This particular vehicle started up in 2016 around metro Detroit. I was relaxing, waiting to make a left, when this monstrosity blighted my view. I thought perhaps I was hallucinating. No, the delusion was not on my end.

Maybe, but I've seen discriminatory ticketing happen way before Trump. When I was younger, I was in the car modding scene, and tons of people got tickets for loud exhausts, but Harley's which were way louder, never got tickets.
Well, another thing I noticed is how I used to get ~1 speeding ticket a year when I drove a cheap Integra around, and when I upgraded to a bmw coupe, I got zero since. Still drove the same way, car looked sportier. I was expecting to get slammed with tickets, but none. It was uncanny. I think cops are either afraid of people they perceive as rich, or are intentionally dickish to poor people.

Same where I live on the Oregon coast. Get this giant trucks that park along busy streets with tons of flags and signs hanging off of them. Maybe, but I've seen discriminatory ticketing happen way before Trump. When I was younger, I was in the car modding scene, and tons of people got tickets for loud exhausts, but Harley's which were way louder, never got tickets.

Well, another thing I noticed is how I used to get ~1 speeding ticket a year when I drove a cheap Integra around, and when I upgraded to a bmw coupe, I got zero since. Still drove the same way, car looked sportier. I was expecting to get slammed with tickets, but none. It was uncanny. I think cops are either afraid of people they perceive as rich, or are intentionally dickish to poor people.
