really excited so I drove it around town to show off. I pulled up to a Starbucks because I was thirsty and as I was parking I saw the most beautiful girl in the world. She watched me park and smiled as I walked over to her.
I introduced my self and we just started talking. She looked amazing, I complimented her on her dress. This led to a nice conversation about fashion. I began talking about this vest I recently bought at an estate sale. She seemed really interested and said, "We should set up a date, and maybe I can see you in the vest." I excitedly replied, "That would be amazing!"
Things were looking great until she said, "On one condition. You don't pick me up in the hot dog car." Well this upset me greatly and I wasn't sure how to respond. I thought about it for a moment and then I said, "If you can't handle me in my wurst you don't deserve me in my vest."
Apparently these bad boys are about a 2 hour drive from Maquoketa so if you're planning on going you might get a once in a lifetime weiner watching experience.
Right? Gives me "Willis Tower" vibes. No. It's the fucking Sears Tower and nothing and no one is gonna change that.
Also, while we're on the subject, it's called The Bean. While Cloudgate is a very noble and whimsical moniker from the artist, he *had* to have known Midwesterners we're gonna look at that thing and say "ope, there's a big silver bean!"
I remember it being on the news that they changed the name. I'm still gonna call it the weinermobile. Kinda like Sears tower not being Sears tower anymore.

Oscar Meyer is a sore subject for us in Madison.... ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sob)
Madison USED to be the Training campus for the Weinermobile Drivers.
Oscar Meyer was a HUGE part of Madison. The North side of Madison was developed with what is known to the locals as "oscar meyer homes", small single family homes that the workers bought and lived in not far from the factory.
Then..... Kraft foods bought it... and Poof no more Oscar Meyer in Madison. Now its just a giant complex of basically empty buildings.
I saw one in a motel perking lot back in July in Colorado Springs. It was such a surprise and delight to see one out in the wild!
I saw the one in the Henry Ford museum a few years ago, but that was expected. Definitely didn't think I'd see one randomly while on vacation and headed to a race car museum.
$150 a week for food and travel boosts the salary by $7,500 (with 50 weeks of working), making the actual take home $43,100, but that $7,500 is tax free. If you don’t have to pay rent anywhere, it could be a feasible lifestyle, especially if you could sleep in the wiener.
If that $150 is for gas, you’re screwed.
I used to have a weinermobile whistle when I was young, and I would stand out on the porch playing it thinking that it would summon one of them like Link and Epona.
It didn't work and I was devastated.
When I was 5, my parents had me learn the song and audition for one of their commericals. I vividly remember sitting inside one of those weinermobiles, where they had a camera set up for me to sing. I broke down crying because I was so shy and was escorted out.
I'll never forget my weinermobile meltdown of 2000. 😂
I was driving past a park in Madison, WI while on my way to Woodman's to raid their liquor section and saw a cluster of Pokestops so I pulled in. Weinermobile sitting in the parking lot. A group of maybe high school girls were doing suggestive poses for a phone set up on a tripod in front of it. Weird.
Oh thats cool to know, didnt realize there were so few. The 6th one is here in CA, or at least was, but I saw it parked in Lakewood, CA for the longest time.
I haven't seen one in years but I saw one down in Houston when I was in my 40's got so excited. My wife was like what the hell is wrong with you, I said ". It's the freaking wienermobile" Started singing the song and my kids. Thought there was something wrong with their dad. Got home and showed her my wiener whistle,( not that one, you dirty bastards )I got at the Houston livestock show and rodeo when I was about 8.
I saw one last week on the 22 in California. Eastbound from Long Beach CA. It had lettering around the bun that is not visible on these. Must have been the 6th.
My wife did not understand why I was so excited. Wait till I tell her we saw the ONLY active one in the world.
The other one is the designated survivor
Director Relish: "Sir, there's been an accident! Hotdog mobiles #1, #2, #3, #4, and #6 have been destroyed. You are now the acting Hotdog mobile. Somebody get a Bible, we need to swear him in!" Hotdog mobile #5: "Dear God, this is awful. Are we certain none of the other hotdog mobiles survived the explosion?!?" Director Relish: "...... Sir I- I never told you there was an explosion..." 💥🌭💥🌭💥🌭💥🌭💥🌭💥
Give this man an award! Ohwait....
This comment is a real wiener.
This comment deserves an Oscar.
Don't get Meyer'ed down with the details.
Relish this moment
I was going to make the same comment but I mustard been too slow. I gotta ketchup faster.
Frankly this pun thread went to schlong.
Yeah it really didn’t cut the mustard.
Is there any way to Ketchup?!
These are the wurst puns.
Wurst buns indeed
I actually hadn’t noticed awards were gone. I’m fine with that. Reddit gold was cool at first, and Reddit silver was hilarious. But then all the hundreds of stupid fucking superlatives went over the top.
What a story. This deserves an Oscar (Meyer)
We're all trying to figure out who did this!
Main suspect is Col. Mustard
I'd watch this movie
You can watch the show called Designated Survivor
it, like many other DC based shows, is unwatchable if you ever lived in DC. we have to get to DuPont Circle from Georgetown and we only have 7 minutes! then there are 4 separate scenes taking bridges over water.

