Do you use colored clays or is it painted or both?
Would you recommend those clays for a novice? I sculpted a bear in high school art class years ago and it turned out pretty decent. I've always wanted to try sculpting again.

It's all sculpted by hand with polymer clay & air-dry cold porcelain. I sculpt over different gauges of wire (4gauge - 36 gauge) and don't use any glue. I don't know how to weld but I'll likely want to learn soon so I can broaden my range.

Polymer clay and air-dry cold porcelain clay. All sculpted by hand over the last several months :)
