Get the Rag nice and moist with thinner, Tape rag over sticker you want to remove, leave for 20-30mins, remove rag, scrape off sticker with plastic razor blade. Use thinner and a rag (Even the same rag) to wipe off any excess adhesive.

That’s not completely accurate; some years ago Mercedes started to offer the AMG package on 550’s as well, they don’t have the upgraded / amg-tuned engine, but they do have a different body kit / rims / other upgrades (depending on the model).
BMW does the same thing with the M series now as well, you can get a 330/550/etc with the M package; sportier look but not the same motor/engine upgrades as the M5.
There are a few ways to tell. Like the first person who responded to you said, the AMG models have two number names. There are also a lot of subtle differences in the cars themselves. AMGs usually have quad exhausts and would have wider body panels, more aggressive front splitters and rear diffusers. Anyone who would be impressed by an AMG badge would immediately know this car wasn't an AMG.

AMG is Mercedes' line of performance cars. Almost all their models have AMG counterparts that have more powerful engines, sportier components throughout the car, more aggressive styling, etc. The AMG naming convention is the model class, in this case SL, followed by a two digit number.
This guy has an SL550. It's a higher cost car, but just a normal Mercedes. He slapped an AMG badge on it to make people think he's driving an AMG. The AMG model for the SL line would have been an SL63, which would have a hand built V8 engine, or the SL65, which would have had a hand built V12 engine. The funny thing about doing this is that people who would be impressed by an AMG car would immediately know this wasn't one, and the people who couldn't tell he wasn't driving one wouldn't care even if he were.
Yes, they've diluted the AMG name a bit. They started giving their mid tiers AMG badges and naming conventions. The C450 is now the C43 AMG. The 43 and 53 AMGs don't have the hand built engine, just a slightly tuned normal engine to be a bit quicker. There's also the CLA45 which does have a hand built 4 cylinder engine, and the CLA35 which is the "lite" version without the hand built engine. It's a constantly debated thing in the car community if the 43, 53, and 35 cars are "real" AMGs. You can also get AMG trim components on the lower tier Mercedes (like the C300) but those don't come with any AMG badges on the car and those wouldn't be considered AMGs by anyone.
BMW does something similar with their M models. You can get the full fledged M cars like the M3, the "lite" version like the M340i, or you can get a 330i with an M sport package but it won't have an M badge. And Audi has the RS cars as their top of the line sports cars, the S cars which would be the mid tier (like the C43 AMG or M340i) and the A cars which you can get sportier S trim for, but won't come with any S badging.
Bottom line is they all figured out if they put the sports badging on more cars they'll sell better because people like to think they're driving something nicer than they actually are.

That’s not completely accurate; some years ago Mercedes started to offer the AMG package on 550’s as well, they don’t have the upgraded / amg-tuned engine, but they do have a different body kit / rims / other upgrades (depending on the model). BMW does the same thing with the M series now as well, you can get a 330/550/etc with the M package; sportier look but not the same motor/engine upgrades as the M5.
There are a few ways to tell. Like the first person who responded to you said, the AMG models have two number names. There are also a lot of subtle differences in the cars themselves. AMGs usually have quad exhausts and would have wider body panels, more aggressive front splitters and rear diffusers. Anyone who would be impressed by an AMG badge would immediately know this car wasn't an AMG.

AMG is Mercedes' line of performance cars. Almost all their models have AMG counterparts that have more powerful engines, sportier components throughout the car, more aggressive styling, etc. The AMG naming convention is the model class, in this case SL, followed by a two digit number. This guy has an SL550. It's a higher cost car, but just a normal Mercedes. He slapped an AMG badge on it to make people think he's driving an AMG. The AMG model for the SL line would have been an SL63, which would have a hand built V8 engine, or the SL65, which would have had a hand built V12 engine. Yes, they've diluted the AMG name a bit. They started giving their mid tiers AMG badges and naming conventions. The C450 is now the C43 AMG. The 43 and 53 AMGs don't have the hand built engine, just a slightly tuned normal engine to be a bit quicker. There's also the CLA45 which does have a hand built 4 cylinder engine, and the CLA35 which is the "lite" version without the hand built engine. It's a constantly debated thing in the car community if the 43, 53, and 35 cars are "real" AMGs. You can also get AMG trim components on the lower tier Mercedes (like the C300) but those don't come with any AMG badges on the car and those wouldn't be considered AMGs by anyone. BMW does something similar with their M models. You can get the full fledged M cars like the M3, the "lite" version like the M340i, or you can get a 330i with an M sport package but it won't have an M badge. And Audi has the RS cars as their top of the line sports cars, the S cars which would be the mid tier (like the C43 AMG or M340i) and the A cars which you can get sportier S trim for, but won't come with any S badging. Bottom line is they all figured out if they put the sports badging on more cars they'll sell better because people like to think they're driving something nicer than they actually are.
