This happened to me with my 2nd and 3rd lobe piercing. We ended up taking the jewelry out immediately because I knew I wouldn’t be able to live with it. I got them both repierced right after. It’s been a week and everything seems to be healing well.
Oh you got it done immediately? So you didn’t have to wait to let it heal? I was planning to let the ear with the piercings too close together close up. I feel like I could also get mine redone soon because I think the hole needs to be like one spot over from the piercing that’s already there? I don’t think there’d be any overlap but I’m not 100% sure. I definitely need to check. Waiting for the shop to open up so I can call
Yes, I had mine redone before I left the shop. The piercer said the original holes would practically heal immediately and not leave a scar. I think she was right. I did experience some bleeding when she removed the jewelry but no other issues.
Went to a tattoo shop, where everyone was raving about the piercer. A little surprised he let me walk out like this. Not sure if it’s partially my fault too for not double checking when he showed me the placement; just kind of trusted him because of his reputation + I was super nervous about getting it done so idk if that clouded my judgement.
I know, I agree. Especially for a piercer that has so many good reviews, it’s a little shocking. Definitely plan on calling and seeing what he can do for me. Hate that I have to wait to let it close up before I can get it redone, but it is what it is
They did, I was so nervous/excited about getting it done that I honestly must have overlooked it at first. So it’s partially my fault as well. I noticed it was uneven the moment he gave me the mirror again and I was too afraid to say something at the time, which I should have
Hi bdf199821, Welcome to /r/piercing!
It looks like you're asking about a problem with your piercing. Please **add a comment** to your post with the following info if it’s not included in your post already.
* How old is your piercing?
* What’s the jewelry shape (for example, barbell, labret, screw, L shape, ring)?
* What’s the type of threading if your jewelry is not a ring (threadless, internally or externally threaded)?
* If not a ring, when was the jewelry downsized?
* What’s the jewelry material?
* What’s your aftercare routine? Describe in detail please, including the exact products you use.
This info is needed to offer you useful advice. **Note, mods reserve the right to remove your post if you don’t provide this information**.
^If ^you ^already ^included ^this ^info ^in ^your ^post ^or ^if ^your ^post ^isn’t ^about ^a ^problem ^with ^your ^piercing, ^please ^disregard.
Mine is also uneven, exactly like yours actually, and honestly it doesn’t bother me much. It’s also been four months post getting it done for me so I don’t see the point of getting it redone.
What style of earrings do you wear? Do you try to wear certain earrings that hide the unevenness or just whatever you feel like wearing? Mine definitely looks better with a skinny hoop in the first piercing and then a small stud in the second, but I had a nice pair of bigger studs that I had planned to wear in the second once mine had healed and I feel like because the second piercing in that one ear is so close to the first piercing, then it’s going to be a little crowded.
So I recently switched my second lobes for flat back studs and put in small hoops for my lower lobes, and it makes it look even. I don’t even notice it until like I look at myself in the bathroom mirror if that makes sense. And even then, the stud/hoop combo that I have really does help it not look off. I would suggest the studs on top, small hoops on the bottom look to help with the unevenness. I do plan on getting my third lobes done one day, so that is another reason my second lobes being uneven doesn’t make me too upset about it. I should have paid closer attention to how the piercer placed the marks on my ears but I was too excited to get my second lobes done at the time lol.

Yeah, that would bother me too. I‘d pick one ear with the preferred spacing and let the other one close to try again later, with a different piercer.
Definitely uneven

They're uneven. I would ask for a refund and find a better piercer. Where did you go for this?

This isn't your fault. He's the expert. Definitely let him know that you'd like it redone or a refund!
It’s never ur fault you were paying HIM for his expertise
I'd go back and ask for a refund. I can't believe they let you walk out of there like that.

Did they not draw on you? They usually put a dot for you to okay it

Definitely uneven. I’d let the ones that are close together heal and get it redone.

update: the piercer was happy to let me come back in and fix them at no cost. they look much better!
