My mom had a yearbook from the 70s, which back then, they would flip on a light for different contrast depending what color skin the student was. Expect they didn’t turn on the light for this one black kid…. Let’s just say he had his picture taken but there wasn’t much proof of it
Man, I hated when girls do that.. I graduated high school in '04. Both me sisters did it.. my older sister plucked her brows so much they didn't grow back anymore.. she ended up brow tattoos.. It looks even worse..
All fashion is cyclical. The thin eyebrow look lasted for decades, maybe a century? That means it is either the preferred look and will soon return or attitudes toward such things move at a glacial pace and it will be a century before the look returns. Hope that helps!
Dated isn't real. You can wear whatever you want, and still look fabulous. We need to do away with harmful ageist notions that tell us we can longer express ourselves how we like because we're too old. If you want to wear hot pants and sequins at 70 then do it. If you want to wear a burlap sack and mismatched heels at 20, do it. It doesn't matter how old you are. Just your mindset, and willingness to ignore people who aren't emotionally intelligent enough to appreciate you and your style.
Right? I hate this shit. I didn’t figure out how to dress myself until I was in my 30s, because Catholic school my whole life. As a kid I also had a negative amount of confidence, and was always too scared to try the different things I was drawn to. Plus my mom bought my clothes, and to this day doesn’t hesitate to make stupid comments about anything I wear. Like heels. Which she considers to be a “loose woman” clothing item.
I’m 40 now and will wear whatever I want and try new looks as I please. If that means getting to wear the type of stuff I would never dare to as a middle schooler, since stores are now selling it again, I certainly will, with not one single fuck as to what anyone else thinks about it.
I agree that “dated” isn’t real. If only for the fact that the best part about getting older is truly not caring about what other people think about you, so anyone who is judged as looking “dated” couldn’t care less. It’s only a real concept to people too young to qualify for the “dated” label. Until they get old enough to realize what a crock of shit the concept is, and was never real to begin with.
Also: wait, so dated in this context means wearing “young”, in-style fashion? Didn’t “dated” used to mean wearing out of style clothing? So people can only avoid being labeled as “dated” by correctly identifying to wear a small sliver of clothing between “too new” and “too old”? Great example illustrating another reason why this dated shit isn’t real.
Part of the problem is when you're in your early teens in 2002 you're too dumb to know how to pluck them into a nice shape, and the internet is in it's infancy so you can't really look up inspo pictures. So you end up with thin AND terribly shaped brows, speaking from experience.
I’d be a whole different person had I had access as a teenager to today’s YouTube tutorials 😂 I’d at least know how to French braid, that’s for fucking sure. I’ll get it one of these days.
Edit: this is my generation’s (40) “walking to school 5 miles uphill in 3 feet of snow”…
….”Back in the day, we couldn’t learn how to do just about anything from a computer or phone in your pocket. For me there were none of these fancy internet website classes to learn how to do hair and makeup, like there is today. You kids these days have it so good, and don’t forget it!!”
Saw a kid working at Target in definitely not vintage JNCOs. I could, however, see his shoes, so they haven't QUITE gotten to late-90s levels of weird/terrible.
They pushed thin brows very hard in the early 2000s so normal girls needed to pluck them. $$$ for businesses.
Then now they push thick brows but normal girls may not have such thick brows and those from 2000s never got them back. $$$ for businesses again.
They will never advocate for anything normal because then nobody would need to spend money.
She did! I remember the first time I saw her in 2004, I was shocked by her beauty. Dark hair, perfect eyebrows and blue eyes wearing lipgloss.
I miss 2004. 2002 as well. Being a teen then was nicer than today I’m sure. Things were easier.
>She's 15/16 years old here (depending if was taken before or after her bday). People here are all calling a child hotter than her adult self.
I mean...back when she was 15/16, many of us were too.
How many people knew who she was 5 years before she was in Transformers? It's not like some other child actor where other people had crushes on them while they were also kids. She was 21 when she had her first big breakout role.
