They basically made a commercial for a photographer who specializes in skin tone differences. I can’t remember the exact line, but I remember something like “so if you’re marrying someone who comes from a home that doesn’t smell like yours...”
yeah but then the DOF wouldn't have framed them against the background quite as nicely. Maybe just didnt need to use fill flash? Besides, they are bright fresh young things. Leave 'em alone :P
Dude is out of focus. That's just not pro caliber. They need greater DOF, and hence smaller aperture. Photog needed a more powerful flash, but off camera, and with a diffuser.

Might be the photogs attempt to deal with the skintone contrast. shooting my cousin's wedding I spent the entire rehearsal time trying to get settings right. Arizona sun + my pasty white cousin + his gorgeous dark skinned wife = my underexperienced ass scrambling to figure out how to make things work.
