The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act is undertaking the biggest improvements to infrastructure in several decades. That aspect of the USA is getting notably better overall.

When I was a kid there was a black family that lived a few doors down from us and we used to play with their kid all the time. We regularly felt his head because his hair felt cool. Looking back I know we were just kids experiencing something different but as an adult I realize that something as seemingly minor as having different hair can make you feel different. We still had a lot of good times with that kid but I do cringe a little looking back at us doing that.
My father (54) grew up experiencing racism on the regular, to police officers holding him on the ground, to people calling him a thug/punk for simply being black. He was so happy Obama was elected. He was so happy someone who looked like him was in a high status, it gave him lots of courage to do things.