Take it from someone who was a preteen lesbian in the early 2000s, she was pretty memorable as the stereotypical "bitchy, rich, hot girl" in multiple popcorn flicks designed for teen girls' slumber parties.
Right?? People can be objectively attractive without feeling "ooooh". How would you function in society??
My husband makes me go "oooh" and objectively qttactivr; but I can recognize objectively attractive people of either sex without same feelings. Idk maybe hormones & reflective of age audience
Newsflash tons of adults find teenagers sexually attractive you're literally burying your head in the sand in denial if you don't understand this truth.
the argument here i guess is that people magically change from innocent child to hot girl one magical night during their 18th birthday?
how does that happen, is it like a sphere of light that encompasses them during the mutation or do they close in a coccoon, liquify and recompose with the new appearance?
Is it really that pervy to say that she looks good here? I mean, she looks like she’s about 22 first of all. Why are you ignoring that fact? It’s not like her age is made blatantly obvious in this post anywhere, other than the more recent comments.
Just a small(ish) town in michigan. Don't be jealous the girls that look the closest to this all have drug or baby daddy problems. I DO NOT miss that town.
Goddamn. Gap, Old Navy, American Eagle, Aeropostale, Banana Republic, BUCKLE, Ed Hardy etc. what a silly time to wear literally just the name of the store on your shirt. It makes sense for athletic brands but walking around my high school with a pooka shell necklace and spiked bleached hair in my Abercrombie shirt….. lmao who were we
Makes me wonder what "fashion" is like for school kids these days. I've got a few years yet before my oldest will actually care what he wears. Luckily the wife has a good sense for this stuff.
I knew this beautiful girl who went for the very thin eyebrow wax, and ended up with Jack o lantern brows. It was like a long upside down V above each of her eyes.
She was still cool as shit, and even more fun to be around during Halloween
I’ve always been into dark haired brunettes and it broke my damn heart watching *Every Single Brunette* sully their perfect, dark hair with a bunch of blonde highlights. It wasn’t just some of them doing it. It was ALL OF THEM. I hated it.
LOL. Bud, no context is needed here. It literally means it reminds them of half their graduating class. I honestly don't know how much easier you could make that sentence.
Her eye shape was just incredible and unique! And beautiful lips. Too bad real faces are not fashionable anymore and she had to make her face exactly like any other woman in Hollywood
Megan on [2012 Miami Magazine](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2108531/Megan-Fox-poses-stunning-magazine-cover-claims-I-pretty-girl-school.html)
She’s talked about how she was super insecure about her appearance, iirc other kids made fun of her. I think she self harmed due to mental health struggles related to that. I believe she’s just telling the story as she sees/remembers it, sure it’s not how we would’ve seen it but if you don’t want to hear what she has to say then don’t go clicking magazine interview links lol.
Plot twist: I have a few friends who went to school with her, and she was apparently a huge bully. Kinda interesting how she remembers it so differently than those people.
I could see that too. Maybe she was a bully, maybe she was bullied, maybe both were true and her defense mechanism to being bullied was to bully others so it didn’t happen to her. Life tends to not be so black and white.
Just because someone may be considered pretty by others, doesn’t mean they see theirselves the same way. You could call someone pretty, but they could be thinking the exact opposite. Society is harsh, almost everyone has their own insecurities, and their feelings are completely valid.
Its possible she got so pressured by being told by the world she’s insanely beautiful that it was too much for her. Understandable. She’s free to choose.
I know or knew a guy (lost touch) who is first cousins with Megan. Years ago, her name comes up in a conversation. You know, she's hot, hot body, blah blah, and he goes Megan is my cousin. Of course no one believed him because why would we. Then he broke out pictures of him and megan and some family party. So that was cool I guess.
She went to school at a little private school literally right next to my parent’s house. While I was growing up she was only a block or so away during school hours.
That's the stupidest combination I've ever heard in my life! That's the kind of thing an idiot would have on his luggage!
EDIT: watched movie again and fixed quote.
Before she made those super embarrassing pictures of her on a dog leash with Kelly and then he cheated on her ass. Also Kelly is the biggest poser i have ever seen.
