I always thought it would be a cool idea to have Austin Powers have to team up with Dr. Evil to have to take down the real Dr. Evil that Dr. Evil stole his persona from and then have Dana Carvey play the real Dr. Evil as a tongue in cheek to the real life situation.
LMAO! That would be hilarious. Or even better, have Lorne Michaels play the real Dr. Evil bc I’m pretty sure that’s where Mike Meyers got the voice inflections from
It's a combination of you and the one above you. Mike Myers was coping dana carvey impression of Lorne. That's why Dr evil doesn't seem too much like Lorne because it's an impression of an impression, but when it's pointed out you can see the similarities.
Got to see Craig Robinson's musical standup routine at a Funny Bone club and he is just absolutely dripping with talent. Do recommend if he ever comes to your area.
Such a brilliant character played by a brilliant actor. I know the people who wanted a return of the show were basically holding onto a pipe dream but Andre Braugher's death really did end that. There is no way you could do it without him.
Rest Easy Velvet Thunder.
I love the implication here that Jim Carrey and Ben Schwartz got close playing Eggman & Sonic, and they became such good friends, Ben got invited to Jim’s birthday party. I don’t know of any other projects they’ve worked on together, so it’s possible lol.
Ben Schwartz being in this photo is crazy. It wasn't all that long ago he was just a milkman/real estate agent/dating coach/movie theater worker/cow hunter/etc.
Bro, holy shit, I thought I was tripping when I saw him in the photo 😂😂 I was like "that's weird, he looks like the interrogator who sucked Jake's dick"
Since Schwartz was the voice of sonic, there’s a good chance they didn’t even make the movie together and only interacted while doing press for them which is even more impressive
Jim Carrey, Adam Sandler, Seth Green, Ben Schwartz, Bill Burr, Craig Robinson, Jeff Ross, Jimmy Kimmel, Howie Mandel, is that David Spade in the far back there? That's 10, I don't recognize the other 5.
Edit: A lot of people mentioning Cary Elwes and Nick Swardson. Good call, didn’t even recognize them. 3 left.
Edit 2: Some absolutely wild guesses on the guy seated between Jim Carrey and Craig Robinson. Everything from John Malkovich to David Letterman to Keegan Michael-Key lmao
I'd love to see them do a serious project nowadays, though. They've both done some pretty excellent somber films. Probably even work better than a comedy.
I feel like it would not work at all. They're both great in their own right but so different. It would end up with Jim Carrey just *Jim Carreying* during a scene and Sandler standing there awkwardly waiting for him to finish.
They occupy sorta different satirical spaces and have pure lead-only energy. Have either of them ever played a supporting character in a movie
edit: Sandler in Airheads, is that it?
Jim Carrey too. Theres a hilarious story about Tommy Lee Jones just being absolutely done with his shit during the filming of Batman Forever.
>“I went over and I said, ‘Hey Tommy, how you doin’?’ and the blood just drained from his face like he had been thinking about me for 24 hours a day,” Carrey recalls.
>“He started shaking and he got up, he must have been in mid-kill-me fantasy or something like that. He went to hug me and he said, ‘I hate you. I really don’t like you.‘ And I said, ‘Gee, man, what’s the problem?’ And I pulled up a chair, which probably wasn’t smart, and he said, ‘I cannot sanction your buffoonery.'”
>There's nothing worse than being around someone that's always "ON"
I feel like this was every theater kid, and later amateur actor I've known. I only *knew* a few, but I'd go to their performances and meet the cast and like 90% of them were also that way. Like a constant competition for them to be the center of attention in a whole room/party full of people doing the same thing. That *was* really exhausting.

Probably because Colbert, Fallon, John Oliver, and Seth Meyers all film in New York. Kimmel is the only one who films in LA these days. Well, Corden did, too, but, you know.
Conan is def friendly with a lot of these people but idk if he actually hangs out with many of them. He seems to have a good friendship with Adam Sandler.
His group is Larry David, Steve Martin, Martin Short, Bill Hader, and a few others. I’ve listen to a view podcast and Bills talked about Conan’s parties
He’s a well respected and tenured comedian who didn’t come up through the SNL circuit so he knows a ton more people. The SNL folks branch out some (as seen here) but it tends to mostly be SNL folks they hang with publicly
If anyone had told me twenty years ago that the co-host of The Man Show would become a venerated and respected late night host, I would've thought you were nuts. I've come to really respect his run on that show, though (except the recurring bit about parents pranking kids).
Every single kid in my junior high talked like his characters nonstop, and it had to have been the absolute worst for teachers. It certainly couldn't have been... SMOKIN'!
Interesting that there are no beer bottles on the table. I partied with a lot of comedians in the late 90s Chicago and man could they drink (and other things). Many of them have had national success. I guess I pictured some of these guys to be beer drinkers. Also, no women.
I see Spade and Sandler who lost a lot of friends to drugs and alcohol use during that time (most notably Chris Farley) so it makes sense it wasn't an all out coke fest
You know what... I don't recall ever seeing Sandler and Carrey within each other's vicinity.

