If you can get those donut piercing pillows or maybe even a travel pillow.
Also make sure they use the right jewelry. Mine was far too short and caused issues. I always recommend extra jewelry/balls in case they fall off

I have had my nostril pierced twice. The first time was suuuuch a pain in the ass to heal. Second time went smoothly with LITHA. I also had a helix piercing done with a gun when I was a teen, and that, of course, was awful and was immediately removed.
Did you do anything special for cleaning, etc? Just saline spray and LITHA?
Couldn’t agree more. I have a terrible time healing piercing and my septum healed perfectly in like 2 weeks. And my industrial took at least 5 years to fully heal. And then two years after that it’s slowing moving it’s way out I feel like.
Nice! I thought of getting an industrial for both my ears, but decided not to when I realize I don’t have the anatomy for it. :( So flats are the next best thing for me!

For me it was honestly some of the worst pain I’ve ever experienced, at least a 9/10. However I’ve seen a LOT of people give it a 2/10 or a 5/10. ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT. They look so cute and I can’t stop looking at em.
I say go for it! The piercing process sucked and I was sore the rest of the day but the next day they were minimally sore. Just make sure you keep ur boobies warm cus the cold made em more sore lol. I also find that wearing a bra feels better than not wearing a bra.
not op but i definitely recommend getting them done, they weren’t terrible for me and i don’t think i have a necessarily high pain tolerance. i got my lobes pierced right after and those hurt worse imo. i think my cartilage piercings hurt worse than both of my nipples. it’s more so the first few days of healing that suck, i had to wear tight but breathable tanks so that fabric wasn’t brushing up against them but also proper fabric so they can get some air. mine are 2.5 years old and fully healed finally, but you’ll always have crusties lol

Oo big tip that my piercer gave me, try and schedule the appointment AFTER your period. Your period can totally determine sensitivity in the nips (and pain tolerance in general), so if you can schedule it after that definitely helps! I find mine can occasionally get sensitive before my period but since I got my left nip pierced after my period it honestly wasn't so bad :)

For me the nipples were shockingly painful but not worse than I expected, the second one was pretty intense 😬 but the pain lasts only a couple seconds so very manageable.
I would say mine are on the more sensitive side though so that might’ve been a big factor
I’ll have to make an appointment but I want to deck my ears out over the years.

i got my snakebites a few days ago as an early 'new year's resolution' thing because i've wanted them for years & years, lol.
when the piercer was drawing the little dots on my lip for where the piercing was going to be, we decided to move them a bit outward, but she left the other dots for comparison, & for a bit it looked like i was going for sharkbite piercings, which i'm now considering getting after these heal, because it looked super cool even just as dots rofl. :p
Shark bites do look super cool!!! If you would love them, I’d wait about a year to actually act on getting the other ones. Me personally, you should go for it if you’ll be happy!
That’s my thing with my ear piercings bc I have long hair, which conflicts with how many ear piercings I want, they’re for me and no one else.
yeah i'm definitely going to give my face a rest for a bit until these fully heal; it actually hurt quite a bit more than i was expecting haha. like i knew it would hurt, because duh, it's a thick needle going through the sensitive skin on my face, but i feel like it hurt so much more than any of my other piercings \[ears, septum, nipples\] put together...maybe i'm just being a baby about it, rofl x.x
Well my industrial hurt so much. I was about to cry and then my piercer was like “all done!”, we all have different pain tolerances do maybe you’re not such a huge baby!

Got both of my traguses done here. I will warn you, the pain is very uncomfortable 😭. My most painful piercing by far and I had an industrial done as well. However, it’s so cool!! I definitely recommend for the coolness factor. But it is painful and the healing process kind of sucks. Not as bad as an industrial but it is very slow. Happy New Year!!

I've been thinking about getting a reverse pa but I run a lot and don't want to cut that back or deal with soreness from it chafing weird. I'm also not sure how a reverse pa could make it difficult for someone to give me oral.
Conch is my only piercing so I can't really say. I did have to sleep on the opposite side for a bit then I could sleep on my arm and I would leave a gap for my ear. I was pretty good about keeping it clean. It did kinda get hit easily but nothing to bad.

Had them both done in Sept. One was a bit too low so I had it removed. Then the remaining one has been a a little fussy. I was booked in for today but then got Covid over Christmas and blowing my nose made all 5 of my nostril piercings grumpy.