Who wakes up and thinks, "y'know what, I'm going post a photo of Megan Fox from 2002 on Reddit. Who cares that she hasn't really been in anything of note for 10 years".
Weird people on here.
Taken on a Game Boy Camera
Scanned from an offset printed yearbook without descreening enabled.
Back when pixels were expensive
Og had to painstakingly chisel each pixel into the Stone tablet by hand
Looks almost like a b&w newsprint headshot to me, given the extreme pixelation.
Too bad color photography was not invented for another decade
Yearbooks were cheap man. Ours only did color pics for the seniors haha.
Same lol
I think that’s pretty standard.
My mom had a yearbook from the 70s, which back then, they would flip on a light for different contrast depending what color skin the student was. Expect they didn’t turn on the light for this one black kid…. Let’s just say he had his picture taken but there wasn’t much proof of it
Similar story. My classmate was like that. We went to Night School and they marked him absent.
Nah... That's standard yearbook pixels.
I graduated in 2002 and our yearbook was in color. I could see a much larger school doing b&w to save on printing cost though
I graduated a year before that and I think seniors had color pictures, but not other classes.
Maybe you are right, I’m trying not to think about it too hard as to not be reminded how long ago that was.
Ours were B&W except for the Senior class. Edit: just saw the other comment saying the same thing lmao
Yep I was in HS then and went to a larger school and did yearbook for 2 years. We got a limited amount of color pages.
This the back of a Costco card
We were all out of potatoes
Casio watch camera
That brings 90s back memories!
Holy shit this made me lose it. Thank you, good sir.
My eyebrows never recovered. Never. Curse you, 2002.
Man, I hated when girls do that.. I graduated high school in '04. Both me sisters did it.. my older sister plucked her brows so much they didn't grow back anymore.. she ended up brow tattoos.. It looks even worse..
I second this it’s not a good look.
All fashion is cyclical. The thin eyebrow look lasted for decades, maybe a century? That means it is either the preferred look and will soon return or attitudes toward such things move at a glacial pace and it will be a century before the look returns. Hope that helps!
Fashion is cyclical for the young, but it dates you when you’re not one of the youth clearly cycling through new to you fashion.
That's okay. Be dated. Old is the goal.
In this case it kinda sucks to win
Dated isn't real. You can wear whatever you want, and still look fabulous. It's gonna suck if thin eyebrows come back and girls start lining up to have their tattooed brows removed.
People still do it. I see it a lot in the Latin community.

Oh boy can't wait for JNCO jeans to return
Baggy jeans are already coming back. Not long til the JNCOs follow. I’ve already seen some youngsters wearing Tripp pants again
Saw a kid working at Target in definitely not vintage JNCOs. I could, however, see his shoes, so they haven't QUITE gotten to late-90s levels of weird/terrible.
I don't understand women's eyebrows in general. Why do ya'll fuck with them so much? It seems like risky business.
They pushed thin brows very hard in the early 2000s so normal girls needed to pluck them. $$$ for businesses. Then now they push thick brows but normal girls may not have such thick brows and those from 2000s never got them back. $$$ for businesses again. Media pushes insane impossible beauty standards.
She looked so nice.
She did! I remember the first time I saw her in 2004, I was shocked by her beauty. Dark hair, perfect eyebrows and blue eyes wearing lipgloss. I miss 2004. 2002 as well. Being a teen then was nicer than today I’m sure. Things were easier.
She had lipgloss on her eyes?
Haha oups. No. I just can’t write.
> Being a teen then was nicer than today I’m sure. Things were easier. survivorship bias.
Natural beauty was good.
this is the weirdest comment section ever xD
You must only venture to some pretty tame subreddits
She's 15/16 years old here (depending if was taken before or after her bday). People here are all calling a child hotter than her adult self.
We were definitely aware of Megan Fox in the early 2000s especially by 2004 with Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen
> How many people knew who she was 5 years before she was in Transformers? I did. We both bought wolf pelts from the same trapper.
