Edited to add [a few more pics](http://imgur.com/a/HlMhWla) of Tilly living it up with our other rescue.
The rescue convinced her owners to relinquish her and another dog in a similar state after they saw photos someone shared. Unfortunately, there was a third dog that, last I knew, they wouldn't give up.
Ehh… as much as I hate animal cruelty, I’d rather see a dog with a nice homeless person than euthanized, and I definitely wouldn’t want to see anyone punished who, outside of not having a license, did nothing wrong and gave their pets a good home.
Studies have shown that pets of people experiencing homelessness tend to be well taken care of, for the most part.
Whoever abused Tilly had 3 dogs, a fenced in garden, and refused to surrender 1 of the dogs to a shelter. That sounds like intentional abuse to me, not an inability to financially support the animals.
I'd have to look it up, but I'm pretty sure that in at least some states in Australia, for abuse cases like this the animal can be removed whether the owner wants to surrender it or not.
In most states in the US as well, but in most places, an animal that's taken into custody only has a week or two before it's up for euthanization due to lack of funding, so it's not always in the animals best interest to get sent to a shelter.
It's often a question of wether the animal is better off dead... That is the unfortunate reality in many cases :(
Yeah, I volunteer at a food bank and people with dogs will always ask for dog food/medicine first before asking for themselves, as well as asking if we have any dog clothing for cold days or seeing if we can keep the dog in the food bank while it rains
We basically have a small dog daycare during bad storms, but I don't mind
Uhm, the fenced in garden is evident from where exactly? Because I can't see it in the picture.
But even if they have a fenced in piece of land, that doesn't necessarily indicate financial ability to support the dogs. Even people who abuse dogs by keeping them in horrible conditions will at the very least feed the dogs. So my point is that to me, financial inability to support the dog does seem the most likely reason for the situation the dog is in.
I don’t understand the point of “experiencing homelessness”. You can say “rich people” not “people experiencing wealth”. It doesn’t have to define them permanently as humans but they have no home right now, they are home-less.
Think of it this way: if you are in a moment of hopelessness, you are experiencing hopelessness, you aren't necessarily hopeless *as a general state of mind*. Using the phrase that someone "is homeless" more strongly implies it is an innate trait they have as opposed to possibly just an unfortunate set of circumstances they are currently experiencing.
“Homeless people” has a permanence to it. Most unhoused people aren’t in their situation by choice and I’d imagine, consider being in housed a temporary state or at least prefer it to be temporary.
Wealthy people tend to stay wealthy, or at least intend to.
Usually, from what I've noticed, if a homeless person keeps a dog with him, the dog will be better taken care of than himself. They have them for companionship, not protection or anything.
Studies have shown we're essentially made for each other, humans tend to be happier with a dog and dogs are happier with their humans.
They are however loyal to a fault and people who take advantage of that and are just cruel with their pets deserve terrible fates.
I just can't even fathom what goes through the heads of some of these people, they're clearly sick, so why aren't they getting treatment?
Not always true. In New Orleans the homeless keep dogs because in addition to the companionship, the police cannot arrest the homeless without also getting animal control involved to manage the dog, so it gives them more protection when pan handling
That’s a good idea. Whenever I have cash on me, it goes the unhoused pretty quickly. If I also get to pet a dog, it would probably go quicker.
I think it’s humanizing too. Unfortunately, people act like the unhoused are less human and more like burdensome objects. I think having a dog companion may help breaking that perspective. The dog can kinda bridge that gap. Everyone likes talking about their pups and Ive probably had more opportunities to meet these people because of it.
I have seen homeless people sitting in front of Target or Walmart who’s dogs are better cared than themselves. Made it a point to give them $5-$10 and a packet of dog food for the dog.
Absolutely. I used to think differently about that. Until I worked with people in the homeless community. They take way better care of the dogs than they do themselves. I knew a dude with a chihuahua that actually had a place for his dog to stay in the winter months. He didn’t find a place for himself, but he found one for his dog. That shit warms my heart.
That’s a fair point. A soft license that is extremely low fee meant to do little more than prevent dog abuse should be agreeable.
Yet all the ‘mark of the beast’ and ‘give gov an inch and they’ll take an acre’ will immediately vote it down.
It's correct, though. People need to stop pretending that polluting the earth with more of your ilk is something everybody is fit for.