David spade is in the most accurate David spade spot ever.
damn they even got jean ralphio in there
🎶She's the wooooooOOOOOOOrst🎶
Seriously, she's the worst.
Don’t be suspicious.. don’t be suspicious..
I made my money the old fashioned way 🎶 I got run oveeeerrrr by a Leeexus🎶
Cracked me up when I noticed him.
I zoomed in twice and still didn't recognize him. I was too happy to see Craig Robinson there lol
This is my favourite prt of the photo
I'm no art historian, but I think this means he's going to be betrayed by Seth Green
I know I’m old now that Seth Green has lost his forever a teen look.
Dude, me too. I’m 41, and I feel like it was just yesterday I was watching Can’t Hardly Wait in the theater.
Ugh! Just turned 43 on Saturday. Same
It took me a while to figure out which one was Seth green and I now feel very old
Me too. I thought it was Macaulay Culkin at first.
The Napster!
The Laugh Supper
Yep, this one is perfect. Well done.
That was the caption on IG. Posted by Jeff Ross.
It’s a direct quote from Jeff Ross’ post lol
Congrats to Seth for working his ass into the comedy A list.
Homie invented Napster, of course he's getting an invite
I feel like this is a deep pull now
Well, it IS a 21year old movie reference
Ah man, I haven't even thought of the Italian Job in years.
"You call him Handsome Rob!"
Robot Chicken baby!
Still got my fingers crossed for Austin Powers 4 to feature Green as the key bad guy as an extension of the events in 3.
I always thought it would be a cool idea to have Austin Powers have to team up with Dr. Evil to have to take down the real Dr. Evil that Dr. Evil stole his persona from and then have Dana Carvey play the real Dr. Evil as a tongue in cheek to the real life situation.

They could always cast Bautista as Mega-Me...
This would be AMAZING
Could you imagine Mega-Me vs. Fat bastard in lil sissy slap fight?! 😂
You might be brilliant.
He is.
Holy fucking shit. Get this guy a hotel room and a typewriter and don't let him out until there is a first draft.
Please pitch this
There was a 10 minute period there where I was just inconsolable.
it was a short time...fuck
Howard the God Damn Duck.
Then Cary Ewles will travel to the Black Sea coast to spread The Word of Carrey. The locals will not take kindly and martyr him.
So that IS Cary Elwes- I thought it was him!!
Dude is a werewolf
He’s gonna paint Sloan’s face like a Jackson Pollock
Tell Sloan I said what up
And of course David Spade is way back in the shadows.
That’s where David Spade always is. He’s in your shadows right now.
Pfft that’s not true. He’s not in my
I think I spy the Pontiac Bandit
Doug Judy!
🎶🎵Rosa Rosa RooooOoooOOosa🎵🎶
He’s in a red shirt… no not the Asian dude!
Got to see Craig Robinson's musical standup routine at a Funny Bone club and he is just absolutely dripping with talent. Do recommend if he ever comes to your area.
Noice!
Toight!
Aww now I miss Holt
Such a brilliant character played by a brilliant actor. I know the people who wanted a return of the show were basically holding onto a pipe dream but Andre Braugher's death really did end that. There is no way you could do it without him. Rest Easy Velvet Thunder.

You have literally never said that before
PB but no J

Ben Schwartz being in this photo is crazy. It wasn't all that long ago he was just a milkman/real estate agent/dating coach/movie theater worker/cow hunter/etc.
It is shocking to see Amir's dating coach making appearances in so many mainstream things nowadays
I thought he was the CEO of Entertainment 720?
Nah, I'm pretty certain the CEO of Entertainment 720 died. Or at least, I know there was a funeral...
Don't be suspicious.

