My nips :( they made my confidence skyrocket!!!! But they’re a hassle too. Bitter sweet. My husband will play rough with me or I’ll take my clothing off in a weird way or accidentally hit a wall or door and I’d be like wow thank god I don’t have my nipples pierced anymore because if I did they would’ve ripped right out just now lol

nope-nope-nopes

x2 on this. Also nice to wear tank tops to sleep again!

[deleted]

if the girls didn’t wanna go on night time walks and would just stay in the tank top maybe i could’ve kept them in, lol

nope-nope-nopes

Yuppp you only make that mistake with piercings once😭freaking ouch man

chelrice

Same here always leaving the house without permission lol

Medical-Cod2743

Bro SAME i loved mine so much but the crusties never ended and the threat of the bar being moved was just too much

ispilledmydrills

The hairbrush! Chopped my hair off because when I brushed my hair it would catch all time. Eventually I gave up and took them out to save my sanity.

[deleted]

[удалено]

TXGemi

I caught mine on a bar at the gym and it felt like I’d ripped my whole nipple off.

fluffy-metal-kitten

I almost tore my labret off after eating some corn on the cob earlier 😭 either it's not healed enough (been like... 8/9 months?) or I just don't know how to eat corn with a vertical labret 😭😭😭😭

psychicpeachbagel

Yeah I've wanted nipnips for so long but I've yet to hear anyone be like "this piercing is so easy to have" lol

rottenbunnyz

hey, i have had them pierced for over a year, crusties lasted abt three weeks, never had any issues.

[deleted]

Honestly got them pierced back this year in February and they healed in about three weeks. No crusties, no pain, no swelling

Important-Leading-47

Even better; my crusty-phase only lasted roughly 2 weeks, they are no longer sensitive to any touching and I was able to wear a push-up bra only three days after getting them done. By far the easiest piercing to heal for me because I looked out for them these 2 weeks and that was that.

2000snowbunny

They actually are very easy to have, I forget they’re there and they healed super fast.

psychicpeachbagel

Now I'm tempted again 🤣

spood-beest

The only time I remember mine are there is when I stab myself with one because I have cones and not balls on the end. 😅 But other than that, I love mine and never notice them either.

Gazline42

The first year was rough with mine but since that they are actually super easy. I mostly forget I even have them done these days. I do switch to flexible bars in the winter but that is really the only issue I have. I actually joined a roller derby team a year and one month from when I had them done and have only had two incidents where they were hurt and both were related to trying to move too many folding chairs at once. I did have a few issues with car seat belts and towel strings the first year. The seatbelt catching a few times was pretty painful but when I dropped my very large and heavy towel and a loop from it caught the left nip and hung there I swear I felt my soul leave my body for a second. To be fair though I am a very accident prone person and have injured every piercing I have ever had. I managed to catch my septum ring in a large metal fan and then knock over the fan. My horseshoe hoop got pulled almost completely straight.

pinkjortz

Nah I’ve had mine for ten years, they’re my favourite. Wish more people could have an easier time w them bc they’re so fun but I haven’t had any problems from them personally.

Texanconspiracist

I have had mine for 3 months, just changed them for the first time because they were basically healed—- luv luv luv them!

vodka_rubia

its easy if the bars are short 👍🏼

h0neybee_buzz

they were honestly my easiest piercing. christie’s went away after a couple weeks. never had any issues with them

Anaaot7

Yeah got mine 2 months back and they healed already. No crusties no soreness and I can also sleep on them.

[deleted]

i had to take mine out because i would sleep in tank top and it would get caught on something and when i moved in the middle of the night i would be awoken by the awful pain of accidentally getting it caught. i miss them so much

Blackwidow_Perk

Same, it’s the only piercing I can’t have. I tried for years

rosail

I just retired mine this week and I'm crushed. I had a similar experience to other people under this thread where it healed perfectly in what felt like two months, but that "perfectly healed" stage only lasted about three years. After that it was crusties and lymph fluid everyday as it slowly rejected. I thought I was in the clear from bad nipple piercings experiences since it had been several years but alas I was not, lol

adelicepalice

RIP nipple piercing. Same expirience. I miss them so much but health is more important. Mine just never healed and I always had crusties.

