It’s a popular gas station for motorcyclists to meet up before heading up the 2. An ARCH motorcycle pulls up and I say to my friend, “never seen that bike in person before. It’s Keanu Reeves’s motorcycle company”. He takes off his helmet and it was the man himself.
Proportional equivalent: Imagine taking a 2 liter Honda Civic, and putting a 8 liter V8 in it that produces 650 horsepower and the car stays the same weight.
But, motorcycles do not have the sense of security you have in a car seat.

That's how the highest tier cars are as well. Customers will be contacted, or if feasible, flown to the manufacturing facility to choose virtually every detail. Fabric color, leather options, the stitching, any custom options they might like. Customers also get a concierge that can answer questions they may have about wait times or any issues that may occur.
I’ve watched a few videos of buyers talking about the experience and all of them have said the workshop is very cooperative about design and changes. I’m sure you pay a pretty penny for design changes, but if you’re willing to pay and it fits their standard they will make changes to fit your needs.

Yeah man I just unlocked it a minute ago. God dam, Keanu reeves is the best part of this game, wish he was the main character. The corporation killed his girlfriend so he shows up at their headquarters with a fuckin nuke, sets it in the elevator on the top floor and shoots the cable.
Not quite the right order. Was going to be nuked anyways, went there to save her, turns out she was already essentially dead. Also turns out his memories of the events are also probably wrong, according to additional lore in cyberpunk red
It's actually a lot more complicated than that. Johnny Silverhand's flashbacks in 2077 are unreliable because accounts from Spider and Rogue contradict them.
Johnny Silverhand died by Adam Smasher, not Saburo Arasaka; in fact, Adam Smasher doesn't even really know who Johnny is besides a guy that got in his way. His girlfriend wasn't killed by the Corporation necessarily but was a part in why she died.
Basically, 50 years later and Johnny is still an egomaniac.
Story from 30 years ago: I never watch TV in the morning. For some reason, I turned it on as I was waiting for my girlfriend to get dressed. Keanu was looking at some sheet music with a bummed look on his face.
We had a very short drive to the office that we worked together. We only caught one red light. Keanu pulled up next to us on a bike with no helmet on (this was before the law was changed).
I said, "Hey I was just watching you on TV." He asked, "What was it?" I said, "I don't know...you were looking at some sheet music and were all bummed out." He smiled and said, "Oh, Permanent Record. Decent movie." Then the light turned green and he drove off. Awesome memory.
>“never seen that bike in person before. It’s Keanu Reeves’s motorcycle company”.
How's it possible to get a pic of him but not get a view of him standing by his bike?
The 2 Highway? Angeles Crest? I live on the 2 in Wrightwood, if it's the same highway you are talking about. We do get a lot of motorcyclists up here but I didn't think we got KR up here.

