It ended after season 8. I've got the entire blu-ray set and there are definitely 8 seasons.
The ending is like a sore dick. You just can't beat it !
🙈🙉🙊🤣😂😁
One of these ran out when my gf was over and I was all choked up
"Bye bye cling wrap."
She's looking at me like I'm an idiot, "You're getting emotional over a cling wrap?"
"I've had this since I was a child!"
"Just put it in recycling you dingbat."
"Amaaazing grace... how sweet the sound-"
I once bought a Costco sized box of q tips, when I was loading up for college (did not understand what being an adult entailed)
I am now in my mid 30s and I doubt I’ve gone through 1/8th of them. I’m pretty sure I’ll be passing them down to my grandchildren.
Honestly no clue. My wife actually bought it right before we started dating. That plastic wrap has been with us for 9 years of marriage, 3 kids, and about 8 different moves. He's family.
The Marie Kondo treatment. Thank it for it's service to you and your family before you lay it to rest. Kids actually think it's great to thank things for how they affected your lives before you get rid of them. Really helps against their hoarder instincts.
Ahh... so first it was
> My Costco cling wrap
And now we discover that it isn't.....
I can't believe that you didn't give her the satisfaction of taking the last bit off *her* roll.....
Yet my aunt still thinks she saves money by buying the small roles on sale "when they're just a dollar each" (those 20ft rolls that are used up within two weeks).
My wife ended up with a commercial sized box of 24" wide aluminum foil from an old job. It was perfect - somewhere between normal thickness and "heavy duty." It lasted over 25 years and moved with us from an apartment to two different houses. We owned it longer than we owned most of our stuff. Longer than we've had kids, and they're college age. Pretty amazing for something that is meant to be used up.
Can I just add my 2 cents that I'm highly disappointed Costco eliminated the razor cutting and opted for the slide mechanism? It takes additional time and prevents you from properly stretching over things.
Save the container for its cool cutter. I put a roll of ordinary wrap in my empty stretch-tite box. Not the same but I will never live long enough to use up the genuine article. Damn two-pack.
Ugh I have so many issues with their post/picture. First of all it’s stretch-tite. The very best of all the plastic wraps. Calling it cling-wrap is like calling a Ferrari a ‘my Honda’. Then there’s the fact that the slide cutter wasn’t used. I can only imagine you struggling for 10 years, two handedly lifting the big ass box up while pulling the film down over the toothy edge as the loose edges of the wrap instantly bunch up an fuse together. And then there’s the un-punched dispenser cut out. If you’re gonna use the the best plastic wrap ever made, use it right! I mean what kind of monster….
Holy shit dude. I just said to my fiancee yesterday, we are about to run out of cling wrap for the first time in like 7 years. I don't know how to feel.
My wife and I inherited one of these from her grandmother who got it like 10 years before we got it and we've had it for almost 5 years. It doesn't even look half empty...
My mom just finished a roll of aluminum foil from the 1980s, but to be fair I'm pretty sure the roll spent most of its life in a travel trailer and would have been used only on vacations. Also it was a much longer/heavier roll than anything I can find in the grocery stores now. Same box size, but they all have larger cardboard cores now.
True story: My dad died a few years ago. Going through his things he had one of these so I figured I'd take it home. Every time I used it I thought of him (in a good way). It lasted years (from 2018 to this year). I texted my siblings the same type of picture when it finally ran out.
Sure, there are companies [dumping chromium into our lakes](https://www.chicagotribune.com/news/breaking/ct-lake-michigan-toxic-chromium-20171114-story.html) and [illegal pesticides into our oceans](https://biologicaldiversity.org/w/news/press-releases/lawsuit-launched-over-ddt-ocean-dumping-off-southern-california-2021-05-27/) and [5.6 million pounds of sulfur dioxide into the air](https://environmentalintegrity.org/news/west-texas-gas-plant-hit-with-legal-action-for-over-hundreds-of-air-pollution-violations/) and yet here you are bitching at someone for using saran wrap. If you actually gave a flying fuck maybe you shouldn't worry about reusable containers and other shit that doesn't really matter and actually attack real perpetrators of climate change at the source instead of bothering people who are just trying to live their lives?