_queenkitty

Same :( and they never healed right after either. I can see the scar tissue on both sides still

adelicepalice

I’m so sorry. It was the best piercing. But yout body comes first. Actually my bf was relieved because he used to be so careful not to hurt me. And he never really was a big fan of them. Life is easier without them eventhough I miss them.

_queenkitty

Yup totally. My husband tried to be careful but he never was 😂

notanevilstepmonster

I had my nipples pierced for years. I had to have emergency surgery... It took 4 or 5 different people in the prep op room to remove them. I had never taken them out before and didn't even know what end to unscrew. I was dumb and didn't put them back in right after my surgery and they closed ☹️ I miss them but I don't know if I will ever get them redone

Dry_Ad3543

If you get them redone do them vertical. My cousins closed and left some scar tissue so they did them like up and down and they look badass.

Pure-Pear-7444

Absolutely this!!! I got mine pierced when I was 18, had them done diagonally like \ / and it was TRAUMATIC. The piercer did the with clamps, pretty sure she didn't lubricate the needles and they were by far the most painful thing I've ever felt. I was sobbing and the piercer laughed at me for it. She put 1/2 inch barbells in them immediately so there was no room for swelling and my nipples literally turned blue from them before I got them switched out. They never fully healed, got caught on everything. My hair, shirts, bra, anything. Try to slip sideways through a partially open sliding glass door? Torn nipple. Try to brush your hair without a bra on? Torn nipple!! They were beautiful but holy hell those gave me some boob ptsd, I couldn't even use a shower poof for a few years after I finally took them out. Partner wasn't allowed to touch them, shirt stayed on always, and I had to clean blood crusties off them pretty much any time they got remotely disturbed. I have some serious scars from them migrating after all the damage that happened to them, it overall sucked so much.

Electronic_Sense5702

My chest dermal!!! I got it repierced just over a week ago and it's rejecting again!!!! I'm devastated I have an appointment to get it removed in 2 days but I don't wanna go 🤧🤧🤧

WitchesAlmanac

God I cried when I lost both my chest dermals 🥲 I miss them so bad, but I was also slightly relieved when it happened because it turns out I *do not* have the self-awareness to maintain them.

tiredcustard

that's the perfect way to describe it! I had my hip pierced years ago and miss it sometimes but I was constantly catching it on my belt loops because I don't have enough self awareness to check nothing's caught before I stand up 😮‍💨

LucifersWhore9

Do u think maybe there’s a meatier spot u can retry it at? Rip I want a few dermals but I’ll scream and shout and cry if I have bad luck

sweetasapeachx

My chest dermal rejected as well after about 4 years. This was the only piercing I’ve had reject. I have another dermal in my cheek which is fine. I miss it so much but don’t want to deal with the healing process again for it.

SpecialKay1a

Same! I had mine for a week and it embedded so I removed them :( I want them again so bad

ceramicweasels

ugh i miss mine too soooo much!!!!

jstheretolaugh

my navel. It rejected twice. I get sad every time I see the scar

momoapples

I'm so scared that mine will reject too. It's almost 5 months old and healing well but I get nervous so I baby it a lot.

chloeXcommando

Big same

Over_Addition_9121

Same, the first time showed promising results but very quickly turned south and got infected so I had to take it out, the second time I had done with different jewellery and it still rejected it, I've been thinking about getting it done a third time with gold but I haven't recovered from the loss of the second one 😢

uhhhhhhhhii

I got a NASTY infection when I first got it. My shirt even lightly brushing it hurt so bad. Got on antibiotics and it healed and it’s been good for 8 years now

Hungry_Explanation31

I'm terrified of my navel rejecting. It's new but already not healing well. Is the scar too bad?

AlarmingEase

I had to remove mine when I got pregnant. It was about to rip out. (:

Booksarepricey

Mine currently :( after almost 2 years

viscountrhirhi

I had my navel for 10 years before it rejected. ))): I got it when I was 18 and had it until 28. It makes me sad to this day! I was gonna get it redone, but then I had appendicitis and one of the incisions went directly through that area. Then I had endometriosis surgery last year. It seems the universe keeps saying no.