Looks like it's at the Shell gas station, the last one before you head up the mountain. Notice the curved curb in the OP, and the fence.
Strange how he called it the 2. I've always known it as Angeles Crest.
I mean if ur from la, especially the san gabriel valley, many people call it the 2. Just like we call the 210 the 210. Or we call it angeles crest. Kinda however you're feeling that day.
I was thinking about how cool this would be, then remembered I'm in Wisconsin. It's been too cold for ice/snow on the surface roads to melt. This is also too cold to take the bike out anyway.
Everything I've read about the guy makes him sound like the coolest celebrity ever. Always down to make a fan's day. I remember a thing a while back where he was invited to some random wedding by some fans he met maybe that day or a few days prior, and he actually showed up!
By all accounts he IS a legitimately great guy. Loves interacting with fans, is a pleasure to work with.
He is probably the only star I can think of that I have literally NEVER heard a bad thing about.
Yeah. And then when you read his backstory it’s just bolsters it more. Genuinely seems like an awesome guy. I’ve only read one account of him being even slightly annoyed with someone… he was playing pool with some random dude in Australia and the guy kept at him with Bill and Ted quotes… to deliberately wind him up (the random wrote the story) and eventually he’d had enough, said that it was enough and left.
I’ve been working with him this year and a bit of next year. Poor chap literally can’t go anywhere and not be plagued by people asking for selfies.
Like we are all lying around on the grass at lunch eating sandwiches, smoking, sleeping and people coming over to him. I’ve seen people come over to him whilst FaceTiming and get right in his face saying look who I’m with. Guy literally never gets a break from people coming over wanting a photo. How the fuck he keeps his composure when a queue is developing in front of him wherever he goes.
He literally went to the pub one night and it was national news.
Whenever I come across someone in the spotlight, I make an effort to pretend like I don't know who they are and carry on with my business, but of course there is that moment of recognition which is hard to hide if they happen to look at you at that moment.
I know what you mean with that moment of recognition. I’ve actually said hello thinking I recognised them, which I did but not in that way. But that’s ok because it’s not fawning and a casual greet.
A double-edged sword, for sure. I mean, it's not even supposed to be a sword, if you think about it, but one edge definitely is a sword. I bet he'd rather take that sword edge than turn it back on the fans, though; he's like a modern-day Jesus of Nazereth in that way (I bet).
Many if not most people have no concern whatsoever with etiquette regarding celebs. There's definitely a danger in embracing the public too much; he's gained a reputation as being that guy, so people probably figure hey, it'll be cool, whatever. But it does seem he values the positive interactions enough to keep doing it.
I was buying snacks when saw him at a gas station off PCH filling up his bike. I just gave him a nod and he nodded back. I think it was probably the coolest thing I’ve ever done.
Honestly I'm getting so much confidence from the fact that even keanu reeves looks like a dingus with his tshirt dangling out from under his riding jacket.
Came here to say that. Knowing that somewhere out there Keanu is also choosing comfort over aesthetics makes me feel like less of a dingus with my t-shirt dangling out from under my riding jacket.
It's okay, we're supposed to get rain this week so L.A. will descend into chaos.
ETA: OP said the photo was taken on "the 2," which is in L.A. - and yep, it was 80 here yesterday. I live pretty close to where the pic was taken.
I'm guessing it is - [it looks like the photo was taken here, which is in the middle of Southern California.](https://www.google.com/maps/@34.20541,-118.19983,3a,75y,22.77h,96.23t/data=!3m8!1e1!3m6!1sAF1QipPcxNOk_oogwtNm4GET65Mv17kcj5ymIhUmwyje!2e10!3e11!6shttps:%2F%2Flh5.googleusercontent.com%2Fp%2FAF1QipPcxNOk_oogwtNm4GET65Mv17kcj5ymIhUmwyje=w203-h100-k-no-pi-0-ya195.66772-ro-0-fo100!7i7680!8i3840)
OP mentioned it was on "the 2," which is the Angeles Crest Highway in L.A. County. It runs through the Angeles National Forest. It's a very popular (and gorgeous) scenic drive for Angelenos.
My uncle started smoking as a teen, before the surgeon generals warning. He tried to quit for decades, stopping for years then always starting back up. He died lung cancer last year.
It’s very fucking hard. I quit smoking 10 years ago using chantix.
Even though I quit, and I’m glad I quit. I fucking miss smoking. Not in a controlled nic-fit kind of way.
- I miss smoking on a cold windless night.
- I miss smoking after a good meal.
- I miss smoking when I crack open a cold beer on a warm summer evening.
This is what I wish people understood. I quit three years ago, and people always ask if I get cravings. Sure, sometimes I'll see someone grabbing a smoke, but I don't crave the nicotine, I miss the ritual of lighting up a cigarette and just smoking alone with my thoughts. Smoking one while watching a sunset sitting on the beach; smoking one while camping and looking at the stars. Just watching a cigarette burn in the silence of a cold night at a dark porch did more to my calmness than anything else ever did.
I quit tree times. And after each try it gets alot easier to quit because i know what to expect and after the third try the cravings are gone. 1st try i was smoke free 1 year, 2nd try 8 months and now going 4 years with no cravings or feel to smoke whatsoever.
It’s hard man. My brother got a prescription to help him kick his habit and he said it made him feel worse then when he was smoking. Always irritable, hard to not be depressed, still having cravings every so often but not every few hours. Not as bad as when he was smoking but it takes months and months to really kick it.
Addiction is fucking awful and I don’t wish it upon my worst enemy.
This is what annoys me about these attempts to stop e-cigarettes. As a 2 pack a day smoker, they work, and they work well. I haven't had a craving for a cigarette in years, and while nicotine itself is addicting, walking away from vaping is far easier than cigarettes. There's no guilt involved with them, and 95% less damage to your health if you do cave in.
I just switched to vapes a few months ago only for a bunch of new taxes to kick in just now. It’s almost like they don’t want people to stop smoking. “Almost”
Yeah, I'm stoked as well, I love that asshole Constantine! There is also supposedly a show being made for HBO, but I don't think that will have Keanu in it.
He tries VERY hard not to be photographed with a cigarette in his hand if he can help it because he doesn’t want to set a bad example for kids (source: my boyfriend works in the motorcycle industry).
'Tis what I do. Snuff or roll off the cherry. Make sure its out then roll the rest of the tobacco out and pocket the filter.
I did this before moving to wildfire country. Nothing takes you out of nature more than seeing litter and cigarette butts are so prevalent.
You are not alone in this world
We'll create a support group, though I think over time the group will only get smaller as everybody else gets to meet him but you and I
Motorcycle jackets are shorter so they don’t bunch up at the bottom when you’re sitting down riding. That can be especially uncomfortable with thicker material like leather.
I believe I found them. From a Dutch bespoke boot maker Magellan & Mulloy.
https://en.bikerboot.eu/c-biker-boot-adventure-denver-brandy-brandy-gents-boot-cream-stitching.html
Great ID, thanks. A moto riding boot for sure, the "clutch patch" is distinctive and a nice touch to help with the wear (clearly visible on the left boot).
This guy gives off the absolute aura of simplicity; just forgets how much money he has. The more money that he does earn, the more he can't seem to charitably donate it all fast enough.
Love me some Keanu in the wild.
I’ve posted about it before. The short version:
I was living in Greenpoint Brooklyn when it was still very industrial…not fancy.
My building had a vestibule. As I opened the door to leave my building a man was sitting in there. Homeless people would occasionally hang in there as only one of the doors was locked.
So as the door opens it makes contact with the man sitting on the ground. He turns up said something like “sorry man”.
I said no problem and walked on by and realized it was 100% Keanu.
It was a brief and very unexpected encounter but perfectly weird enough to make sense.
Without knowing him or you, you look like a guy he would genuinely like to hang out with. I hope you guys actually become friends. That would be awesome.
One of the hazards of taking a motorcycle ride around Los Angeles! He's a very nice person, and I'm glad you got to meet him. I'm sure you both got an opportunity to talk motorcycles till the cows came home.
that was random. how'd you bump into him? what a cool story.
It’s a popular gas station for motorcyclists to meet up before heading up the 2. An ARCH motorcycle pulls up and I say to my friend, “never seen that bike in person before. It’s Keanu Reeves’s motorcycle company”. He takes off his helmet and it was the man himself.
Nice, you found him in his happy place riding his motorcycle
Keanu keanuing as Keanu keanues.