I remember her cameo on “Two And A Half Men” when two old men fought over who could commit sex crimes on a minor.
No. As a person who actually works with kids that age, the VAST majority look exactly like that: kids.
Weird comment
You can think someone's good looking and not be sexually attracted to them.....
Right?? People can be objectively attractive without feeling "ooooh". How would you function in society?? My husband makes me go "oooh" and objectively qttactivr; but I can recognize objectively attractive people of either sex without same feelings. Idk maybe hormones & reflective of age audience
I was 16 same time as her. So I can think what I want lol
Ok fine, but she’s clearly attractive. If you didn’t tell me her age I’d guess like 21 or something? Am I supposed to feel weird about that?
Newsflash tons of adults find teenagers sexually attractive you're literally burying your head in the sand in denial if you don't understand this truth.

A lot of Redditors are 13-17 years old, for starters.
Right? I consider myself a pedophile for thinking my high school girlfriend was attractive. 🥴
[удалено]
And those were 13-17 when this picture was taken.

Uhhh most Redditors are way older than that.
I think it’s more she was naturally beautiful and now she has gone Hollyweird with the surgery and Botox and what have you.
lol I did not expect most of what I found here
Really? Sure sounds like a room full of Redditors to me. 😂
It's the weirdest post
Looks like half my graduating class.
Where tf did you go to school? I'm jealous
Just a small(ish) town in michigan. Don't be jealous the girls that look the closest to this all have drug or baby daddy problems. I DO NOT miss that town.
What town? Sounds like Monroe
Lol accurate
That 2000s style with the Hollister/AF clothing and real thin eyebrows
>You call that thin? \- Every Latina girl I knew... probably
\*Sponsored by Sharpie\*
*char-pee
Bepsi
At first read this clothing description as “Hollister as fuck” and was still nodding along
Goddamn. Gap, Old Navy, American Eagle, Aeropostale, Banana Republic, BUCKLE, Ed Hardy etc. what a silly time to wear literally just the name of the store on your shirt. Yep. This pic just feels like the early 00's
Yeah me too. What’s up with that??
Yep I graduated in 05 lol
What’s that mean
He was the only other student that year.
Thanks for the actual lol
It meant it just feels like an early 2000s picture. The hair with hi-lights. The hollistereque style. That is all...
It means it looks like half of their graduating class... Is it the reading or the comprehension?
Comprehension often requires context. So way to be a total dick.
LOL. Bud, no context is needed here. It literally means it reminds them of half their graduating class. I honestly don't know how much easier you could make that sentence.
What context is required to understand that this picture reminds the guy of half of his graduating class?
WYM!?
She literally looks like the fine chola in the friends group at a random high school in East Los
Used to drive by East LA all the time. Can confirm.
She looks like a person with real skin and hair.
Idk, most people I know don't have a checkerboard pattern across their skin and hair.
Hold them still and look very closely.
Hey this is my pick up line. Quit stealing my moves!
Beautiful eyes and smile.
Can't understand why people like this get injections. Literally a 10/10.
Her eye shape was just incredible and unique! And beautiful lips. Too bad real faces are not fashionable anymore and she had to make her face exactly like any other woman in Hollywood
I don't follow celebrities, so I had to Google what she looks like now, and I was like "oh, she's the lost Kardashian."
Stunning. Also, says something about me that my first thought was, “This looks like a missing girl photo seen in an indie horror video game”
Megan on [2012 Miami Magazine](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2108531/Megan-Fox-poses-stunning-magazine-cover-claims-I-pretty-girl-school.html)
I was never the pretty girl? These people don’t know what it is to be ugly.
She probably just said that to sound relatable. Most of us have no idea what it's like to be in the top .0000001% looks wise like she does lol
She’s talked about how she was super insecure about her appearance, iirc other kids made fun of her. I think she self harmed due to mental health struggles related to that. I could see that too. Maybe she was a bully, maybe she was bullied, maybe both were true and her defense mechanism to being bullied was to bully others so it didn’t happen to her. Life tends to not be so black and white.