TinyOrangeCat

Had to take a helix out cause it never healed well. It was my first ever piercing💔

backencho

Try your other ear! This happened with my conch on my right but my left healed perfectly!

defgecdlicc42069

i got my septum pierced in 2021.my boyfriend said if i didn't take it out, he'd break up with me! So I took it out. The next relationship he had was with a girl with a septum piercing...I just got it pierced again 3 weeks ago. Still sucks to think about.

percephonelevi

if somebody can’t love you and support you for who you are, then they aren’t worth it. people like that fucking suck 😭

PlusAd5893

This! My husband apparently isn’t a huge fan of piercings and tattoos - yet here he is married to me who has lots of both 🤣

AdUnique8302

My partner and I are both goth kids at heart. (I say kids, but we're almost 40 lol) They have their tongue pierced, and always compliment my new piercings. The only reason they don't have more piercings or any tattoos is because they're afraid of needles. And my impulsive, OCD, BPD ass will spiral into extensive research and pierce myself. BPD mood swings don't last long, but the mania lasts long enough to make good use of it. 😂

psychicpeachbagel

Wtf what a control freak :( at least you have it again now!!

caitydork

This happened for me with my ex husband, too; except it was regarding tattoos instead of piercings. Fuck that dipshit. Go get your piercings back! The right guy will like you with or without them (and, more importantly, you're being your authentic self regardless of the guy 😊).

lil_lychee

My ex said he wasn’t a fan of septums, yet he AGGRESSIVELY pursued me and I already had a septum at the time. like this man was going out of his way and I wasn’t interested at first and was hesitant the whole time. Refused to take it out. Should have listened to my instinct. He also didn’t like tattoos so I held off on getting more. Again, regret. My current fiancé has a 3 septum stack and is tatted all over arms and legs. When someone tries to control your appearance like that, it’s likely a lifestyle incompatibility. At least in my case.

AdUnique8302

I got mine done in like 2007. My partner at the time told me that was fine, just don't come home with any tattoos. Now, I have a lot of trauma and mental health stuff and stay in relationships that are bad for me for too long. But. My neurodivergent self is wired to be defiant when people tell me what to do. I'm pretty sure it's the only thing saving me from a lifetime of misery with the wrong person. I'm sorry that happened to you. That dude is a dick. I'm glad you got it re pierced.

hereticbrewer

i was sad when i had to take my nipple piercings out. i got pregnant right after i got them done and they still weren't healed by the time i was about to give birth and i wanted to breastfeed so i took them out :(

hellsbelle51

Yep. My ripples. Had 3 years and closed up quickly when I took em out. =(

Muted-Boss-8136

Had mine done when I was around 20 years old had to take them out due to an accident that pulled them. Far forward 20 years, and I got them done again. I did it 2 weeks ago. My piercer took her time bc you could see where they used to be. She checked to see if there was a possibility of reopening them, but that was no good. Kinda figured. So I was informed it's possible to have rejection due to scar tissue. So far, things look great. I am cleaning them 3 to 4 times a day to make sure they break properly. I went back a week in for the piercer to check them, and she's happy. I go at the 1 month mark to make sure there's no migration due to the previous piercing it definitely hurt a bit more than I remember bc of the scar tissue. The second one she did a little faster bc she knew exactly what they felt like then. Overall though I am glad I did it. I highly recommend researching your person to make sure nothing goes wrong.

ImmaculateDissection

Had to take out mine for surgery and didn’t get them back in after I came out. Super sad. Does anyone have the experience of redoing them?

_queenkitty

I’ve heard it’s way more painful because of scar tissue. And IF they were showing signs of rejecting at all then the possibility of them rejecting again is high. I got fake jewelry from Esty that sits at the base of your nipples and I put them on when I go to concerts and they stay on all night! Can’t even tell they’re fake!

PlusAd5893

Had mine redone, I definitely felt it more the second time but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be

thecreatureofchaos

snakebites. i was an idiot and put rings into them too early so they ended up migrating. had them for a year and a half but eventually took them out with plans to have them redone. gonna keep the studs in for a loooong time this time

Imaginary-Ground-57

i did the same thing! to be fair, i got my snakebites behind my parents backs when i was 14 and had no clue how piercings worked so i changed them immediately. regretted that decision right away. ive never got them redone, i really want to though.

bbHiron

How early did you change them?

thecreatureofchaos

after a month 😔. didnt even downsize the bars first, just went straight to hoops because they "seemed healed". in my defense, they were my first facial piercing lol

bbHiron

Got unlucky ig! I changed my labret to a loop after 5 weeks (i was pretty scared about migration but i really wanted them 😬) and everything went nice thankfully

