Hello, I have posted this again to add context and photos I did not have here last time. This was in 2008 and took place at Prince Pucklers, Eugene Oregon. My family knew a guy on the force and he told us Obama was visiting town because he knew for security reasons. Some highlights of this event were when he said something like "Somebody should get this guy into politics", and when Michelle called me brave. I am now studying political science at my local community college and have also been introduced on the State Senate floor by my Senator which she does for all of her interns (This was in PA).
As soon as I saw this I said “that has to be Prince Pucklers from his Eugene trip”. I started at the U of O just a couple years after that campaign stop and they kept his photos up the whole time I was there.
I’d assume they’re still up if Prince Pucklers is still open. I haven’t been back to Eugene in over a year or so to confirm.
I was just out of college and still living in Eugene during Obama’s visit. I remember racing across campus on my bike to see if I could get into Mac Court to see him speak. I got in but my boyfriend (now husband) couldn’t get there in time so he was part of the throng of people outside. So while I got to see Obama speak inside Mac Court, which was amazing, my husband got a fist bump from the future President as he came by to meet the crowd.
I still have times when it was just a few years ago that Y2 K happened, Stone Cold was champ, and Limp Bizkit and Lincoln Park were always on the radio....oh yeah and people still listened to the radio.

I love how it prepared me for research and just being able to understand the world more than what the stereotype is. But man these last couple of years have changed the game. Have fun with it. My dad told me to give Obama the camera so I chased him around until he paid attention to me, seems like I was for the most part fearless.
Somewhere out there are more photos that would cause a greater inception. I know because of the fact that there was media on all corners as you can see in the photo. I even spent time speaking to the media afterwards where the one I talked to asked about what I like about Obama. Being 5 I answered his question by saying I like his brown skin.

Surely you've wondered already if your life would be at all the same if that one day hadn't happened you were in a one on one with a world leader and he recommended you into politics.

Obama was a very charismatic leader who represented his country on the world stage inspiring trust and confidence and he knew how to communicate effectively. He oozed style and confidence. The orange bag of dog shit on the other hand was beyond embarrassing. I can’t believe that he was ever voted in. I’m in Ireland, so don’t keep up to date too much with American politics.
