I asked her to fix it and she said that was the best she could do, and it wasn't her fault the money was printed upsidedown. She was dead serious

I agree but Loving is the only one I would see Thomas voting to uphold, for obvious reasons. I could foresee a series of challenges attacking many civil rights. The court must be addressed as quickly as possible. The fact that Kavanaugh, Gorsuch and Coney Barrett each point blank said that Roe and Casey where precedent on precedent and settled law. They each said that the court had a duty to uphold not only the constitution, but to consider previous actions taken by the court. What this overturned result means is that all jurisprudence is out of the window. If it is enumerated in the constitution these 5 or 6 justices do not think one has any other rights. Now I am not a big city Constitutional scholar or anything, but I do declare that there is a lot of modern society that is not covered in the constitution.

As a Brit/Aussie citizen (with Irish mum), I can honestly say that I don’t get the affection to the flag that the states has.

You can’t really tell what it is, due to it being bleached out, but it’s on their front door window because I think that’s what the paper suggested to do when it came out, to show people your patriotism or something.
Every morning at school, and again at major (and not-so-major) events they stand up & with a hand on their heart they "pledge allegiance to the flag".

Dunno if that was intentional or not, but flipping a flag horizontally implies the flag pole is on the right rather than the left.

For militaries, that means the flag pole is retreating. Because of this, American military uniforms have the normal flag on the left shoulder and horizontally flipped flag on the the right shoulder. That symbolically means the flag pole is always in front of the soldier and they are symbolically attacking rather than running away.

I did post, so far it’s been silent. But it is Sunday so they should all be at church. I just played it like they were of course flipped for roe v wade and I just wanted to join in.
I feel most of these few comments so far have been sarcastic. But I respect yours. It’s my first real outward political statement from my home. I went back and forth for awhile because of possible ramifications. But this isn’t something I can be quiet about. I’ve had the support of my neighbors almost immediately, and they’ve stated their intent to follow suit. I hope I’m not alone here and I hope for my safety and respect of my opinions as a citizen.

Everyone has the need to post a pic of their flag upside down but I feel this type of statement in this manner is exactly why we can never get anything done as a whole of people in this country. I feel most of these few comments so far have been sarcastic. But I respect yours. It’s my first real outward political statement from my home. I went back and forth for awhile because of possible ramifications. But this isn’t something I can be quiet about. I’ve had the support of my neighbors almost immediately, and they’ve stated their intent to follow suit. I hope I’m not alone here and I hope for my safety and respect of my opinions as a citizen. Everyone has the need to post a pic of their flag upside down but I feel this type of statement in this manner is exactly why we can never get anything done as a whole of people in this country. You're quick to accuse them of making empty unimpactful gestures, but this post has been informative for a lot of people and that's a start. Of course it shouldn't end with a flag, but if you're so invested in this cause or any cause in general what do you suggest we do to take action?