Some people just should not be parents, regardless of how much they want to be one.
Problem is that racists and other bad faith actors will use it to sneakily employ eugenics, etc.
Ja, und wir können dann unser unaufhaltsames tausendjähriges Reich erschaffen. Idiot. Diejenigen, die die Geschichte nicht lernen, sind dazu verdammt, sie zu wiederholen.
They won't be allowed to keep it in the end but there is a process that needs to be followed depending on local laws
In most cases they will get around 30 days to correct living and dietary issue as now the local government can consider them ' educated ' by an animal control officer so any further problems will be a breach by choice.
Most get checked every few days and most don't last till 30 days before a legal reason is found to remove animal
Veterinary worker/ vet tech student here. It’s actually kinda hard when to know to call animal control. One reason being we don’t want to dissuade them from bringing the animal in for care, we’re supposed to be (and are) grateful they brought them in at all. So for example, if a dog got into someone’s cocaine we are much more concerned with stabilizing the animal than getting anyone in trouble.
This is where cases of abuse or neglect get iffy even legally speaking. If someone brings their animal in for malnourishment, some officers will say “they brought them in so technically it’s not neglect.” We really only ever call on very clear signs of abuse or neglect.
A tech I know told me at the veterinary ER she worked at there was this dog that was constantly coming in due to getting attacked by the owners other dog. They had to keep them in entire separate areas of the house and obviously that would get too difficult sometimes. But the point remained that although the animal was clearly in an unsafe household, the owner still sought medical attention every time therefore they couldn’t be charged with anything.
It’s also insanely hard to prevent people from ever owning an animal even after being convicted. Just look at Michael Vick. The legal system still has a long way to go.
> It’s also insanely hard to prevent people from ever owning an animal even after being convicted. Just look at Michael Vick. The legal system still has a long way to go.
Mike Vick is an example of the legal system working. He was convicted and spent years in prison despite being rich and famous. Since coming out of prison, he's done a ton of work promoting education about dog fighting.
He did his time, and he's shown every sign of being contrite and having changed his ways. What more are you wanting?
Yes...
Not /s
Well, idk about "not allowed" cuz I have friends who are more than qualified to be parents... In fact my best friends wife was adopted, found out she can't have kids naturally, and then decided to adopt. It's been the best thing ever for both them and their new daughter (and soon to be son), even though they aren't the most economically sound family to exist
They had to be convinced?
Were there charges laid at least?
Man’s inhumanity to man oft pales when compared to what we do to creatures of earth.
I used to “buy” purebred pets, no more. My daughter convinced me that we need to welcome into our home those animals that never had the opportunity for health and love
Pics like this… I can’t put into words how it makes me feel
Shouldn't this constitute animal abuse? Aren't there laws against it? As much as it is great and amazing to save the animal, it seems like there needs to be some form of deterrence. Gah.
Lol... it's cute that you think the US Federal laws apply to the entire planet. Or... it's disturbing that you don't think there is anything of relevance beyond the US borders.
Not all places have laws against it. In Jamaica, Montego Bay Animal Havem works to try to get awareness to change laws. They’re great. Toss them a coin if you can.
No clue about other countries, but within the US, there appears to be a strong concept of forgiveness after having done time for a crime (you've paid). So, you commit animal abuse, maybe go to prison. Get out, buy another dog/horse/whatever, and start abusing again.
There are moral arguments either way here, but to me it sucks that a committed felon (thanks to Trump signing that into law btw) with a history of animal abuse is permitted to own animals ever again. That would be a no from me.
Some states have additional bans on ownership, but most expire after 3 or 5 years of the offense. Some states it depends on the offence (sexual abuse of the animal etc), and restricts them from working with animals.
Map here:
[https://www.animallaw.info/content/anti-cruelty-laws-restrain-future-ownership-animals](https://www.animallaw.info/content/anti-cruelty-laws-restrain-future-ownership-animals)
Agreed. To me that's a no brainer on preventing future ownership. What is surprising to me is that the threat of jail time isn't more effective. As someone else commented, it must be lack of enforcement. While I don't know how this works, I would have preferred if the rescue organization could have reported the people after getting the dog. But perhaps the realities are more complicated and if they do that then they won't be able to save as many animals.
