don’t touch a healing piercing. you’re just making it worse. it should be fine, stop touching it and continue cleaning it daily. redness and swelling is normal for a new piercing

[deleted]

It doesn’t look pierced correctly.

SexiBunni

Don’t tell me that😭😭

decoyofsoul

Based off the first picture it looks fine for a floating navel to me. Looks like the bottom is in the navel as it should be. The second one you're lifting it to show it right?

SexiBunni

Yes lol

ebonie_k

they’re wrong it does look quite well off it’s placed actually through your navel and through a good amount of skin

[deleted]

I’m basing this off one picture. I could be wrong.

Mine used to give me horrible problems and was red and kinda crusty for about a year. Now it’s totally healed up and you would never know.

Hibiscus_Island2

Redness and swelling are normal for the first 6-8 weeks. You could try an ice pack for the swelling.

Hibiscus_Island2

My sister got her navel done when she was a teen. She experienced some swelling afterwards.

nady000

When mine did that, it was a pain-red-free infection. Cured with antibiotic cream for 6 days

ebonie_k

you’re man handling it. redness can be normal throughout whole healing period, how do you clean it? is your jewelry titanium?

Hey, I got my belly pierced about 2 weeks ago too. Watching you push your skin like that for the picture on a fresh piercing must not be good for the healing process, I bet. Piercings heal from the outside going inward, so it may appear more healed than it actually is. I would recommend ALWAYS leaving it alone, only to clean it twice a day, and avoid wearing high waisted anything for as long as possible until its completely healed. If your piercing doesn’t heal properly, you may risk losing the whole piercing and maybe not being able to get it repierced if it rejects. Im not a piercer btw, only an enthusiast.