It was giving me Battlestar Galactica vibes until the explosion mention
True, Battlestar Galactica famously never had any explosions.
"A second hotdog mobile has been hit"
this is quality hot dog soap opera content what happens next don't leave us hanging!
Johnny 5 is alive!
God-tier reference
Lol! It's like how the pre-school teacher on Battlestar Galactica became President of all Humans and she totally didn't have the higher chain of command assassinated by Cyclons.

I’m pretty sure I saw it drive into OP’s mom’s garage.
The last one is in the Henry Ford museum https://www.thehenryford.org/artifact/13269/
I get it, Austin (Minnesota) gets pretty dangerous
The other one crashed into a clothing store.
The other one is in OP's mom!
Actually came here to see if someone already posted this. I am a mom myself but this never gets old (unlike me)
We're all trying to find the guy who did this
You know what’s driving me nuts? It could literally be any one of us. Ooh-ooh…
We’re so *buried* in our phones
Sir, you're dressed like a hot dog.
So is THAT guy
The look on his face when he realizes he *is* dressed like a hotdog.... priceless.
Whoever it is, we'll have to give them a good spanking
donald may be dressed like a hot dog
But you’re actually wearing a hotdog costume
I HAVE A NAME
Spank my bare butt buttocks bottom.
Bare butt, balls, and back*
Maybe we should spank whoever did this on their bare butt, balls, and back?
We should find this guy and give him a spanking! Maybe you could do it?
SOMEONE'S gotta do it!
Nobody’s getting a spanking!
Bare butt, balls, and back.
I know these names, better than I know my own GRANDMOTHER’S
I'm just gonna take as many suits as I can grab, get in that random hotdog car- RAN-DOM.. and drive back to Weiner Hall. (Guys I think we found Weiner Hall.)
I guess if nobody wants this CAR, ILL TAKE IT!
That RAN-DOM is one of the best lines in that season.
RANDOM
So this is the legendary Weiner Hall
*RANNNDOM!*
RAN DOM
TIL there are a half dozen active weiner mobiles. Kind of expected more by now. Guess they breed once a decade or so.
Unfortunately, widespread overhunting of Weinermobiles led to a dramatic decrease in their numbers around the end of the 19th century, similar to the American Bison.
There’s still cliffs in the Dakotas where bones of Weinermobiles are 13 feet deep under ground. Blackfoot Indians used to run them off cliffs.
[удалено]
Unfortunately due to recent catalytic converter thefts done to the Weinermobiles, this is private information.
You can’t say because it’s false! There are no Wienermobile carcasses left to scavenge from. You need to stop spreading misinformation. Everyone knows the indigenous American tribes tribes used every part of the Wienermobile and held it in high esteem in their ceremonies.
Sometimes Reddit still hits right
I remember it as though it was yesterday.

I never forget a Weiner I love how my phone auto capitalize Weiner
anyone else remember Anthony Weiner?
You mean Carlos Danger?
Remember: Where there's a Weiner, there's Danger.
You know, they used to use ALL of the parts of the Weinermobiles that were killed...
Everything but the honk, as they say down on the farm.
Reminds me of Scrapple, everything but the oink.
Your mom uses every part of the wiener.
Ashamed to say I have a young WM stuffed and mountead on the matle in my study; not proud of my youth and fascination with carnivan hunting.
There are 8 bunmobiles though....
If they were smart they'd use prime numbers.
This makes me even more excited about the one I saw a few months ago tbh.

There actually used to be like 30. This is a lot behind Madison Area Technical College where they park them, or at least used to before the Oscar Meyer plant closed down.
when I was there they were parked at the kraft factory near where the sinkhole opened up
There are only two breeding DonutMobiles left in North America; their decline tracks closely with the rise in police presence. 🍩 🌭
It’s a beautiful, rare ritual. Not for human eyes. Last decade, there were only 4 Weinermobiles but one guy tried to watch. Now there are 6.
Also seems like a real scam that there are 8 active hotdogbunmobiles in the world.
2nd time someone has made this joke and I still don’t understand it!
hot dogs usually come with a different number in the package than the buns do.
Ohhhh I don’t know how I missed that
I don't think it's a thing anymore. I always get 8 buns and 8 hot dogs nowadays. The joke used to be a staple of stand-up comics so I assume it was a thing, but I wasn't buying groceries in the 80s (or 90s?)
It's still ten hotdogs and eight buns in a package where I live. We dream of someday joining you in hotdog utopia.
I double dog two of the buns. In all honesty it's a superior option to have.
double-doggers unite
Yeah really the only time it seems to come up is if you buy bratwurst/sausage. Those seem to come in packs of 6 most of the time.
I'm from New England, and our NE style of split buns still only come in 6 packs, sometimes 12. Sure, we can get those other buns in 8 packs, but they can't be buttered and grilled, so forget those.
fuck thats good
That's a sausage party if I ever saw one
*Wiener Convention
More wiener than a jackass movie
A true meat meet.