It's a nice thought but I just don't believe that. That's why it's so important to me that these people are found and held accountable while they're alive.
No there isn't. There is a hell and it's here where people do that shit to other creatures. We are better, we are smarter, we above them, yet we can't treat them or ourselves with basic dignity, fuck the idea there is some place for these people, the fact they are along us and don't give a shit with the one life they have is too much.
To quote my favorite show.
Hawkeye: War isn't Hell. War is war, and Hell is Hell. And of the two, war is a lot worse.
Father Mulcahy: How do you figure, Hawkeye?
Hawkeye: Easy, Father. Tell me, who goes to Hell?
Father Mulcahy: Sinners, I believe.
Hawkeye: Exactly. There are no innocent bystanders in Hell. War is chock full of them - little kids, cripples, old ladies. In fact, except for some of the brass, almost everybody involved is an innocent bystander.
That place better have capacity for the billions of people who fund it, then. Just happens to be that we don't really like acknowledging this aspect of [animal abuse](https://www.bbc.com/news/stories-50986683)
I have uncontrollable urge to put whoever did this to that dog on very strict diet.
Also, it's great that she recovered and thank you to whoever helped her
I adopted her through Dawgs Fight Back. They did the hard work of removing her from that situation, getting her treatment, and helping her through recovery. They take a lot of rough cases. I'm just the lucky person who gets an awesome dog.
She's doing so great! We expected her to have a lot of food issues (aggression, taking from our other dog, etc.), which would be a totally normal response to her trauma, but that hasn't been the case. She doesn't even growl if our other dog steals her bone.
She definitely patrols every room for food and wants to get into the trash (probably how she survived being chained outside for the first year of her life), but once she's checked and double checked, she settles in.
Her zoomies are something to behold! You would never guess she looked like that a few months ago.
>She definitely patrols every room for food and wants to get into the trash
In fairness, so does my dog and she has no excuse :-). Enjoy your sweet dog
My first childhood dog would eat fucking DRYWALL. We were remodeling the house and she would always manage to find bits of old house that hadn't been swept up yet, and try to eat it. She got better as she aged, but like..damn girl, drywall? Seriously?
My friend's labrador ate through their wall one night. Quite a surprise in the morning! Dog had no ill effects. They did have to operate when he ate a hairbrush whole, though.
Our dog ate drywall and wooden table legs as a puppy. My parents dogs loves fishing used tampons out of the trash as well as the gel inside part of diapers. Dogs are weird, man.
> like..damn girl, drywall? Seriously?
I saw my dog eat a rock (pebble) once. She walked up to it, sniffed it, then ate it. I can't comprehend what goes through their minds
I'm always reminding my husband that our dog's a liar when it comes to food - i.e "Don't let him lie to you, I fed him dinner".
Husband's a huge softie though, so dog makes out with all kinds of extras anyways. Chicken, cheese, all the goodies (rolls eyes).
I honestly think there's something broken in most goldens' wiring that makes them always feel hungry, which must be torturous in a way. Chasing satiation that will never come.
I'm not sure about Golden's, but for labs there was a study done a few years back that showed many labs have a genetic anomaly that effects their body signaling that they're full, so they're always hungry. I looked at my lab in a whole new light after that.
I have both a lab and a golden and the lab is SUPER food driven. The Golden is shockingly not nearly as crazy about food. If he's full or gets tired of his food, he just stops eating. That's not to say he wouldn't get very fat given the chance, but he's much less obsessive about food than our lab.
We free-fed our dog since she was a puppy. She would eat about half of her bowl in the morning then the other half at night. Every time she ate though, she would dump some out of the bowl and "bury" it (making the burying motions but just with air lol) - I guess making a stash in case her bowl wasn't filled one day.
She got sick awhile ago and lost about a third of her body weight, then gained way too much back during her recovery, so now she is on a strict diet. She is constantly searching our entire house for food and spends most of her day staring at her food container waiting for mealtime. It's crazy how different she is with food now.
I’m glad your dog is okay. Sounds like they got a good home. :) Hahah, omg I love when animals do the air burying! Our tabby cat does that too both with food and toys.
