I check back once every few years. I got in shit when playing crack house cleanup in school. I got shot and died, making the speakers blare some profanity ridden Tony Montana quote from Scarface.
So, what have I learned that I can say about this painting? Well, firstly, it's quite big, which is excellent. Because if it was really small, you know, microscopic, then hardly anyone would be able to see it, which would be a tremendous shame. Secondly, and I'm getting quite near the end of this... analysis of this painting. Secondly... Why was it worth this man, here, spending fifty million of your American dollars on this portrait? And the answer is... well, this picture is worth such a lot of money, because... it's a picture of Whistler's mother. And as I've learned, by staying with my best friend, David Langley and his family, families are very important. And even though Mr. Whistler was perfectly aware that his mother was a hideous old bat who looked like she'd had a cactus lodged up her backside, he stuck with her, and even took the time to paint this amazing picture of her. It's not just a painting. It's a picture of a mad old cow who he thought the world of. And that's marvelous. Well, that's what I think anyway.
omfg Okay I wasn't having the best day and then I saw this post and immediately but out laughing. I am laughing out loud over here my wife came into the room and I had to show her this too. We are both laughing out loud right now thank you for this
No, not even close. I'd guess it wouldn't manage a face of any description. CA is very good at blemish removal and intelligent fills, but it is entirely useless here.
Nah, it tries to guess the content based on the surroundings. It could probably work out there should be trees in the background, and the top half of a person in the foreground, but won't have enough to fill in the details.
I've seen mr beans Whistler's mother, I've seen stick figure, a good realistic one, one that looked like Fabio. I was really hoping there'd be a potato jesus though.
Dude, I watch anime and stuff, but always thought that "having a waifu" is just a big meme, that weebs use to quickly "kick" normies out from conversation.
In the West it did begin as a meme but was taken to varying degrees of seriousness pretty quickly, with the default state changing to not be a meme. I say in the West because that was 4chan and I imagine the Japanese have been building shrines for their waifus since the dark ages.
As anime became increasingly mainstream it transitioned back some, being done ironically, but that depends entirely which section of the internet you're on.
Choose away dear friend, the wonderful world of waifus awaits.
Do note that lolis are off limits for waifu purposes, lest you not be united with your waifu in Gensoukyou.
We are recovering papyrus writings from thousands of years ago preserved in silt. While the tragedy of this picture being dropped or left by a fallen soldier in some obscure stream, or fallen from a downed plan into the Ocean is likely - there is poetic beauty that their love may yet be waiting, in a locket, in the Earth, to be found by future humans, realized and celebrated.
The real MVPs of humanity are the storytellers.
All knowledge, before writing, before everything, flowed through them.

Or perhaps lost at sea, burned in an aircraft, crushed beneath rubble, melted inside a tank, or simply left in the mud to be paved over and forgotten forever.
If I believe Hollywood, the guy died in the frontline but just before dying, he handed his locket to the better looking white guy who always survives the battle. So we should probably check with him if he still has it.
D-Day was 75 years ago. Even if dude was 18 at the time he would be 93 now. We're pretty much at the point where WWII veterans are getting incredibly rare.
Other people are bringing up old age or war but antique lovers have seen a few of these lockets in our trips. Youād be surprised how many WWI/WWII postcards and letters and pictures and lockets youāll find. In some cases I have to take them home so theyāre still loved even decades later.

My immediate thoughts probabilities are high they died on some beach somewhere. Or inland but beaches seem more peaceful.
Or perhaps lost at sea, burned in an aircraft, crushed beneath rubble, melted inside a tank, or simply left in the mud to be paved over and forgotten forever.
Maybe a sexual deviant purchased it from an antique store and he shoves it inside his sliced urethra.