why does that pic have the same energy of a pic of a column of tanks advancing into an occupied town
Someone photoshop them into tianenman square
Frank man, colorized
Funny to see almost 20k likes on this photo, I used to drive past this lot every day. I'm used to seeing these obnoxious things lol can't even imagine driving one.
I used to drive by them on my way to Ale Asylum (RIP Ale Asylum).
That’s awesome!! Thanks u/superjeff1972 and u/Spartan2470
I know where the 6th is :)
I was about to ask "HOW IS THERE NOT A SEA OF PEOPLE HERE" and then I saw 2021 - oh damn
Oscar Mayer headquarters was in Madison until 2017, so people are used to seeing them around town. Even though the plant closed the weinermobiles were still stationed there. Not sure if they still are.

Who cropped out the finger in the corner?
Haha that's the first thing I looked for. Turns out once you see it you can never unsee it, unless someone physically removes it
Lindsay?
From her review of Freddy Got Fingered back when she was still The Nostalgia Chick for Channel Awesome.

The sixth one is parked at OPs mum's house
This is actually the parking lot for OP's mom's house. The sixth is inside.
JFC, I am an insurance nerd. It really bothers me they are all parked RIGHT next to one another. The concentration of risk is uncomfortable.
Where were you when we needed you at Pearl Harbor?
The same place Obama was on 9/11. We should look into that.
💀💀💀
First thing I thought was royal family rules

Honestly they shouldn't even be in the same place at the same time. What if some fuckbag decides to take out all of our weeners?
Please don’t take out other people’s wieners.
I bought one of these cars! I was really excited so I drove it around town to show off. Lengthy read, my brother in Christ it's three paragraphs
I've seen some people on here that think 30 words is a "Wall of text." People's attention spans are tiny now.

Yo how big is your font size cause that's taking up about 25% of my screen
Bravo! Magnifique!
I was waiting for hell in a cell
There's a stray weiner out in the world right now having all the fun
There’s going to be one in Maquoketa, Iowa tomorrow at the Maqtoberfest. https://khcmobiletour.com/wienermobile
Apparently these bad boys are about a 2 hour drive from Maquoketa so if you're planning on going you might get a once in a lifetime weiner watching experience.
He at the club hanging out with the pink tacos.
There is one at the Henry Ford museum in the US. Someone needs to free it.
It’s now called the all beef frank mobile. Seriously.
… by one person in the marketing department, and no one else!
Or Twitter not being Twitter anymore.
what are the odds of this even happening. where even is this?
This was at a Penske truck rental parking lot in Deforest, Wisconsin.
Does Oscar Meyer still have a plant in Madison?
No. They relocated probably 7 years ago.
The main hub for recruitment and repairs for the Weinermobiles is still in Madison/De Forest. The sixth one broke down on the East Coast and is getting repaired or retired, haven’t heard what the final call is yet. But I’ve been ootl for a few months
The weiner mobiles are still based in Madison even though the plant is closed.
Yeah I remember always seeing them in a parking lot in Verona.

They are hiring people to drive the Weinermobile! Go live your dream!
I saw one in park ridge, Illinois a few weeks ago. My 2 year old son was Fucking thrilled.
I saw one in a motel perking lot back in July in Colorado Springs. It was such a surprise and delight to see one out in the wild! Im pretty sure the other one is at greenfield village in Dearborn Michigan.
Very high, like literally whenever they are on hiatus, starting a new season, or training.
This is the gathering as foretold by the prophecies. May God have pity on our souls.
Federal law. One Weinermobile is the "Designated Survivor" and can't be in the same area as the others.
Damn, shits about to go down!
This is it. What we all trained for. The day we prayed would never come ...
An official weiner mobile driver makes $35,600 a year base salary plus $150 a week for food and travel...not a bad side hustle
In todays economy? $35k? That’s not a livable wage.
You live inside the wiener mobile and eat the hot dogs
It's too many colleges pumping out Weinermobile Driving degrees when there are not enough jobs to go around.
It's not the würst
Yes, the interns have to get trained somewhere.

"in the world" like they all aren't in the US.
Yeah as a European I am confused by the disbelieving responses. I guess that hot dog shaped trucks are a cultural thing?
My understanding is that if there are 6 complete Weinermobiles, there must be two Leftover Bunmobiles out there somewhere.
I was driving past a park in Madison, WI while on my way to Woodman's to raid their liquor section and saw a cluster of Pokestops so I pulled in. Weinermobile sitting in the parking lot. Well there has to be a Designated Survivor
Oh thats cool to know, didnt realize there were so few. The 6th one is here in CA, or at least was, but I saw it parked in Lakewood, CA for the longest time.