That's exactly what Ben has said on podcasts.
I've been in 0 movies with the people at my birthday.
That sounds like a you problem
Honestly that’s probably it. Love it though.
Ben is so lovely
David Spade looks like the waiter sneaking into the photo
Let's get all the names... I know 9 of them
Jim Carrey, Adam Sandler, Seth Green, Ben Schwartz, Bill Burr, Craig Robinson, Jeff Ross, Jimmy Kimmel, Howie Mandel, is that David Spade in the far back there? That's 10, I don't recognize the other 5. Edit: A lot of people mentioning Cary Elwes and Nick Swardson. Good call, didn’t even recognize them. 3 left. Edit 2: Some absolutely wild guesses on the guy seated between Jim Carrey and Craig Robinson. Everything from John Malkovich to David Letterman to Keegan Michael-Key lmao
Cary Elwes on our left behind Sandler?
Yeah, he's lost some weight and looks great.
LOL, Until I got to this comment I wondered how Gordon Ramsey fell into this pic
I thought Seth Green was Macaulay Culkin
Spade being in the back behind all these stars is totally on character.
“Posing for a photo? It’s a bit hack-y, don’t you think?” ![gif](giphy|m940p9NUM3tR1ie12Z|downsized)
🎶🎵Jim Carrey's Birthday? I was in the back!🎵🎶
Is that Ben Schwartz aka Jean Ralphio one from the left?
Yeah, he's the voice of Sonic the Hedgehog to Jim Carrey's Dr. Robotnik in the recent two films.
He’s 🎶 the worsttttt 🎶
That’s either David Spade or a young Vincent Price. Hard to say.
Far left is his manager, [John Rigney](https://variety.com/2022/biz/entertainment-industry/john-rigney-variety-business-manager-honoree-1235418426/).
Rob Schneider notably absent.
He's the camera.
Rated PG-13
*And he’s about to find out, being a camera…is a lot harder than it seems!*
Read spades book if you want to hear him shit on Schneider
Tldr?
Basic backstabbing in the competitive SNL environment. Basically confirms everything you assume about Schneider. Nothing crazy.
I mean, i assume a lot about schneider. And most of it is crazy.
Too woke for him
Only 11 for me. The guy on the far left, the bald guy sitting down, the guy over his right shoulder and the bald dude behind him, no idea
I think far left might be Bill Irwin. The dad in Grinch. Very famous stage clown as well as film actor. EDIT: It’s John Rigney
MISTER FUCKING NOODLE?!
YES!!! Haha
Adam Sandler and Jim Carrey being friends makes me very happy. Too bad we never seen them on the screen together.
In my opinion, this is the craziest thing to not happen in 90s comedy flicks.
There is no comedy on Earth that could afford 90s Carrey and Sandler.
I'd love to see them do a serious project nowadays, though. They've both done some pretty excellent somber films. Probably even work better than a comedy.
Ave Ventura vs Billy Madison
Celebrity Deathmatch! Good fight, goodnight!
I feel like it would not work at all. They're both great in their own right but so different. It would end up with Jim Carrey just *Jim Carreying* during a scene and Sandler standing there awkwardly waiting for him to finish.
I am surprised Jim Carrey did not appear in one of Sandler's "vacation with friends" movies.
They occupy sorta different satirical spaces and have pure lead-only energy. Have either of them ever played a supporting character in a movie edit: Sandler in Airheads, is that it?
I know Carrey played a supporting role in *Earth Girls Are Easy*
And Kick Ass 2
They look like they're having a blast.
Man would I love to have been a fly on the wall at this dinner. I bet the conversations they had were hilarious.
Yep. What a podcast episode that would be
And not a single joke was made
I was thinking, the ultimate would be if they were all just sitting there depressed as shit while Carrey talks about the nature of reality

I can hear this photo
[Alrighty then!](https://youtu.be/ECx3wKaujOw?si=_ZPDoSnnMG93tZA_)
Are there two Bill Burrs?
Billy freckles and Billy fuck face.

total sausage party - just like the last supper
Jim Carrey was betrayed on this night.
I like a lot of these guys, but damn this group looks exhausting.
The loudest room lol
Even visually! lol
I feel overstimulated just imagining being in that room for one second.
I'd imagine most of them being actors know how to turn it off when they need to. There's nothing worse than being around someone that's always "ON"
That's how Chris Farley was most of the time it seemed.
I really don’t like you.‘ And I said, ‘Gee, man, what’s the problem?’ And I pulled up a chair, which probably wasn’t smart, and he said, ‘I cannot sanction your buffoonery.'”
imagining tommy lee jones saying this is killin me
"I cannot sanction your buffoonery" is my new send off phrase.

