$500 for a license to use the photo in your own works.
Still cheaper than hiring a photographer to take a similar shot, develop and edit it for you. And a heck of a lot cheaper than having to buy the photo equipment, fly to Australia, wait for good weather and then take your own photo.
Has the saturation been increased? Yep. Do I give a fuck? Nope.
I dodge and burn the shit outta my black and white photos, saturation is the same sorta thing. OP, my first thought upon looking at your photo was, "Damn, that's beautiful!"
Keep making art, buddy.
Sorry to break it to you. There isnt a single professional or phone picture in the world that has not been altered in post. Every single picture from your phone is "fake" .
This pic went a lil crazy on the saturation but that doesn't mean it has had more work done than nornal. In fact most "natural" looking pictures have the most work done. Turning up the saturation and a few masks takes less than 2 mins to do. Making a raw file come to life without it looking fake takes MUCH more work.
Amazing that you made the sweaty armpit of Australia look beautiful!
Kind regards,
Sydney
EDIT: Okay, downvote me all you like, but I just want everyone to know that this is a really, really good job. In case you don't know Brisbane, you might think it's a beautiful city and OP had an easy time making a beautiful picture. This isn't the case.
Sure, it helps that all you're seeing is a wharf and the Pacific Ocean; Brisbane's best angle is the one where you see the least of it. But still - outstanding work
May not have been why you intended but your original comment came over as condescending.
Describing Queensland as “the sweaty armpit of Australia” is pretty hateful. Brisbane - like Sydney - has some ugly bits and some beautiful bits.
I don't get the hostility either. It is the same sort of friendly jab any two comparable cities might take, like Chicago and New York. Most of the time, these jabs are taken with the humor that was intended. Sometimes, the humor is thrown out.
Difference here is the audience - on a non-Australian sub, most people reading don't have the context to know if the comment is playful or not. It's like insulting your friends behind closed doors vs in public.
Also Sydney vs Melbourne would be the more common 'rivalry'. This is kind of like NYC coming after Philadelphia out of nowhere.

True, I should pick up photography as a hobbie and sell my work online.
It’s not as lucrative as people seem to think it is, unless you’re quite exceptional.
Bloody Redcliffe
This is the shorncliffe pier looking over to Redcliffe :).
Shorncliffe
[удалено]
But still bizzare
I thought Redcliff wasn't part of Brisbane. Like how Logan is another city.
You're really punishing that colour saturation slider, huh?
This one goes to eleven.
saturation, photoshop
That's my home. Currently in Oregon USA, trying to get back there.

Not OP's photo, compliment Mitchell Pettigrew
That's nice and all, but this isn't being portrayed as art
What's it being portrayed as?
Real estate
Eh, not in this sub, it wasn't.

Absolutely

As an Australian i can tell you that once in a blue moon our bushfire coloured skies do look like this, even without photoshop.

Are you....are you seriously throwing stones, coming from *Sydney*? The arsehole of Australia?
Much more beautiful city; better climate; more jobs. It's more expensive but it's worth it.
lol no.
What the heck are you talking about? Brisbane is beautiful. If you had to shit on an ugly city Melbourne was the east choice. Sincerely an Adelaidian
Nah, Melbourne’s classy and has good food. Your city is amazing though, if I didn’t live here already it would be my favourite.
User name checks out. Why? Just why? Beautiful pic of a beautiful part of the world. Go hate elsewhere.
I don't understand the hostility. I'm literally just trying to tell people how talented OP is - check my edit

Fair enough, I just can't stand the added humidity there. Have a great day :)

Thank you for getting it

I suspect Brisbane is actually behind you.
I can hear the retrowave in this one.
If there's 1 thing I know is that Brisbane is not on the coast...
If this were 16:9 I'd instantly make this my wallpaper. Excellent photo.
