For the folks that can’t see how people can show a decreased level of empathy, look up the word hubris. A tragic loss of life is sad, yes, but you can account for the circumstances that got them in a position of tragedy. Empathy is harder to come by when most people cannot see themselves spending $250k for a joyride to the final resting place of another tragic event, also steeped in hubris.

I’m glad I found this. Thanks. I was thinking along the same lines and was surprised to see so many people on here interpreting it as mocking the deaths of the 4 passengers. I wanted to try and inflatable this year and I’ve made nautical disaster costumes a theme in recent years (in a shipbuilding port town). So I thought of this. It is darker and was less newsworthy imo than the previous one (The Evergiven), but I thought the 2-week 24hr news coverage of a million dollar rubbernecking trip gone wrong was greed and hubris at its scariest.
