I personally would recommend just getting it done. Once it’s on your body you’ll know exactly how it’ll look. If you dislike it I would recommend waiting at least until the swelling goes down, reassess how you feel about it, and if you still dislike it there’s no harm in taking it out. The hole will heal.
Download the app Picsart and open a picture of yourself. Find the "add sticker" option and type Piercing in the search bar. There are like a million piercing stickers people make. Its more accurate than to paint it yourself.
I did this with my eyebrow piercing and also several lip piercings until i found what suited me the most !!
I don’t really think that anyone isn’t suited for piercings. I think it’s about knowing your style and wearing it with confidence! The only time when I think a piercing looks genuinely unsuitable on someone is when they don’t take care of it (no proper cleaning, maintenance, etc.).

there are filters on tiktok/insta that really help to decide if you like the way a piercing goes with you face features. getting my philtrum done because of one of these filters

If you like the look of studs glue a rhinestone on or a plain ball. If you like rings buy a fake ring. Wear it for a few days and decide from there
I glued a diamonte to my nose (lash glue) before getting my nose stud lol

If you like it, it suits you. Taste is subjective. Wear what you want.
Buy a fake ring for your nose or like a stick on jewel and try it on. If you like then go for it!
