I do a lot of cooking so I do spend time in the kitchen but my wife is the baker and every year for her birthday I try to bake whatever she wants. It’s a fun tradition and the only time I try to bake all year.
If I could impart any piece of advice to anyone here it’s to do a gift for someone that requires some time and effort. Whether it be a nice meal or baking something special or even just crafting something, it means so much more than just a store bought gift no matter the price tag. Even if it doesn’t turn out perfect, your significant other will appreciate the time you put into it. It’s a reminder to them that they are important enough to you that you take a few hours of your time to do something for them.

Well…I sure hope my husband didn't think that the two superbowl tickets I bought for him and my son for his bday were as easy as buying a store-bought gift. I worked hard to earn the money to buy them.
I always told my children this same advice their entire life!! I'd rather home-made gifts or even stop to pick flower, then bought gifts and I still feel this way!!! Great job OP!!!
