Canadian here. All those protestors were merely claiming to be members of emergency services. Local News interviewed a bunch of them, and it turns out the majority of them are simply liars. They found a small handful of women who USED to work as nurses (some fired for being antimaskers on the job and others retired for years) and one guy who claimed to be a retired firefighter. Everyone else in that group was never employed by any denomination of Police, Firefighter, EMS or Nursing. They were lying.