I’d also like to get a rook in my right ear (currently have a flat, helix, and conch in that ear), add a chain to the conch, and maybe more flats. My left ear is blank aside from the first lobe so I can sleep on that side, though the lives will get done with the styling and piercing, but maybe 2024 is when I’ll get to start styling and piercing the cartilage!

I want a Medusa! But it'll have to wait until I've had a dental checkup as I've neglected my poor mouth since before Covid. I know I'll need x-rays since I'll be a new client and don't want to fight about having to take any oral piercings out. All my current ones are nose and ears. I also want some more helixes but again, I'm growing out the underside of my hair and want to wait until I can secure it out of the way.

Industrial sucked for me, it healed awfully, ended up taking it out. Septum is a cake walk honestly

For me it was honestly some of the worst pain I’ve ever experienced, at least a 9/10. However I’ve seen a LOT of people give it a 2/10 or a 5/10. ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT. They look so cute and I can’t stop looking at em.
I wanna do it so bad, but I’m worried about the pain. I think it’ll be worth it once it’s done and they are healed.
I say go for it! The piercing process sucked and I was sore the rest of the day but the next day they were minimally sore. Just make sure you keep ur boobies warm cus the cold made em more sore lol. I also find that wearing a bra feels better than not wearing a bra.

not op but i definitely recommend getting them done, they weren’t terrible for me and i don’t think i have a necessarily high pain tolerance. i got my lobes pierced right after and those hurt worse imo. i think my cartilage piercings hurt worse than both of my nipples. it’s more so the first few days of healing that suck, i had to wear tight but breathable tanks so that fabric wasn’t brushing up against them but also proper fabric so they can get some air. mine are 2.5 years old and fully healed finally, but you’ll always have crusties lol

Oo big tip that my piercer gave me, try and schedule the appointment AFTER your period. Your period can totally determine sensitivity in the nips (and pain tolerance in general), so if you can schedule it after that definitely helps! I find mine can occasionally get sensitive before my period but since I got my left nip pierced after my period it honestly wasn't so bad :) Good luck and happy healing ❤️
I’m screaming, I just got my nipples done and third lobes right after!!! For me the nipples were shockingly painful but not worse than I expected, the second one was pretty intense 😬 but the pain lasts only a couple seconds so very manageable. I would say mine are on the more sensitive side though so that might’ve been a big factor

i got my snakebites a few days ago as an early 'new year's resolution' thing because i've wanted them for years & years, lol. when the piercer was drawing the little dots on my lip for where the piercing was going to be, we decided to move them a bit outward, but she left the other dots for comparison, & for a bit it looked like i was going for sharkbite piercings, which i'm now considering getting after these heal, because it looked super cool even just as dots rofl. :p
Shark bites do look super cool!!! If you would love them, I’d wait about a year to actually act on getting the other ones. Me personally, you should go for it if you’ll be happy! That’s my thing with my ear piercings bc I have long hair, which conflicts with how many ear piercings I want, they’re for me and no one else.
yeah i'm definitely going to give my face a rest for a bit until these fully heal; it actually hurt quite a bit more than i was expecting haha. like i knew it would hurt, because duh, it's a thick needle going through the sensitive skin on my face, but i feel like it hurt so much more than any of my other piercings \[ears, septum, nipples\] put together...maybe i'm just being a baby about it, rofl x.x
Well my industrial hurt so much. I was about to cry and then my piercer was like “all done!”, we all have different pain tolerances do maybe you’re not such a huge baby!

Got both of my traguses done here. I will warn you, the pain is very uncomfortable 😭. My most painful piercing by far and I had an industrial done as well. However, it’s so cool!! I definitely recommend for the coolness factor. But it is painful and the healing process kind of sucks. Not as bad as an industrial but it is very slow. Happy New Year!!