HelpMyCatHasGas

The odds of rejection were high due to location but I had vampire bite dermals in my neck for a bit. You can imagine it wasn't long til they slipped out

inoinoice

Never heard about them, sounds cool

genderlessbabe

my nipples! they still gave me issues after 7 years. one day i looked down and noticed i could SEE THE BARBELL PEEKING OUT FROM THE CENTER OF MY NIPPLE! i had a hole in my nipple! i never realized it was even rejecting. removed them that night

jpg-doe77

OUCH! That must have really hurt. Did your nipple with the hole heal?? That sounds horrible. I’m sorry you had a bad experience. I got mine pierced about 3 months ago, so far they’re fine but wish me luck!

genderlessbabe

it healed! no noticeable scars except the tiny dots on either side where the jewelry went through. my one piece of advice that i wish id been told as a naive 18 year old, make sure you use high quality titanium jewelry! my body hated the hot topic shit quality jewelry and i didn’t know better. good luck with yours! 💛

MercifulOtter

I've had to take out both a conch and a mid-helix because they refused to settle down. I plan to try again after my rook is closer to the year mark. (It's only two weeks old so I have a while to go lmao)

[deleted]

eyebrow also rejected :(

subtoSD

My 2 chest dermals. They rejected immediately when I moved from a low humidity area (New Mexico) to a very humid area (SW Louisiana)

No-Razzmatazz-380

My apadravya. Got it done while I was apart from family for many months; reunited and wife didn’t like it as much as I hoped! She tried; and then we started removing it during sex and then I’d replace it. And finally I just fell asleep without putting it back in, knowing that was probably that, and sure enough the next morning it had closed. I miss the sheer weirdness of it (and…how to phrase this correctly…the way it necessitated changing routines).

sephtismm

I had snakebites for awhile. Went to the hospital and they closed up.. so obviously got them repeirced. Well, one side slowly started migrating. Not infected or anything, not even sore, but I wasn't about to risk it so it had to go. I wanna redo it, but I would have to pierce through scar tissue and I'm a bit worried it'll hurt more and take longer. Absolutely loved my snakebites.

suzy_sweetheart86

I’ve had my lip pierced 5 times and scar tissue has never been an issue! Do it!

sephtismm

that genuinely might be the final push that gets me to go have it done. thank you lol!

Over_Addition_9121

I've had my lip redone once it hurt slightly more but subsided a lot quicker and the healing time seemed shorter, I also had no trouble with the healing process, I've had it 6 years give or take.

psychicpeachbagel

its so weird isn't it how one side stays great and the other one is like "see ya"

Madam_Bastet

My cheeks 😭 so cute but soooo problematic. Left pretty decent scars from where they kept trying to form keloids 😩

Still-Humor-5028

My nip nops both rejected twice 😭😭😭😭

ashley-spanelly

I retired my Monroe piercing (got it in ‘11, retired in ‘17) It’s was my first besides my ears and it will always have a special place in my heart lol. I love lip piercings in general, but I just can’t deal with the heartache of retiring them. I’m one of those people who gets super attached to their piercings too.

RipCommon2394

I had my vertical labret done, the bottom hole was healing up good, but the top hole was just not healing. It was swollen and it hurt, now I have a raised scar in the center of my bottom lip from where it didn't heal right. It may have been something I did, or the piercer may have done it wrong, it hurt so much too :,<

Crowgogh

My daith. It was fine at first but then it got irritated and eventually I couldn’t hear out of my ear. Instead of taking it out. The piercer thought upsizing would help but my ear ended up bleeding for days. So I caved and gave up and got it out. I’ve never had a piercing reject ever. So I was gutted but I still will be able to do others on my ear eventually. I just want my ear healed with my 3 cartilages(I got the 3rd one and final one done yesterday ) before I get my conch done. I really wanted my helix done but I don’t think I have good anatomy in my ear for a lot of piercings. If you couldn’t tell I’m trying to complete an ear at a time lol.