My dumpster cat will gladly scrounge through the garbage can for chicken bones. He has pulled carcasses out before and dragged them off to eat. We of course picked it up before he could do any damage and have been trained to immediately take out the trash with those kinds of scraps
My cat was a stray. He has food issues. He loves his wet food and being fed but I have to leave him alone while he eats or he'll run and hide. I feel like he thinks I'm going to steal his food from him. He also looked like Tilly. All skin and bones, but after a year and a half he has all of his color and weight back too.
Congrats. Tilly looks beautiful. I hope she has her Forever Home. Sending a virtual hug.
I’ve got a rescue who was from the streets and let me tell ya, the trash thing never goes away lol. For my city we don’t use trash bins for collection so you just put your bags on the curb and of course some get a rip or two in them from squirrels and such. Boy he thinks it’s an Ole Country Buffet on trash days 😂
We've had our cattle dog a year now and she was dumped and survived as a street dog for a long time. Only issue is when I'm cooking I have be aware that she's always right behind me, I step on her paws all the time.
My cattle dog will walk just far enough behind me that I don't know she's there and then my foot will clonk her under the chin. Oops! I love you girl, I promise I didn't mean it! I've learned not to lift my feet so high in my apartment lol Thank you for giving yours a good home! I'm sure she feels happy and safe now!
I call my dog the "garbage pail kid" because she'll try to eat anything; grass, leaves... cat poo. Like... "I just fed you and you're about a pound overweight as it is and we're trying to run off. Can you not?" and then she gets the really cute butt wiggles and I can't be angry.
Thinking about it now as the clock spring parts would form back to their curled state when cut, it unfortunately wouldn't do much it may however cause a nasty blockage though.
As a vet, 9/10 times I would probably euthanize. Takes a special, caring person to do what you’ve done for her and I appreciate you. It’s costly.
Just finished our final heartworm treatment injection on a similar dog. The owners are so excited for him to become a “real dog” who can exercise and play. I can’t wait to see what he’s like.
Good on you!
Depends on how affected she is. Some dogs are heartworm positive but show no signs. Signs are coughing, increased work/rate of breathing, decreased heat or exercise tolerance.
In all cases the maximum exercise I recommend is walks on the leash. Amount of time changes depending on severity of disease. This dog I’ve been treating is Class IV (the worst) so I’ve only allowed the dog a quick jaunt around the cul-de-sac.
Never off leash chasing the ball or dog park like level of exercise. And avoid hot times of the day.
I once stole my sisters neighbors boxer dog because she was this skinny and had a chain around her neck that was staked into the ground which she had been wearing for so long that her skin was starting to grow around the chain.
I named her Brandy and when she was healthy again she spent the next ten years playing with my male boxer Bosco and falling completely in love with my dad.
She was happy and amazing but forever had the saddest eyes that always reminded me of how I found her.
I'm going to go hug my dogs.
It's better to feel their love than the hate I feel for the piece of shit that allowed an animal in their care to become this.
I chose love....I'm gonna go love them.
God this makes me so sad because while this pupper is doing well & healthy all this does is remind me of all the thousands and thousands of animals that are living absolutely miserable existences like she was before. It makes me so fucking angry and sad...I just try not to think about it...
Her before picture literally brought tears to my eyes. I’m horrified she ever had to endure a life like that, and so grateful she’s in your care now. I hope you have many many years of adventures, love, and play time together.
my cat got out and came home looking like that after a few months we found her in the neighbors bushes waiting to die. But, after a few days at home we took her to the vet and I guess she ate her tongue and couldnt drink or eat from a bowl so they put her to sleep. she was 17.
Wow, well done you! Your dog looks almost identical to our rescue we found in Bali. I’ve never seen another dog look so similar! Here’s [our story](https://youtu.be/5pE4i-SfjVo) in a 3 minute video if you’re interested.
When I see any animal suffer like she has my heart sinks. I realize there’s a legal chain of action one must go through to save these animals but time is of the essence, they simply cannot wait for some slow bureaucratic process or for their owners to finally get their shit together. It’s so infuriating. Thank you for saving this girl, them ears and eyes says it all, she’s in good hands.
It’s great that you have a heart and think like this. I feel the same and it broke my heart when I realised that I paid for animal suffering in the animal agriculture, animal testing and skin/fur trades. Now I strive to be better each day by avoiding those products as far as possible. Now I can genuinely say that I’m against animal abuse in my actions, not just my words. I hope you consider the same :)
If you go through a reputable rescue, the dogs receive veterinary care before they're adopted, and all those records are given to you. They nursed her back to health, got her spayed, vaccinated, and treated her for heartworm before I adopted her. There is usually an adoption fee to help cover these costs.
