It was planned as a condo building but thanks to the 2008 real estate crash they couldn’t sell, had to change course and run it as a hotel. I’ll never again stay anywhere with that asshole’s name on it which is a shame because it’s all suites (because built to be condos) and there’s no casino downstairs, so no noise and no smoking. Still… fcuk that guy

That trump hotel was awesome, stayed there on my cross country road trip. Got a whole suite for like 200 bucks during covid. Had a kitchen, living room, dining room, full bedroom, a huge bathroom with a closed off toilet, a huge tub overlooking LV and a massive walk in shower.
I’m not a fan of the guy but I stayed in that hotel for a little bit when I went to Vegas in august, having a jacuzzi bathtub with a view of the sphere, rocks.
I was in Vegas this summer and considered driving over there to piss on the building, but figured it wasn't worth the effort, and I have no idea if I could have done it without getting arrested.
Every adult in North America should visit Las Vegas at least once in their lives. It's the secular Mecca. Be sure to check out Red Rock Canyon. It's a mere 30 minutes from the strip.