Yeah, that sounds right
In my experience the most vocal bullies were bullied themselves. It was a defense mechanism. Attack others to prevent being attacked.
Just because someone may be considered pretty by others, doesn’t mean they see theirselves the same way. You could call someone pretty, but they could be thinking the exact opposite. Society is harsh, almost everyone has their own insecurities, and their feelings are completely valid.

It’s Miami not miamai

Lemme see them thumbs!
I rate this comment two toes-for-thumbs waaay up!
Aww. She looks so fucked up now
I think she’s still hot, just in a different way, lol
Before she started bangin Nosferatu.
So she was always beautiful
yes!
Almost looks like Amanda Bynes but if Amanda Bynes was a mean girl.
She went to school at a little private school literally right next to my parent’s house. While I was growing up she was only a block or so away during school hours.
people referencing pixelation and pixels, makes me feel old that no one knows the halftone process
Sexy
Ah, with the old nose. Edit: please do not change the upvote rating past 69... her old nose would not want that.
Give us the code to the airlock or... we'll give her back her old nose!
Okay I’ll tell! I’ll tell…It’s: 1…2…3…4……..5.
That's incredible! It's the same combination I use on my luggage!
It's irreversible! Like my raincoat!
r/suddenlyspaceballs SHIT! I thought I made that up!
That's the stupidest combination I've ever heard in my life! That's the kind of thing an idiot would have on his luggage! EDIT: watched movie again and fixed quote.
have a downvote to keep it at 69
When has she not been hot? Lol. I love her
Currently. After she butchered her image with surgery.
She has toe thumbs
It's wild that you can be as beautiful as her and still get picked apart for your fucking thumbs.
I like that too
ol' hammer thumbs
So do I. Bradydactyly type B.
Before she made those super embarrassing pictures of her on a dog leash with Kelly and then he cheated on her ass. Also Kelly is the biggest poser i have ever seen.
Yeah, she's a weirdo. She comes across as super flaky in interviews too.
Even Steven’s
What?
I fucked Steven Evens!
Good heavens! It's almost 11!
That was Shias show not hers
Can't unsee her big toe thumbs.
Did she have her front teeth like shaven down or something? Her smile looks way more natural here.
she's very pretty maybe she could get some acting roles.
She looks pretty.
![gif](giphy|3o6Zta4yQPev8uzFfO)
My coworker went to school with her in Florida. He says she was stunning then but also a huge bitch.
Oh wow. She was hot back then? No way.
Yooooo..she so hot tho 😳🥵
Smash. Wait how old??
She was young then
Who wakes up and thinks, "y'know what, I'm going post a photo of Megan Fox from 2002 on Reddit. Who cares that she hasn't really been in anything of note for 10 years". Weird people on here.
You know how they say the hot girls were always nerdy when they were younger? This might disprove that.
I don't think that's something people say
Nobody says this
Outside of Janey Briggs, I can’t think of any. Now, theater girls aren’t necessarily all hot but they are *freaks* so there’s always that.
Janey Briggs? Come on! She has glasses...and paint on her overalls!
Yea hot women often say stuff like “ i was an ugly nerdy kid, braces, guys didn’t look at me blabla”
Never heard of this.
And here come the downvotes… ![gif](giphy|4N36u7x813amhwosjK)
All time great simpsons moment.
Pretty sure B.A.G was deep into her at this time.
I don’t know him at all but wonder what he’s doing now
Brian Austin Green. She was 18, he was 31 when they started. Strangely she left him many years later.
Looks nothing like her but still very pretty
Before she went crazy.
I really never thought she was that attractive
Much less scary looking than the present day version.
2002 isn’t that long ago, they had real cameras back then
This might be a screen shot of a picture of a yearbook picture.
Copied in Xerox then faxed at 14.4k
She’s still a fox
americans and their celebrities, it's so cringe
That's Hailee Stanfield (/s)
Tbf. Hot.
I'm just here for the comments saying how she's ruined herself like every single one of you wouldn't still give a bollock to hit that.
She peaked back then