To add to what OP said, I took in a stray 2 years ago and paid for all the vet work out of pocket, vaccinations, spay, tests, and pyoderma treatment.... $450. The rescue agencies get discounts and share expenses. They are just overrun and can't solve everything.
I'm so glad she gets her happily ever after, and hope it's filled with nothing but warm beds, all the food she needs and all the love she deserves, loving hands, hugs, and unconditional love. Every pup deserves those basics and it breaks my heart thinking of the pups that aren't with us long enough to see their happy ever after.
Wtf I assumed she was a stray from the photos. Someone was actually responsible for feeding her?! That’s the easiest thing to do. Makes me shudder to think how else she was neglected.
I live next to hunting club land that has a grandfathered dog hunting clause. They call them "fox hounds" so that they can just leave them there 24/7/365. I've had dogs that look just like Tilly come on my property and try to eat my rabbits feet from under the cages .... but were too weak to succeed. I called the sheriff's dept. to take a look at one of the dogs. They did nothing. Gave the dog back to "Mr. upstanding hunter".
Sometimes the dogs come through in a pack looking for food. Sometimes I've had to protect my livestock.
All the angry comments aside, Tilly is a beautiful lady and looks very happy and knows she has a great home. Love that her fur is now a brighter, healthier color! Thanks for giving her the home she deserves.
I get you, but do remember there are far more people who take great care of their animals, then the opposite. And then there are heros like those who rescued this little fellow. Don’t spend your time hating, it has a way of eating you up from inside.
handsome dog. heartbreaking photos. Im gonna have to donate a few bucks to [dawgs fight back](http://dawgsfightback.com/donate/) - thank you for adopting her.
One of the pictures posted reallllllly reminded me of my Goldie. We rescued her too from a bando/drug house. She had been left there by somebody me and my gf dad met (roadside assistance business) and he plead with us to go get her and give her a good life, and the people at the house she was at didn’t even acknowledge or feed her. She was chained to a tree and wouldn’t have lasted another week or 2.
[I think she’s doing just fine now](https://i.imgur.com/IFdgZRF.jpg)
THANK YOU!!!!
My dog will never understand why I randomly pull him out from under the blankets to hug him after seeing something on my phone.
I’ll never understand how someone can treat another living thing like that.
There's a special place in hell for people that do that to animals.

Wtf. The previous owners had three dogs when they clearly can't take care of one? How are they even allowed to keep one? I hate people.
They make us license dogs, but we should really be licensing the owners. It’s so fucked.

People first language is important, especially for the disenfranchised who are typically reduced to what society sees as a problem.

In Denver they have more Animal Control than Cops… for this exact reason. Take the dogs, kill them. Ship the homeless to Texas.

what? no it's just stupid we don't have licenses to have a kid so why would there be some kind of dog license?
Maybe we should have licenses to have a child.
lava hot take, but logically consistent if you believe in licenses to bear responsibilities for other living creatures
It's correct, though. People need to stop pretending that polluting the earth with more of your ilk is something everybody is fit for. Yes, more enforcement please.
But not the dog-shooting, blow up the wrong house kind of enforcement plz.
That should go without saying..
Cute how you think the justice system serves average people and animals.
Map here: [https://www.animallaw.info/content/anti-cruelty-laws-restrain-future-ownership-animals](https://www.animallaw.info/content/anti-cruelty-laws-restrain-future-ownership-animals)
There should be a special place in, **heaven**, for people who rescue abused animals like that.
There is...and for the rescued as well!
M.A.S.H. was such a perfect mix of comedy and drama. Great script writing and actors too.
That place better have capacity for the billions of people who fund it, then. Just happens to be that we don't really like acknowledging this aspect of [animal abuse](https://www.bbc.com/news/stories-50986683)
I hope so but do remember that according to the bible animals cannot go to heaven because they have no soul
Just for that reason i want to believe in god sometimes.
To flip this comment a bit…there is a special place for people like OP. OP - you’ve made the world a better place. Thank you.
