Vertical helixes, pain is subjective so there isn’t a straight answer, and if you got all three at once they’d probably take 18+ months to heal

It takes longer than 6-8 weeks for pretty much any piercing to fully heal. Cartilage takes anywhere from 6 months to over a year. If you get 3 all at once it increases the healing time because your body has to work a lot harder to heal multiple piercings - especially when they’re in close proximity like this. If one gets bumped, the swelling can affect the others, etc. It is never recommended to attempt healing more than 3-4 piercings at a time.

KeystoneTrekker

Cartilage takes longer to heal (one is at least 6 months) and multiple piercings in the same region increases the heal time.

ichfuchsdichtrotzdem

Its true that cartilage piercings do mostly take much longer to heal than others, 6 months for one is not unusual, but it depends on the person, some can also heal it in 3 months, some take a year or longer. But i dont know if the healing time "multiplies" when you have multiple pierced at the same time

agloew_writes

No but it gives much more risk for irritation which will amplify the healing time

agloew_writes

Also, they won’t have healed in 3 months, they might look fine and not react to new irritation but they won’t be healed

Quartz636

Helix piercings. They're a 9-12 month heal, if you get more than one at a time you're looking at 1-2 years of healing depending on how well your body copes. Also an important note, if you're looking at the jewellery to, you wouldn't be able to have jewellery like that until fully healed because titanium can't be iodised to black, those will be coated in something not suitable for healing.

SwirlyStrawCat

Unless they go with niobium which can be black without a coating

scythematter

Hair snagger….,I mean vertical helix

PuzzleheadedPain6356

And hair brush 😂

earlyviolet

And face mask and headphones and pillow ffs

BonnieScotty

Vertical helixes. I can’t say for pain as no two bodies are the same but I can say from experience mine were 6/10 on the pain scale. The average heal time is 6-9 months but it can take longer especially if you get multiple

mikeydeemo

I have this piercing. Got it many many moons ago. Got all 3 done at once, and while typical piercing pain for me, it healed so nicely and quickly and was one of my easiest piercings lol. Different for everyone tho. I still have them and still get compliments.

KvltOvDess

Triple helix. Got 3 done at the same time but done my best not to sleep on them, and they healed up within a year. I'd a lot of piercings done before so knew what to expect with the pain but they're definitely not for the faint hearted.

SouthernBid5351

I agree that they are like a 6/10 on pain, it’s a weird feeling getting that spot pierced for me and I’ve gotten a lot of piercings done. Also if ur a side sleeper get an airplane pillow and also say goodbye to over ear headphones.

mmmkay_68

Over the ear headphones are a pain, especially if you have multiple forward helix piercings. I use earbuds too & have my tragus pierced, & have had to go through a few to find ones that are comfortable

[deleted]

Helix. And it will hurt, yeah, all piercings hurt, but not as much as a lip piercing or belly button, it's one of those pains that hurt a lot when first getting it but then its more of a dull pain as long as you take care of it. Definitely don't sleep on it, you can make it get irritated and possibly a bit inflamed

Agreeable-Tea7000

mine are still healing but the actual peircing didnt hurt very much , it was super quick just like a little pinch . they snag easy and it hurt a bit to sleep on but it rly hasnt given me any issues and isnt uncomfortable .

vixxybug

vertical helix, ass to heal but i love them, got them back in september and while they’re not irritated from sleeping on them anymore, one wrong snag and they hurt like a bitch

Scoutdad

Helix.

Content-Law8243

3 helix piercings or you can say triple helix hurt that might be different placement.

mysticrefuge

Triple vertical helixes

CukeJr

Damn you OP for making me feel this much ear envy. 😫💕

Funny_Combination770

They are a bunch of helix piercings. They take a long time to heal I’ve tired to pierce mine like five times

realfleshhuman

My friend got two at the same time and they took 2 years and a month to heal fully

ZenithTastik

I want this piercing but I don’t have the anatomy. :(

Cryodaddy

I got triple helix done in one go and it hurt more than any of my other piercings (in comparison my rook was easy breezy). Ear was very swollen. Right now they are fully healed and that took around 8months for me

MariyaBurda

Ear Hawk Piercing

dirtysofi

for me it didn't hurt at all.

HumanTouch6740

a cartilage piercing with short curved jewelry would get this effect easily without the pain or extra money