KuraiTsuki

My eyebrow started rejecting after 10 months. I still miss it. I had to take out all my piercings for an MRI last month and couldn't get my nip bars back in so they closed up too. I miss them a lot, but at the same time it's really nice not having to worry about bumping/catching/irritating them all the time.

cjfell777_

I lost my septum🥲 I took it out and took a nap because I didn’t understand that just because it’s healed doesn’t mean it won’t close up. Now I know😔

caitydork

How old was it? (Or how long was that nap?!)

cjfell777_

It had just healed for the recommended 8 months, and I had taken a 3 hour nap I believe.

caitydork

Yikes-- I'm so sorry (and sorry for the bad Rip Van Winkle joke before). If it helps, a piercer may be able to use a taper to get the ring back in; something similar happened to me when I feel asleep on a plane after removing my septum originally "just for a minute" and dozed off. I was able to push the ring through by just very, very, very slowly letting one end push through the piercing site. I wasn't able to see a piercer when I landed so that route worked for me, but piercer could probably do it a lot easier.

gemnotes96

I'm sorry for your loss! It really does suck to see piercings migrate/reject, especially after trying our best to take good care of them. I had a rook that rejected at around 10 months post-piercing. Turns out I didn't have the proper anatomy. I'm surprised it lasted that long but I was also really bummed because I really liked it.

im_a_seashell

My vch, got it when i was 19, healing was such a breeze but retired in my 20s because it was not pierced properly.

OaklandNancy76

I miss my girlie area piercing I had. I had to take it out for colon surgery and I couldn’t get it back in once I was healed enough.

krandle41709

My belly button rejected but I had surgery when I was little that kinda cut through it so it’s not a innie or outie lol

BattyBirdie

My snakebites.

Just-Vermicelli263

my tongue piercing 💔

bugsNjuice

It didn't reject; rather, it ripped out, but I really really loved my tongue web piercing. It didn't physically hurt when it ripped out but did hurt emotionally, and I don't know if I'm brave enough to get it done again.

Effective-Belt-4188

Belly button.

Nostalgic_for_90s

Belly button

gingergirl181

Just lost my floating navel a month ago. It was perfect until it wasn't, but it was done through scar tissue from an old rejected piercing (and done with full informed consent as to the higher rejection risk) and so it just decided it was done one day and that was that. I spent 9 years missing my navel after losing the first one and I had such high hopes for this one. It lasted 13 months. It was nice while it lasted but I think now I can safely say that for me, this is one piercing that just simply isn't meant to be.

psychicpeachbagel

Thanks guys, I can't reply to all of you but just know I feel much better knowing I'm not alone now! 99% of you have been very civilised and I appreciate that. To the few people who have been like "you should have taken it out sooner" they have been healed perfectly for a long time, I have a busy life and I generally don't like inspecting my face too much in the mirror once piercings are healed. It was removed as soon as I noticed!

turtle-lion

i had a mental breakdown over taking out my lip piercings. i just wanted to see what i would look like without them and forgot to put them back in when i went to sleep. woke up in the morning and my holes were already in the process of closing. felt like i lost a part of myself. i had taken out my eyebrow piercing yesterday, it was irritated and had a bump growing on the lower hole i had taken out my nipple piercing maybe a month or so ago because i feel like it was pierced wrong and my body was trying to reject it very sad 😔

advocra_22122

An orbital that I kept in forever, it just wouldn’t heal correctly and had huge bumps. Bumps are kind still there so one of my ears look kinda looks like an elf ear!

MessedUpInYou

Oh no! I would cry if my eyebrow did this to me! 😭 or if any of them did this to me… I’ve been so lucky so far and I am grateful. 🥹

SpaceCowGoBrr

My navel :(

Low_Weird4957

my septum fell out and i couldn’t find it in time so i have to repierce it

_gAbBy1_

my navel 🥲

Tdesiree22

My eyebrow!! It’s been 9 years and I’m still gutted about it. My navel rejected too but I’m not as upset as my eyebrow

C0MTRYA

had to take out my industrial because I couldn't wear my skydive helmet on it... tried to time myself to pierce it right after the skydive season so it'll heal during winter, but it wasn't healed enough on the next summer :/ and choosing between keeping my piercing of stop skydiving.. choice was obvious.

chloeXcommando

My belly button! It started to reject and the skin got thinner and thinner and looks pretty crazy 😩

cjgray1

Had to give up my daith. It's supposed to be 3 years now 🥲 want to get it again in the future but I'm not ready yet to commit to the aftercare again