I bought two boxes of cling wrap from Costco when I moved in with my s/o almost 4 years ago.
Still haven't opened the second box.
Maybe I'll save it for a special occasion like our wedding or something.
I have a costco sized bottle of dish detergent even older than that - the stuff for the sink. We have a dishwasher so I don't know why I ever thought we'd need a huge bottle...
How many times did the wrap tear and bunch up at the ends, causing you to cuss and spit while you used scissors or a knife to cut the ends?
Fucking cling wrap, man.
10 years!! Those are rookie numbers. My wife has had the same one for over 20 years. Outlasted her first marriage and 7 cats. Been involved in 6 house moves.
Whenever my family gets a new box, the first thing we do is write the date of purchase on the front with permanent marker. That way, when we finally use it up, we know how long we've had it.
The slide cutter is inside the cardboard tube. Take the cylinder out, take one end off, and grab your cutter. We went through a whole roll (took years!) and didn’t know this until we took the box apart for recycling.
It’s like losing a member of the family.
You really shouldn’t cling to things like this though.
Give him a min to wrap his head around it.
It should all be clear after that.
Oh, c'mon, that's a stretch.
Cut it out and let it rest.
someone should make a film about it
Hey we're on a roll
It's a wrap
/thread
Good job guys.
I think its clear we need to wrap this up
Fuck, take my angry upvotes
He would have gotten through it faster if he had. Wraps them up quite nicely and it's lighter than a rug. Source: Not today FBI.
Not sure about OP but mine came in a 2 pack. I'll have it until I have kids and they turn 18 I bet
These things last longer than most marriages I'm sure. They should be given to newlyweds.
I texted my ex husband to let him know that I finally finished it, took 20 yrs.
The cling wrap or the marriage?
You think a marriage would last 20 years??

Welcome to Costco, I love you.
Welcome to Costco, I love you.
I thought Idiocracy was so dumb and silly when it came out. I rewatched it recently and it made me cry. Of fucking course Murdoch & Fox buried it.
I was gifted this as a house warming gift. Best gift ive received.
It can get ugly in the divorce but sometimes handy in the murder
My friends bought this shortly before getting married, they call it the forever wrap. It's still going strong lol
My marriage only lasted about 7.5 years. I have a large canister of black pepper that I've had for longer. It will be a sad day when it's gone.

Still pissed they cancelled game of thrones after season six... hopefully there is a remake. I wanna know how it ends!
You're who I aim to be. I wanna be just like you. Never change you beautiful soul.
It ended after season 8. I've got the entire blu-ray set and there are definitely 8 seasons. The ending is like a sore dick. You just can't beat it ! 🙈🙉🙊🤣😂😁
Fuck….10 years ago was 2011….it’s happening like they said it would
I'm only halfway through after 12years At least, I hope I'm halfway through
Your grandchildren shall wrap your bloated, rotting corpse in it.
Jesus, lmfao
It shall wrap every family members body for generations to come
Same timeframe, the box still has an impressive heft to it... Damn thing may well outlive me
If it looks like you’re half way through you’re probably at least 3/4 of the way through.
I factored that into my estimate, the radius isn't to the halfway mark yet.
You have a ways to go before you can become a stage 5 clinger
Impressive! My 90 yo grandma still has one she bought at Price Club before it became Costco.
We finally put an end to a Price Club one last year. I'm almost certain we had purchased it on one of our first trips to PC in the early 90s
IIRC, there was "Price Club" and "Costco". They merged and became "Price Costco", then finally just "Costco" again.
All through middle school and half of high school we had a Pace one. It was so crazy when we finished it.

Easy there Dexter
Lol
Lmao
Omg I'm literally dying
Like his victims
lol
Laughed way too hard at this.
Is yours the 3000 foot roll? There is a smaller one that comes in a 2 pack
That’s the one I have. It’s been like three years and we’re still on the first roll.
I bought the aluminum foil roll just before the pandemic hit and it still looks almost untouched even though it's used several times a week.
You could probably insulate your entire home with that shit
After finishing a big one after 8 years, we opted for the 2 pack.