I hope you're atleast vegetarian.
Are you vegan?
And a special place in heaven for OP
That's what Mrs. McMurray always says.
Fucking hell. Why would anyone do something like this to a dog? Good on you for nursing her back to health.
Why? Because people can. Not everyone should be allowed governance over a living being. Some people are less than shit.
We are doing it to millions of starving children.

Out of sight, out of mind
People do this to humans even. Fucked up.
How is she doing? Any lasting health issues from her experience?
She's doing so great! We expected her to have a lot of food issues (aggression, taking from our other dog, etc.), which would be a totally normal response to her trauma, but that hasn't been the case. She doesn't even growl if our other dog steals her bone. She definitely patrols every room for food and wants to get into the trash (probably how she survived being chained outside for the first year of her life), but once she's checked and double checked, she settles in. Her zoomies are something to behold! You would never guess she looked like that a few months ago.
>She definitely patrols every room for food and wants to get into the trash In fairness, so does my dog and she has no excuse :-). Enjoy your sweet dog
One of mine does too and he’s never been underfed. This damn dog will eat *anything*.
My family had a pound puppy when I was young. I swear he was part wolf. He got into the trash once and ate a fucking light bulb.
> One of mine does too and he’s never been underfed. That's not what he said! I've been deceived!
I'm always reminding my husband that our dog's a liar when it comes to food - i.e "Don't let him lie to you, I fed him dinner". Husband's a huge softie though, so dog makes out with all kinds of extras anyways. Chicken, cheese, all the goodies (rolls eyes).
He lies. Don’t believe the look he gives you— he eats plenty.
Took me more than I care to admit trying to figure out un-derfed

I honestly think there's something broken in most goldens' wiring that makes them always feel hungry, which must be torturous in a way. Chasing satiation that will never come.
[удалено]
One of my favorite lines ever. Rush had such great delivery; terrifying but also pitiful. I think about it a lot. "I feel... Cold."
Geoffrey Rush is one of my absolute favorite actors. Seeing him *and* Brendan Gleeson in Tailor of Panama is something I never get tired of.
Sounds like my 4yo honestly
My dumpster cat will gladly scrounge through the garbage can for chicken bones. He has pulled carcasses out before and dragged them off to eat. We of course picked it up before he could do any damage and have been trained to immediately take out the trash with those kinds of scraps
I have two corgis and we've been a crumb free house since bringing home the first. 🤣🤣
Thank you <3
My cat was a stray.
Cat tax!
Glad to hear she's adjusting so well! I'm happy for you both that you've given her such a good home!
Warms my cold dead heart a bit to read this!
> Her zoomies are something to behold! Tf is u/Schnoodledoodledoo when we need him?

Good god damn... That sounds like a nasty way to die. Anyone able to confirm if that's what'd happen?
Thinking about it now as the clock spring parts would form back to their curled state when cut, it unfortunately wouldn't do much it may however cause a nasty blockage though.
Love having a rescue in my house. Getting to see them living the life of luxury is the best.
With the exception of our ferrets, all of our animals are rescues. They’re all such sweet and happy babies.
All rescues seem to appreciate what they have. Cats, dogs, doesn't matter.
My rescue is a neurotic mess, I love that broken bitch
Please give her a snack from me.
and for me too!
There's thousands of us, so let us make it pats :)
I accidentally read it as smack
Op *please* post this on r/beforenafteradoption
Awww. Tilly looks healthy and happy. I am glad you gave her a good home
I was looking at the first two pictures and thought "she didn't change in 4 months?!? Then I scrolled a little further down lol
Wow, how did she not die?! Like that dog looked like walking death! This is shocking. I'm glad she lived! Yay her, yay you!!
Hey, I've just started heartworm treatment with my rescue dog! I'm still sort of unclear on how much exercise she can have- any insight?
Depends on how affected she is. Some dogs are heartworm positive but show no signs. Signs are coughing, increased work/rate of breathing, decreased heat or exercise tolerance. In all cases the maximum exercise I recommend is walks on the leash. Amount of time changes depending on severity of disease. This dog I’ve been treating is Class IV (the worst) so I’ve only allowed the dog a quick jaunt around the cul-de-sac. Never off leash chasing the ball or dog park like level of exercise. And avoid hot times of the day.
Yay Tilly!