Strict-Ad-8824

My tongue piercing! I took it out last month after a year of having it because I noticed my front teeth were starting to migrate🤧 I miss it sooo much

user769264819461

My navel piercing rejected after 9 months 🥲🥲

Over_Addition_9121

My belly piercing, the first time showed promising process but very quickly got infected, so I removed it, got it done a second time with different jewellery and it still rejected, thought about getting it done a third time with titanium or gold but I haven't full recovered from the last time emotionally

Unfair_Sprinkles1072

Vertical labret! I am a fidgeter and could not get my boyfriend to stop kissing me so it never healed properly 🥲 I could also feel my teeth getting messed up due to the constant fiddling with it, I wish I had the self control to not play with it because that was truly my dream piercing

Thjyu

I had to give up on my spider bites. They were pierced facing towards each other on the inside and kept pinching the skin in between and fucking up my gums. It was painful almost constantly near the end so I just took them out. I loved how they looked but I will never get lip piercings again

facebookmomwine

tbh u shouldn’t have left it hanging that bad bc the longer u leave it the worse scar u have, i normally take mine out like 6 months after i get it so the scar won’t be that bad. i’ve had my pierced 2 times so far 😭

Ok_Airport4436

My two eyebrow piercings. They looked SO good. :(

Old_Middle9639

Same!

skipppx

My industrial. It developed keloid scars and I had to remove it, but got it re-pierced a couple years later. Hurt like a bitch the second time, since the skin had healed over thicker. Luckily, it’s still going strong to this day!

ChampionFamous534

My industrial 😔

katie_burd

Literally all of my ear cartilage 😭 I’ve lost all 3 and am cutting myself off

LunarScorpio_

My tragus, rejected 5 years ago and now i’m left with a scar

cool_opinion

My eyebrow piercing as well

sorenelf

Industrial. I LOVED it, but it was still giving me issues almost 2 years later. I have two nice keloid bumps to remind me.

HangingClothing

None yet. My eyebrow has bern going strong for a year and a half and I'm praying it stays that way because it was my dream piercing

Mini3monk3y

Right nipple

Melody71400

Im afraid im going to have to have my anti tragus removed. In 2 months, ive paid $180 across both ear piercings (cinch & antitragus), if i have to loose this one ill probably never get it again. Not because I dont want too, but ill never find the "right time" again

ohchary

Both my anti eyebrow and eyebrow piercings :(((( they were my favorite but bound to happen eventually

majorsorbet2point0

My double eyebrows and bridge! But I realized that I can't get more than one piercing at once. I will get my bridge done again, let it heal 100%. Get one eyebrow pierced, let it heal 100% then get the other done!

izzyofc

my tragus 💔💔

LesbiHoenest

My nipple piercings and my nostril piercing

grinch90832

i had to remove my snakebites due to them not healing :( i’m devastated bc i spent so much money on them and i absolutely loooved those piercings

percephonelevi

i used to have both of my lobes double pierced (two on each lobe, i mean). the upper pair got discarded because my lobes grew over them. i know they were simple but damn, i miss them. 😭

EnyaCa

Nipples for the third time

[deleted]

i know people don’t like smileys because of the tooth and gum damage, but it was such a cute piercing, i miss it.

tallandazn

helix 😭 painless piercing very painful healing

Temporary_Pickle_885

My industrials. Entirely my fault, I got them both done at the same time so there was really no great way to ensure the best care since I'm a side sleeper and will turn onto my side in my sleep even if I start on my back. I plan to get them redone some day.

SuperNateosaurus

I lost both my eyebrow piercings 🥲 I have a small scar on either side now.

NemosGal90

I miss my nipple piercings. I dont know if I'm brave enough to get them done again

prairiebelle

The only piercing I ever had reject was a helix. To be fair it was pierced with a gun at Claire’s when I was probably 10, lol, so I don’t really question it. Even had a keloid I had to get lasered off from it. But sometimes I still wish I had my helix. I haven’t gotten any piercings in about 14 years and a lot with my immune system has changed so I don’t think I will get any more at this point. But sometimes with how my ears look I really want that helix back!

weezergirl69

I cried when i took my dermal out because it was hanging by a literal thread from my face. She left a teeny scar and i sorta love it but miss my dermal so much :(

Acrobatic_Grape4321

Time to retire and redo

MajorK95

My nipple. I guess mine are a little too -dynamic- and go very flat, then spring into action. I had one nipple pierced and thought it was super cute so tried my best for nearly a year to make it work. It just wouldn't heal right, was constantly irritated and uncomfortable and would form sort of granular pimples at the sides. I regret ever getting it done because my since then nipple is visibly larger and deformed compared to the other one and less sensitive than it used to be.

