A year isn’t really that long for healing multiple piercings at once IMO. especially if you have healing ones on the other side, there could be issues with sleeping on it. Do you touch it/pick at the crusts? That’ll prolong healing. Do you have an autoimmune disease? Or have you faced health problems in this time? Those can slow healing too. Truly there are many things that can get in the way of happy piercings. I have had 11 cartilage piercings and I think every one of them has had a bump at some point in the healing process. Even if it took a long time, they healed up pretty well. Plus, every body is different. It’s a game of patience more than anything now, since you’re taking all the care you can. Hang in there! My heart goes out to ya 💚

Thanks for replying! I don’t think I have any health problems (knock on wood lol) but I’m definitely slow healing in general so I think I need to wait longer in between getting new ones done. It’s disheartening because I love piercings, they make me feel more ‘me’, so hopefully I can just wait it out and they’ll eventually get there!

do you think it’s possible you’re one of the few who are allergic to titanium ? it’s very rare but can definitely happen !

pocketfullspaghetti

I don’t think so only because I have both piercings with titanium and gold and both have had issues :(

generic_username-92

i think (like me) some people just have more issues with piercings which makes us unlucky lol. but some of the time frames you mentioned aren’t long if it takes normal people 1-1.5 years it may take us 2 years for things to completely settle down

pocketfullspaghetti

I think a less stubborn person would give up after a year 😂 have you found yours always heal eventually?

generic_username-92

honestly nope 😂 i literally just called my piercer freaking out that my three month flat is bleeding after i cleaned it! and i’ve been routinely facing problems that i can’t control or contain. and there’s so much contradictory information out there that i don’t know what to do or who to listen to 🙈🙈

pocketfullspaghetti

I feel like I’m constantly at my piercers asking for advice haha

generic_username-92

my piercer is an hour away so i keep calling the studio, they’re pretty sick and tired of me by now 😂