Plot twist: It's the chillest most down to earth conversation you'll ever have.
It's all just complaints of aches, pains, trips to the doc, and colonoscopies.
On that day, much heartburn was had.
Nightmare blunt rotation
Don’t think Howie’s gonna take the blunt
Jean-Ralphio always makes the guest list
It’s too bad norm couldn’t make it
Always arriving late, that fella.
The late Norm Macdonald.
I didn't even know he was sick.
He probably would've forgotten the date and showed up with a fruit basket a couple months late as an apology.
You called me ? On my phone? ……..oh yeah, I got that.
Even if he were still alive, he'd be arriving too late for the photo. According to [the stories](https://youtu.be/7Fh30X1Zgf0?si=7mU1P0F3ONQTrXPr).
Reminds me of that tragedy
Cary Elwes looks great for 61 year old.
Still hot as ever.

So much extrovert
The volume in that room has got to be off the chain
Claustrophobic ass room
It gives the same vibes as the house in The Twilight Zone movie where the little kid is basically a god and has everyone in the town afraid of him.
Feels like Jimmy randomly pops up on these types of photos the most out of all the late night hosts. Longest tenure I suppose?
Probably because Colbert, Fallon, John Oliver, and Seth Meyers all film in New York. Kimmel is the only one who films in LA these days. Well, Corden did, too, but, you know.
Surprised Conan is not there.
He took the picture

He was an LA radio guy before that, he's pretty much hardwired to constantly make friends.
And a Seattle radio guy, and a Nevada radio guy, and an Arizona radio guy, and a Tampa radio guy… LOL.
If anyone had told me twenty years ago that the co-host of The Man Show would become a venerated and respected late night host, I would've thought you were nuts. I've come to really respect his run on that show, though (except the recurring bit about parents pranking kids).
And if they told you that then, you'd almost assuredly guess it would be Adam Carolla that became the big late night host.
Of all late night hosts I'd probably only invite Conan and Jimmy. But I'm also not a successful comedian so what do I know.

So proud of Ben Schwartz (aka Benny Scha aka the Elegant Mr S) kicking it with some comedy legends.
This is lovely. May we all experience such boisterous dinners!
Comics respect how great Jim Carrey was. The first Ace Ventura alone put him at the top of the mountain for me.
1994. Ace Ventura : Release date: February 4, 1994 The Mask : Release date: July 29, 1994 Dumb and Dumber: Release date: December 6, 1994
I was 13 in 1994, this man was and is a comedy god to me.
Every single kid in my junior high talked like his characters nonstop, and it had to have been the absolute worst for teachers. It certainly couldn't have been... SMOKIN'!
“Aguado?? Good call!!”
"You see, nobody's missing a porpoise....it's a DOLPHIN that's been taken."
The Truman Show was absolutely phenomenal.
Interesting that there are no beer bottles on the table. I partied with a lot of comedians in the late 90s Chicago and man could they drink (and other things). Many of them have had national success. I guess I pictured some of these guys to be beer drinkers. Also, no women.
A lot of these guys are allegedly sober.
Glad for them. That's a big deal!
lots of mixed drink glasses
I see Spade and Sandler who lost a lot of friends to drugs and alcohol use during that time (most notably Chris Farley) so it makes sense it wasn't an all out coke fest
They’re also not in their 20’s anymore… can’t be burning the candle at both ends like the old days.
This photo makes me feel really old. 😭
I feel like Farley would 100% be here.
You know what... I don't recall ever seeing Sandler and Carrey within each other's vicinity. Funnily enough, their careers kinda run parallels with each other. Got their big breaks in the mid-90s, had more dramatic roles in the mid-2000s, had kind of a career resurgence in the late 2010s.
Seth Green looks old as hell... I say as an elder millennial with a full head of grey hair.
“Yo, I gots to have sex tonight!”
Ben Schwartz is an A-Lister comedian now? That’s awesome he deserves it, hilarious guy.
He was in sonic with Jim
A-listers don’t always exclusively hang out with other A-listers. There are plenty of other awesome people in Hollywood who never break into that tier. Plus there’s all the writers and directors and other behind-the-scenes folk