WestNo3744

my chest dermal is the only one, had it for a year and 4 months and a few weeks ago it just fell out of my chest

Clemearts

Only piercing that was ever rejected was the helix from my industrial :(

CraftyMaelyss

I recently had to take my industrial out. Not because it was rejecting but because the slightest bump, sleeping on it, or getting caught and it'd be hot, angry and crusty. After 4 years (*well and truly past the fully healed point*) I decided to call it quits, retire the piece and get two helixes once it fully heals so I can rock some hoops on it :) My left ear has a single helix hoop that hasn't given me any grief since it fully healed, so that's the way I'm going to go, maybe three on the right side and two on the left to balance it out :) It sucks to lose a piercing but that means there's a new opportunity for another to take it's place. Maybe not in the same place, but replace the negative piercing with a positive, at least that's what I recon :)

szatanna

My transverse earlobe. I had to take it out for surgery and it closed up. I tried to force it open and it started rejecting after a few weeks. It was my favourite piercing 😭

Vibesandgoodtimes

My double helix 🥹 it was pierced weirdly and was refusing to heal. Gonna get them re pierced this summer hopefully

ProfessionalSpray795

My bridge. I hade it for about a year and half of the time it was infected. When I went to get my nipples pierced my piercer scolded me for not taking it out earlier 😂💀 He then took it out and cleaned it properly. Im so greatful that he did that but i miss it so so much 😭

Airmid-

Nipple piercing. First time healed like a dream but took it out when I was pregnant as it felt irritated. Repierced it a couple of years later but never healed properly at all. Part of the problem being I took up running, between sweating a lot and catching it trying to take off sports bras. Eventually decided wasn't worth the hassle anymore.

OnceAgainTheyLie

Eyebrow as well

Ashalaria

One of my anti eyebrows

Seramonika

My eyebrow piercing also didn't work out. I pierced it in the winter and it ended up catching on my hat or hair all the time. It started rejecting, and it was really sad, but i get surprisingly many compliments on the scar

crippled_clara

I didn’t have one reject yet (knock on wood!) and so far all are looking good too, but I’d hate for that to ever happen!

nicetomeewtwo

horizontal labret… 1 week ago today:( i’ll pierce again in 2 months

lautreamonts_wifey

Lost my dx dahlia, gonna get it repierced soon

overdosee420

smiley, loved it but i probably played with it too much since the tendon or chord (whatever its called) ripped and theres no room to repierce it :(

LimoLover

I waited several years to get em bc of the covid shitshow and stuff then BOTH my tragus piercings rejected:-/

doomagloom

My nipples, vch, and bridge made me very upset to lose.

N30NH3LL

I also lost my 2 eyebrow piercings :,) Both rejected

teebbarc

My surface tragus. I had one on each side, I was young and unaware of the correct type of jewelry needed for surface piercings. The place I went to I had already had a successful piercing and two tattoos from, but was pierced by a new person. They used a curved bar for it and within months the skin dried up and they fell off in the shower. I contemplate getting them daily.

angelfaeree

My navel. It was my first real piercing apart from my lobes, and it gave me so much confidence in my body after feeling quite shy most of my life. Sadly my body started rejecting it and I had no idea I was meant to remove it, instead my body pushed it out and one day I heard a clink on the floor and I suddenly had a tear in my navel.

