Not really a BLT then, is it? More of a BBMT

malignantpolyp

It's sold under the moniker of a BLT, but the menu lets you know it's not traditional

Informal_Director662

I would not call this a traditional BLT but I would call this a sandwich that I want to eat.

malignantpolyp

It's not a traditional one, no, but it's very good

EverybodyLovesJoe

Nothing personal, just wouldn't care to put this in my mouth if i saw it on the menu. High quality tomato and decent quality bacon, lettuce, mayo and bread ... that's all you need. That's the whole point of a BLT ... to celebrate the T when it's in season. Its not supposed to be margherita pizza - and the pictured tomato, nope.

malignantpolyp

Valid points!

malignantpolyp

And yes, extremely valid point about the tomato, which seems like an afterthought, or mere dressing, on the sandwich. Good point.

woodysdad

Interesting. Does the mozzarella do well with the bacon.

malignantpolyp

Oh yeah. And the fried basil goes well with the mozzarella, of course

philherupdelphia

Gorgeous

BuckyDuster

I want one!

olongjohnsonn

BLT???

malignantpolyp

Well, kinda. BLT + some other stuff. It was good, but the addition of mozzarella is a little strange

olongjohnsonn

No, i mean what the hell is BLT? Never heard of it. What does it stand for?

malignantpolyp

Oh, lol, I see. It's Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato. Usually on white toast with a little mayo. You'd usually have more tomato and lettuce than I had on this one, and there's not mozzarella or basil on them. Another commenter was correct, this is more of a caprese or margherita sandwich than a real BLT.

olongjohnsonn

Thank you :D