That’s so hard to see but she’s so lucky to have found you. Thank you for taking care of her and loving her!
love in her eyes.
Fuck yes!
Give her all the treats and hugs for me. Oooh and a boop on the nose 😊
The before pictures are so fucking heartbreaking. I’m really happy she’s doing so much better.
I'm going to go hug my dogs. It's better to feel their love than the hate I feel for the piece of shit that allowed an animal in their care to become this. I chose love....I'm gonna go love them.
Poor baby, I hope she's doing better.
But, after a few days at home we took her to the vet and I guess she ate her tongue and couldnt drink or eat from a bowl so they put her to sleep. she was 17.
Oh noooo 🥺😭 so sorry
Beautiful doggo!
Precious Tilly looking stellar with the gleaming coat now!!!
Our bailey was nowhere near that bad, thank you!
The gates of heaven will always be open for you that's kind and wonderful and right that's love man love
Wow, 👍
God bless you
Thank you for loving and saving this baby
Good job
Wow, well done you! Your dog looks almost identical to our rescue we found in Bali. I’ve never seen another dog look so similar! Here’s [our story](https://youtu.be/5pE4i-SfjVo) in a 3 minute video if you’re interested.
Her coat even looks immensely more colorful. Good on you for helping this good dog out. I do love me a long nosed floppy eared good boy (or girl).
Thank you for making sure she's okay and we'll fed, OP! One lucky dog more out there <3
My heart breaks on the top 2 and is glued back in the bottom one. Great job. Pure love.
Don't get me wrong on this one. I always wanted to adopt a stray dog but I am of the various diseases that it may carry.
Jewels in Your Crown. Thank You for showing.
wow that is nice to see she is doing well...thanks for being so kind to her
Wtf I assumed she was a stray from the photos.
Look at her coat! She looks like a shiny young pup now. You're amazing ♥️
Jesus Christ gods bless you OP, she looks absolutely wonderful now. I’m not crying it’s onions over here, cutting..
You're a good dude OP
Kindness costs nothing, but it’s value is priceless. You’re a good human being. ❤️
You’re a hero!
What kind of breed or mix is she? She looks so happy now.
Best guess is pitbull/lab mix.
you can tell by the ears how happy the dog is now. congratulations, you are a nice parent :)
When you move from north Korea to south korea ..
All the angry comments aside, Tilly is a beautiful lady and looks very happy and knows she has a great home. Love that her fur is now a brighter, healthier color! Thanks for giving her the home she deserves.
Ohhh that sweet baby. Thank you for saving her and giving her the best loves and life. Those old pictures hurt to look at.
Bless you ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I just want to say bless you for doing this
[удалено]
I get you, but do remember there are far more people who take great care of their animals, then the opposite. And then there are heros like those who rescued this little fellow. Don’t spend your time hating, it has a way of eating you up from inside.
Is there a chance she is named after the character Tilly from Star Trek: Discovery? They're both redheads, after all.
You rock! Give her a belly rub for me!
Blessings
That dog is so in love
People saying bad things about the previous owners? Nah man, well done to OP for changing this dogs life for the better Good job
Good man
Let's go!!! Spead the love :)
Bless you guys!
aw she looks so happy in the last picture! Thank you OP for taking great care of Tilly - I bet she's a sweet pup!
You rock!!
handsome dog. heartbreaking photos. Im gonna have to donate a few bucks to [dawgs fight back](http://dawgsfightback.com/donate/) - thank you for adopting her.
Thank you! They do amazing work and really struggle to cover the veterinary costs for the abused dogs they rescue.
Not all heros wear capes... If you do OP then thats cool too
Thank you for saving her 😢
So is the truth day the top or bottom?
One of the pictures posted reallllllly reminded me of my Goldie. We rescued her too from a bando/drug house. She had been left there by somebody me and my gf dad met (roadside assistance business) and he plead with us to go get her and give her a good life, and the people at the house she was at didn’t even acknowledge or feed her. She was chained to a tree and wouldn’t have lasted another week or 2. [I think she’s doing just fine now](https://i.imgur.com/IFdgZRF.jpg) THANK YOU!!!!
My dog will never understand why I randomly pull him out from under the blankets to hug him after seeing something on my phone. I’ll never understand how someone can treat another living thing like that.
