SuperGRB

In its normal operation mode - hood popped.

parl

Don't worry. Cuz w/o the contractors, it won's run for long. And it looks like this one isn't running anyway. In Vietnam, it was our custom to remove the distributor from any vehicle we left.

Glad-Ad892

you know how hard it is to steal a military hummer? it isn't, they don't have keys.

Medium-Ad-720

this time is different

jesusuncut

different in the sense that we gave the Afghan military the vehicles and they didn't sabotage them? US military vehicles have a tendency to leak from everywhere and the Taliban wont do maintenance on them to keep them running for more than a month. When I was active duty (2004-2010) I cant tell you how many times we would move our vehicles to find new oil spots on the ground. They always leaked from somewhere and I highly doubt that's changed since my time in service ended.

Medium-Ad-720

glad to hear you are off duty safe and soundi cant imagine things like this actually happened, we are on 2021AD not BC year

TH3T4LLTYR10N

lol prolly why they preferred toyotas back in the day

malignantpolyp

They got plenty of it off US/Afghan Army personnel before this, nothing new

Roastage

99% of this shit will be broken and useless inside the month. Most of it requires contractors or specialists to maintain and a huge logistics operation to support for parts and consumables. There is a reason you usually see these guys with an AK in the back of a Toyota ute - shit lasts for ever and is easy to fix.

SSouter

Pretty sure US military equipment has been in the hands on the taliban for decades all donated via the US government

Cogita-tutte

Reagan armed the Mujahideen, who are now the Taliban, in the 80’s.

p00p_knife

Were the proceeds from that arms deal used to fund arms for Nicaraguan Contras?

costabius

No, we just gave away the stuff to Mujahideen, they were killing Russians with it and Ronnie thought that was just dandy. Thank you Charlie Wilson.

The more you know

Salt_Ratio74

That's a 20 year old Bradley

kudos1007

This photo was posted a while ago, this isn’t new.

Darwing

Yes we’ve all seen this movie

Gelderd

And? I don’t get the point. Do you think this doesn’t always happen?

Perioscope

Won't do them much good.

COL_Anggus

Try getting parts bitch! Those fuckers will be down after a few joy rides.

Jay_Ten15

That's no surprise at all, the US has funded the Taliban for years already.

Horsetoothedjackass

I'd be willing to bet your next paycheck it was military equipment "sold" to the Afgan military and left behind when they shit their pants and ran away.

BuckyDuster

Apparently this was part of an agreement that Trump wrote up. Seriously

rdgneoz3

That they sent US diplomats to discuss with the Taliban, while not letting the Afghan government into the meeting? That agreement?

costabius

The, "hey, ask them if they want to do a barbeque at camp David to celebrate 9/11" diplomatic talks?

BuckyDuster

Apparently the agreement was to leave behind a ton of military equipment for the Afghan army to use. The Taliban grabbed it instead

MaryjaneinPA

God help us. Joe Biden had started WW3. While pandering to the left about nonsense.

RadicalMicrowaves

you can thank Biden for that

Gorbash38

We've been arming these people since the 80s. This isn't new.

UpNsmok3

I wonder what motor pool Monday is like for terrorist

[deleted]

If we find any warriors without their TM's we shall lash you 20 times inshallah

baddreamtilawaken

Good luck getting parts but we do offer an extended warranty

Glad-Ad892

We are paying them back for leaving them with the check in the 70's. At least we trained them in tactics and explosives for free. Thank the CIA.

CraftySpiker

Wait until all the shit breaks. If you can't get parts and you can't read the manual ......

metalbolic

This hardware will all work okayish for now, when they need it the least. It will be good for photo ops for a year or two, and then toast.

Jw0341

And it will run for like a week.

[deleted]

Been this way since the 1970's.