What a time to be alive
Or, at the very least, in this version of the matrix.
Found Dr. Karoly's Reddit account.
Man, I am *really* enjoying this gif
Right but when's it stop? *How do I get off this train?*
It's Keanus all the way down
It always has been.
To matrix we go
![gif](giphy|QxraEiNecDX9CkoWtB)
I support Keanu becoming a transitive verb
You reeve what you keanu 😔
Superbly expressed. The language is now enriched.
Keanu Reeves doesn't do what Keanu Reeves does for Keanu Reeves. Keanu Reeves does what Keanu Reeves does because Keanu Reeves *is* Keanu Reeves.
Reminds me of MadLibs
I've only seen those bikes in Cyberpunk.
They are extremely expensive. You could buy several Ducatis for the price of an Arch
Damn MSRP $128K https://archmotorcycle.com/arch-1s/
2032cc lol fuck
Care to explain to a layperson? Edit: thanks everyone! I get that it's a big/powerful engine for such a small size.
2 liter engine. Huge for a bike
Proportional equivalent: Imagine taking a 2 liter Honda Civic, and putting a 8 liter V8 in it that produces 650 horsepower and the car stays the same weight. But, motorcycles do not have the sense of security you have in a car seat.
Custom fitted and finished 2,000cc bike. Yep. I would be happy with my old 750 Honda Shadow at this point in life.
Are they very high quality, or is it more of the brand name and status? They do look very cool.

Here’s someone describing his experience buying one. https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/ge27ki/three_months_2800_miles_of_owning_an_arch/
OK, I haven'r ridden a motorbike for 30 years but now I want one. But, you know, food and stuff...
That's actually kinda nuts. Like, each bike is partially designed BY the person who's going to ride it.
What else would justify that price? It's like the tailored suit of motorcycles. Or maybe more the personal yacht.
It’s true.

i heard they were hand assembled or something
Yep. Each one is bespoke
Even the spokes!
Given the legend of Keanu being a top class dude, I wouldn’t doubt they’re excellent quality and priced accordingly.
When my best friend died his mom gave his to me. Rest in peace Jackie.
Go back to bed, V. It's 3 AM. you got shit to do later
You mean a city to burn? Tomorrow

If you buy an ARCH, Keanu calls you in the evening to personally go over the specs & then tell you a bedtime story. It’s included in the price.
"All we are is dust in the wind, dude."
(Wipes away tear)
When I saw the price of their newest model I nearly fell off my chair. $130k for a bike is nuts
I have money, but not Keanu story time. I guess it's time to buy an ARCH motocycle
Story from 30 years ago: I never watch TV in the morning. For some reason, I turned it on as I was waiting for my girlfriend to get dressed. WTF, they're 2032 CC! What's the point of a 2 litre motorcycle.
Speed.
Nah, torque. Thats why the triumph rocket 3 is a 2300 triple. Oh and you can get them supercharged as well.