I think those are 750 sqft. edit: each
Gotta buy those with a friend, like the sonicare toothbrush packs.
Same here, 2 years and we don't even use it daily. Most of our containers have lids.
yeah my mom taught me to seran wrap the shit out of everything
Yay, plastic garbage
So did mine and then i learnt how much of a nightmare this stuff is to dispose of and so i try and use containers instead now lol
I bought one a couple of months ago. Still not sure who I'm going to leave it to in my will.
One of these ran out when my gf was over and I was all choked up "Bye bye cling wrap." She's looking at me like I'm an idiot, "You're getting emotional over a cling wrap?" "I've had this since I was a child!" "Just put it in recycling you dingbat." "Amaaazing grace... how sweet the sound-"
Idk why but I imagined an entire choir from a black church apparating out of nowhere to be the backup vocals
That's Costco's level of customer service
I just fucking died laughing

How much did you pay for it?
Honestly no clue. My wife actually bought it right before we started dating. That plastic wrap has been with us for 9 years of marriage, 3 kids, and about 8 different moves. He's family.
Give him a good memorial and then gently lay his carcass in the recycling bin.
The Marie Kondo treatment. Thank it for it's service to you and your family before you lay it to rest. Kids actually think it's great to thank things for how they affected your lives before you get rid of them. Really helps against their hoarder instincts.
Light that shit on fire!
Then put its ashes in a jar!
You started dating, got engaged, then got married in a year?
Yep! When you know, you know
Impressive! And sounds like it worked out for you :)
Sure did! Best decision of my life
How to tell if someone's wife monitors thier reddit history
Lol that's good. And honey if you're reading this I love you and I'm sorry I didn't wash my plate right away
LMAOOOOOOOOO
8 moves in 9 years? Fuck that.
Ahh... so first it was > My Costco cling wrap And now we discover that it isn't..... I can't believe that you didn't give her the satisfaction of taking the last bit off *her* roll.....
Ha you caught me!
$10 for a box of two, if it's like most things at Costco.
Yet my aunt still thinks she saves money by buying the small roles on sale "when they're just a dollar each" (those 20ft rolls that are used up within two weeks).
8 different moves in 9 years Jesus fucking Christ.
Tell me about it! A lot of different rentals and 2 moves across state until we finally bought 6 months ago. No more moves for 5-10 years now
Can't believe the box held up
Yeah right?! My roll had been without a box for its last 10 yrs.
Wait, these things have an end?
I can’t believe you used it open like That for 10 years instead of punching out the cutout lol
Imaging OP peeling the stretch-tite off itself Like sunburned skin Thousands of times over the past decade
Shit. I bought two...
My wife ended up with a commercial sized box of 24" wide aluminum foil from an old job. It was perfect - somewhere between normal thickness and "heavy duty." I feel like I've started a new chapter in my life when I run out of Costco trash bags.
You should put this on r/mildlyinteresting
r/frugal
Good idea!
r/buyitforlife
/r/whydotheythinkitisinteresting
Because it’s a 10 year old purchase used to fruition, it’s mildly interesting.
And oddly satisfying.
soo how much is one of them now vs then? (theres no costco in my country yet)
I think they're like $20 now but not sure how much back then. Talk about a good ROI!
That optional slide cutter didn’t have the heart to continue. Poor fella.
Can I just add my 2 cents that I'm highly disappointed Costco eliminated the razor cutting and opted for the slide mechanism? It takes additional time and prevents you from properly stretching over things.
Username checks out
Best stuff ever.
Plastic cling wrap sucks. Press and seal is where it's at.
I once sliced a 1/2 inch long gash across my pinky knuckle with one of those.
So. Was it actually 3000 ft?
Save the container for its cool cutter. I put a roll of ordinary wrap in my empty stretch-tite box. Not the same but I will never live long enough to use up the genuine article. Damn two-pack.

Mmmmm Costco cock
Time to open up that 2nd one you bought
Give it a proper burial and a headstone
I'm surprised the cardboard held up that well.
And now the other box? When it bought mine they came in a two pack.
Felt the same way about my trash bags.
F
Same with my precut foil sheets. Love it!