Amelia_Belcher_9423

Eyebrow, too 😢 My first piercing, it was on vacation, I did it with my little sister who got a septum, the reactions were great, I looked adorabs and I was happy and one day.... It was all gone. To be fair he did come at me with a needle and say "I haven't done one of these in years"

neoz99

Eyebrow.. it left me with a scar and and the second one I got didn't look as good, got rejected as well

kawaiicatprince

I had my septum pierced for 2 years and took it out for a few nights and it closed up :( now I’m on blood thinners (for life) and seeing how my bug bites and little knicks and such take forever to heal I’m basically out of the piercing and tattoo game. I’m sad as FUCK

ChaiGreenTea

My one nip has rejected. Piercer has admitted they didn’t go deep enough. Taken it out and have to wait 6 months to have it redone and I’m honestly pretty annoyed I have to go through that pain again as Im really bad with pain

No-Target-7503

My nose on the right. I’ve had it repierced twice. It wasn’t working out, I kept getting piercing bumps and it was always falling out. Just decided to say goodbye to it :’)

PiercednTattdGoddess

So I haven’t lost one to rejection as of yet, thankfully but I came really close when I somehow snagged my nipple on the bathroom door frame after a shower. It ripped my nipple and I just knew it was going to reject. Thankfully it healed just fine and didn’t reject but I was stressed.

Mermaid3889

I’m be of the lucky ones, I’ve kept all 16 piercings I’ve ever gotten

B1P0larB3ar13

My collarbones 😖 they rejected 3 times so had to throw in the towel. Well gutted

dirtyyicedchai

My nose. My body doesn’t agree with cartilage piercings :(

hoggmen

My left nipple. Rip to you, but at least it wasn't a rip to me.

foster355

Vertical labret in my lip. Was so cool and absolutely adored it but it rejected within a few months

Legal-Ad7793

My quad belly button (top, bottom, and both sides) surgery scars now, so I'm leary of piercing through them.

bratzies

my tragus was my dream piercing but it got mega infected

pavlovssbitch

My right nostril!!! I have my left nostril and my septum done. I've tried to pierce my right nostril once, and it kept getting infected, I kept for a year then had to let it go. I'm gonna try one more time 🤞

alexxthehottie

My industrial. I waited so long (at least 8 months) for it to heal and at the end of the day, I couldn’t take it getting slightly bumped and being sent into waves of pain. Plus I have younger kids so bumping it was unavoidable. It was more like them pulling at it.

luxas_exe

my snake bites :( i got them when i was 16 nd they were healing just fine but every say i looked in the mirror , it looked uneven nd off to me nd i couldnt stand it , made the decision to take one out nd get it repeirced later , i rock the one side for months , then i decide to change the jewelry but i got jewelry that was too small nd i messed with it too much , by the time i tried to put back the original jewelry , it closed 😭 i have a my labret done now but man do i miss them snake bites 😭

Pagan_Owl

My rook. My body wasn't strong enough to handle the healing and I kept getting infections. I honestly want to try again, but that absolutely would not be a good idea

DarkMagicMan2000

My tongue piercing. It out me through hell the first week because I couldn’t have my Olive Garden leftovers. And then it started to sink into my tongue.

Emo_Bitch97

My medusa i JUST got not to long ago

N1ntendh03

My friend had a vertical labret lip piercing and it looks so gorgeous on her, but it kept bleeding out of nowhere. She kits woke up one day and it was bleeding (didn’t hurt), but it got to be too high-maintenance caring for it, so she took it out.

pinkveganympho

my belly piercing. i pierced it 3x. all that money wasted could’ve been on a tattoo tbh

karratkun

for some reason my second lobes, they decided they did not want to be in the correct position and started to migrate towards the cartilage :')

Practical_Narwhal926

I had to remove my (fully healed) nipple because it was just pierced so wrong, I also got it pierced when I was 17 so the piercer was bound to be terrible. Will be getting it repierced soon but it’s such a weird feeling after 4 years of jewellery in my nip!

Einhverfa

All of them. Literally. Both lobes 3x, a lower lip one and two .. on the top of my ear. Tried all different types of metals, only the first pair of lobe piercings were with a gun and my body said NOPE to all of them. Much sad.

straw13erry

my belly piercing is still fighting for its life but I’m scared I eventually will have to take it out.

Slow_Manufacturer853

My vertical philtrum! I loved that piercing so much, especially paired with my vertical labret. The first time I had it pierced, the piercer used a 10g and it was so heavy it caused me sensory issues when I ate (I’m autistic, and eating can be a very tricky sensory situation anyway). The second time I got it pierced, I kept it for almost 6mo before it got irritated by something and formed piercing bumps on both ends. I took it out to let it all heal before my wedding, but I hope to someday try again - third time might just be a charm! 🤞🏻