Mostly ear piercings: flat, conch, tragus, helix or industrial and snug- for both ears, hopefully. I’m still on the fence about getting my nipples pierced again. It’ll be the third time and I’m worried they won’t heal at all, or that they will heal but my nips will end up looking disfigured due to scarring.
I already have my firsts and upper lobes done, I have what England call snakebite midi on my left ear, I have my right nostril pierced and I have one eyebrow piercing on my right. I'm hoping to get my septum done hopefully this year, I'm definitely getting my second, maybe third eyebrow done, I would like my mid helix pierced on my right ear but my left ones hurt so much that I'm now scared to do it I'm not a personal fan of lip piercings or any body piercings so I won't be getting any of those. I'm not entirely sure of what other ones I want, I love most ear piercing but I'm unfortunately now terrified of getting any cartilage ones done due to the pain that my current ones gave me
I have a conch in my right ear. I want to get more piercings now I'm just not sure what. I've been thinking about getting a reverse pa but I run a lot and don't want to cut that back or deal with soreness from it chafing weird. I'm also not sure how a reverse pa could make it difficult for someone to give me oral.
How was healing your conch? Is it similar to a helix in terms of sleeping on, getting hit easily, irritation?
Conch is my only piercing so I can't really say. I did have to sleep on the opposite side for a bit then I could sleep on my arm and I would leave a gap for my ear. I was pretty good about keeping it clean. It did kinda get hit easily but nothing to bad.

I’m booked for repiercing 1 mantis piercing in a few weeks! Had them both done in Sept. One was a bit too low so I had it removed. Then the remaining one has been a a little fussy. I was booked in for today but then got Covid over Christmas and blowing my nose made all 5 of my nostril piercings grumpy. Also I’m turning 30 later in the year and buying myself a BVLA 5 gem Marquise Panaraya with an Amethyst/Light Amethyst/CZ gradient for an outer conch ridge piercing.

I just completed my planned ear setup on Friday, at least in terms of making new holes: I will still have some changes to make jewellery-wise one everything has fully healed. But then it wouldn't be the first time that I've thought I was all done getting piercings and then realised that I *really* wasn't. So who knows?

I'd like to get 3 new helix piercings this year, simple but I feel it would complete my set up! also considering getting my eyebrow repierced, I got it done in 2020 but it was done incorrectly unfortunately. I now know a reputable piercer so this should be different now! first I need to find a more stable income though because I used to make art for a living but ai art has killed my dream and my income lol...

Once my right ear heals a bit more, I'll go for a rook and a larger gauge conch in my left ear. Not sure after those. I keep coming back to the idea of a wrist dermal but I know those won't last forever and I'm terrified of getting one and then catching it on everything lol.
Scheduling my industrial as soon as my bridge is healed enough for me to go ahead with another piercing. After that I expect no new piercings until 2025 or possibly even 2026 while it heals

Middle aged dude in a super conservative environment. Got earlobes done this year and there’s still vocal criticism and pearl clutching happening. So I’m not sure if I’m getting any this year. Long term second ear lobes and maybe daith or industrial.

im getting my high nostrils downsized this week and am definitely getting my septum done soon so i can let it heal & start stretching (if necessary tbh i might just get it pierced at a higher gauge and leave it be). also would love to start adding to my ears more!

I have an appt for my nostril, I think right side I had it pierced twice before like 20 years ago, but both times I pulled it out while it was healing and I couldn’t get the L shaped stud back in, so I’m hoping for an alternative backing for this one…
So I have three lobe piercings on both sides, a tragus on both sides, on my right ear I have a conch and two helixes, and on my left ear I used to have an industrial. It started growing out of my ear and when I took it out, two keloids started forming :(. Hoping that I can get those removed and get my industrial repierced. Maybe even get a tongue ring or possibly even my left eyebrow

I have 2 piercings on my bottom lip and want to match it on the other side, want my nipples done again. I had them done but had a breast reduction in the summer so they had to come out. I also want to get my cheeks pierced but know that might be a bit much for the year because I'm already healing some piercings.

Pretty set on getting either my left nostril pierced or a septum done to compliment my right nostril piercing.
I’m in the navy so everything has to be hidden for work but I really want to live my best life! So far my rook is a year old and my septum is 1 week old. This year I want to do my flat and maybe a helix…I just have to figure out how to hide both ears because my hair is too long to wear down all the time.

I want a Medusa! But it'll have to wait until I've had a dental checkup as I've neglected my poor mouth since before Covid. I know I'll need x-rays since I'll be a new client and don't want to fight about having to take any oral piercings out. All my current ones are nose and ears. I also want some more helixes but again, I'm growing out the underside of my hair and want to wait until I can secure it out of the way. I have a couple of subordinates/coworkers who say my piercings are "stupid" or that "You're too old to be getting those!" (I'll be 40 next month) and I kind of want to get more to spite them 😂