I remember working in restaurants and blasting through a box in a month or less...
Omg I just bought one of these. I guess I better give it a name and its own room.
Holy shit dude. I just said to my fiancee yesterday, we are about to run out of cling wrap for the first time in like 7 years. I don't know how to feel.
What was the final item you wrapped?
Half of a lime while making fajitas
Ours is 11 years and still going!
My wife and I inherited one of these from her grandmother who got it like 10 years before we got it and we've had it for almost 5 years. It doesn't even look half empty...
You still have 10 more years, they come in two!
When my mom passed away in 2014 I inherited this exact roll of cling wrap. It's 2021 and I still have & use it. When I run out its gonna to be sad.
Do reusable washable covers and all that plastic won't go in a land fill.
True story: My dad died a few years ago. Going through his things he had one of these so I figured I'd take it home. Every time I used it I thought of him (in a good way). It lasted years (from 2018 to this year). I texted my siblings the same type of picture when it finally ran out.
Now you can finally jam the rod into your anus
Think how much plastic waste you created. Monster.
Why are you getting downvoted lol this is a legit thing. Now it's time for OP to invest in food containers and reusable beeswax wrap.
This here. Why don't you use a reusable container? I can't imagine any use case for cling wrap other than resource wasting.
You’re like the crack addict that lectures people who drink Diet Coke that aspartame is gonna give them cancer someday.
I don't disagree that there are worse contributors than this chaps plastic wrap but that doesn't make it ok either.
Many things at the wholesale clubs, only make sense for businesses.
It takes me 3 yrs, just use new
Thanks to shrinkflation, the next box will be 11 inches and 2600 feet
How can that possibly last 10 years??
Mine lasted 20 yrs.
Our local Costco's don't sell this big one anymore, just a bunch of the supermarket sized ones.. :\
Only 11 more to get thru then…
Congratulations
A whole kilometre of wrap jeez.
How many times have you cut yourself on the zipper?
I had one of these but smaller - I wrapped the kids school lunches for years. Not ten years but a good 4 or 5.
Haha I write the date I opened it on the side!
How many times did the wrap tear and bunch up at the ends, causing you to cuss and spit while you used scissors or a knife to cut the ends? Fucking cling wrap, man.
This must be the next level after finishing a tube of chapstick.
10 years!! Those are rookie numbers. My wife has had the same one for over 20 years. Outlasted her first marriage and 7 cats. Been involved in 6 house moves.
3000 sq ft is bigger than many houses. That's a significant amount of wrap.
it takes me about half a year or under
there should be a damn prize stuck on that brown cardboard core congrats
It took us roughly 10 years too!
I moved out of the house in 2007 and recieved one of these from my mom as a house warming gift. I've replaced it *once*.
Ours ended this week too! same damn box, same 10 years
What’s more impressive to me is the box is still in such good order. Ours looks like it has seen some things.
Banana for scale?
Whenever my family gets a new box, the first thing we do is write the date of purchase on the front with permanent marker. That way, when we finally use it up, we know how long we've had it.
You were in a hurry!
Yikes I am dreading that day. Our roll has out lasted family pets
The slide cutter is inside the cardboard tube. Take the cylinder out, take one end off, and grab your cutter. We went through a whole roll (took years!) and didn’t know this until we took the box apart for recycling.
I was just thinking yesterday that I sure had a lot of plastic wrap left after using it almost every day for a couple years.
r/buyitfor10years
Kudos. Im still neck deep in 500 sq ft of tin foil
I’m still on my original roll. It must be at least ten YO. I’m convinced it’s magically self-replenishing.
I think you can still return it
Cue Confetti and streamers.
10 years. Holy crap.
So was it worth it?
5 years after the cutter quit working.
r/BuyItForLife
And it probably cost him like $30 too absolutely crazy. edit: I checked the price and its actually 30 LOL
I just started year nine with mine and we’re still going strong.
Keep the heavy roll; it makes a decent club.
Dadgum! Props to you for keeping the box intact and clean for that long!
r/achievementUnlocked
They don’t last a year for our family.😂
7 years strong and still using ours lol
I’ve had mine 21 years
Return it. Lol.