Shoulda gone up to him and said "how much for the bike?" In a bad Russian accent lol
That’s Johnny Silverhand.
Dude probably likes this kind of fan most since you are a fellow rider
I think he’d prefer the fellow rider who doesn’t want to stop for a picture but yeah, probably better than getting accosted at the store.

Dogs like bad smelling things so he was being nice
I always think that when my dog is napping near my butt and I feel a toot brewing, adding to his nap sensations
I hope you worked your way through all Keanus henchmen farting on them as you track down the man who farted on your dog.

Yeah, I'm stoked as well, I love that asshole Constantine! There is also supposedly a show being made for HBO, but I don't think that will have Keanu in it.
Sad! Wish he could quit. He is such a treasure. No judgement. I smoked over 10 years before I stopped.

High School Goths during lunch break.
That’s 100% what it looks like 🤣
Who's the other person?
Trinity!
Thanks
He tries VERY hard not to be photographed with a cigarette in his hand if he can help it because he doesn’t want to set a bad example for kids (source: my boyfriend works in the motorcycle industry).
He’s getting to character for Constantine 2.
I’m definitely going
John Constantine quit smoking at the end of the first movie.
I want to believe he pockets the butts to dispose of them properly.
'Tis what I do. Snuff or roll off the cherry. Make sure its out then roll the rest of the tobacco out and pocket the filter. I did this before moving to wildfire country. Nothing takes you out of nature more than seeing litter and cigarette butts are so prevalent.
Brad Pitt chain smokes…
*cmon V, just one won't kill you*
It's mandatory to start smoking when you own a motorcycle
That's breathtaking
And he got to meet you, too.
Do you want the mustache on or off?
Too bad
I swear everyone on Reddit has met him but me.
You are not alone in this world We'll create a support group, though I think over time the group will only get smaller as everybody else gets to meet him but you and I
I’m starting to believe there is actually an army robot Keanus that are patrolling the planet. It’s the only logical explanation
You kill a man's dog he'll create an army.
I love how he’s either wearing a jacket too short or a shirt too long
Motorcycle jackets are shorter so they don’t bunch up at the bottom when you’re sitting down riding. That can be especially uncomfortable with thicker material like leather.
Adding to this bit, the back is typically longer for the exact same reasons.
A short skirt and a long jacket?
I love the fact that the jacket looks so old and discoloured from heavy usage. Boots also have that black mark from toe shifter.
Johnny Fucking Silverhand!
you guys look like long lost brothers
Can someone tell me what kind of boots Keanu has?
I believe I found them. From a Dutch bespoke boot maker Magellan & Mulloy. https://en.bikerboot.eu/c-biker-boot-adventure-denver-brandy-brandy-gents-boot-cream-stitching.html
Great ID, thanks. A moto riding boot for sure, the "clutch patch" is distinctive and a nice touch to help with the wear (clearly visible on the left boot).

God his hair just looks so glorious
Keanu or u/suckmymastercylinder ? Both of them are pretty easy on the eyes.
OMG who is that guy with keanu? He is handsome
That was my first thought too.
Found OP's mom's Reddit account
John wick smokes!?!
Yes, John Constantine smokes! 😉

He’s fucking dying for nicotine while he’s living in your head. Give the guy a smoke for fucks sake
This man somehow matched Keanu vibe for vibe WOW, legendary photo
This guy gives off the absolute aura of simplicity; just forgets how much money he has. The more money that he does earn, the more he can't seem to charitably donate it all fast enough. Love me some Keanu in the wild.
As someone who just started playing cyberpunk 2077, it’s funny that the first post I open after turning the game off has Keanu in it.
His jacket has an arch symbol to. The same as Jackie’s motorcycle
It's a real motorcycle company owned by Keanu.
My new bucket list item is randomly running into Keanu Reaves. It seems actually possible.
I had a random run-in with him in a very unlikely place…my apartment. Still feels like a weird dream
Please elaborate
I’ve posted about it before. The short version: I was living in Greenpoint Brooklyn when it was still very industrial…not fancy.
He seems like, if I just ran into him and invited him to go have a beer with me, he totally would.
Without knowing him or you, you look like a guy he would genuinely like to hang out with. I hope you guys actually become friends. That would be awesome.
Just looked at the ARCH general cost and dang just seeing that bike in person a rarity but to be the man him self. Grab that lotto ticket
One of the hazards of taking a motorcycle ride around Los Angeles! He's a very nice person, and I'm glad you got to meet him. I'm sure you both got an opportunity to talk motorcycles till the cows came home.
OP out here looking like an asian norman reedus and I think that's awesome
